  1. for the interested parties viewtopic.php?f=33&t=34503
  2. Following on from the last GB viewtopic.php?f=33&t=32587 several people showed an interest in the system, its a bit of a ball ache to organise but if enough people are interested i'll do it again. to get the prices we had before i'll really need 10 people, but if we only get say, 5 i can still do it, but i'm not sure i can get as much off. so will be down to some banter and haggling with these lads to see what i can wangle. So to start the list off i'll add the names of the interested parties from the other thread. £110 (may fluctuate slightly depending on exchange rates) should inc all P+P charges etc etc. 1. Tarmac 2. Andy 3. Jacr87 4.Bradleykit 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. FITTING GUIDE: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=34684
  3. well done ladies on winning, look forward to seeing pics and well done to the mods on a cracking competition
  4. thats a bodyshop job, looks like the top of the spoiler is cracking away from the base that holds it to the boot. had it on the spoiler i bought a long split leading all the way down the leading edge, the bolt fixing section was actually seperate from the spoiler base. this was before spraying so i had it all repaired and its all good.
  5. if there is enough interest i'll look at running a second GB
  6. been looking around and this looks to be the cheapest one available anywhere. excellent price Lee
  7. that one still need to be worked out. to be honest for now i'll just have it on the fob and look at changing/modifiying later
  8. Very good idea stew
  9. re bennetts comment this isn't designed to fold flat at a set speed, that particular plate is designed specifically to do that to avoid speed cameras. and this plate, you'd need to be dismantling th eplate to spot the difference. from the front it looks like any other bolted on plate. as long as your not breaking the law by driving with it folded there isn't an issue. my local bobby said it was fine to have it sat in the window. all they care about is being able to use the ANPR and speed camera's so if your not using it while driving how the hell are they going to know. considering i was driving without a plate for 3 months as it kept falling off i never got stopped once, and i live right next to and have to go past the suffolk constabularly hq.
  10. from the people i have spoken to in the know, as long as your plate is on display when on a UK highway while on the move then you are staying within the law. if you drive with this down then you are breaking the law. the only way the police would know your numberplate did this is if you were using it illegally on the road.
  11. then get wheels from rare rims they are made to fit the zed, the offsets are better and will sit better. or have a look at riks pages, he looks to be able to get hold of some nice wheels for not to bad a price.
  12. have you thought that the reason your getting slow times on the 1/4 mile might be down to the driver. i've seen up too 2 seconds difference in the same car just with different drivers. not meant to be offensive i'm sure your just like lewis hamilton but experience counts for alot and their is a nack to good launches. some of it may come with practice. as for dyno'ing it, you really want your base map to be done on the same dyno as the place that will tune it. as comparing across dyno's is the same as blind **** measuring competition. you'll only get an accurate comparison of mods if its always done on the same one. your only option i suppose would be to map it and then put it back on the same rolling road you just used. if your car is already revving up to 7500 then something has been played with. there are only 2 companies in the UK that remap the standard ECU, thats abbey in surrey and RS tuning in leeds. so if it hasn't been to either of them its possible you have a piggy back ECU. IMHO if your about 1 second off mr lizard on a quater mile and he races on a regular basis i would tend to think its the track and the driver being the cause for the slow speed. if it hasn't been mapped yet, then a remap will defo make a big difference.
  13. a USDM plate is smaller than the JDM plate. look at the lads fitting the folding plates, they are USDM size
  14. suspect if it sounds to good to be true it usually is
  15. 2nd set stew showed are the nicest although a tad pricey compared to what you were looking at
  16. interesting to know about the tow hook, will have to look into it on mine
  17. ooooo you got pics of those as well
  18. 600/800 seems a little agressive would go 1500 and work up to 2500 then finish off with a polish compound
  19. stirling job there mate, looks really good. glad you liked it and the GB worked out. as for the wobbles, i plan to use the tow hook eye thing i got from nurrish's GB, it sticks out abit, so i'm hoping the numberplate might rest against that, will let you know when i fit mine on tuesday. am really jealous you got yours on first but really impressed with the work, really like the use of trim on the mess to tidy it up i think Shire is next to get his on
  20. both look nice, but they come with really narrow tyres. if your looking for 19's rarerims had some Ace wheels in black for about £500 inc tyres, they are second hand but look in very good nick.
  21. can't believe i have to wait till tuesday to get mine on
  22. why not start a new thread to make it easy to find, then post a link to the GB to the new thread for people in the future if they find one and not the other
  23. the berks technology sounds nice, or if you have a spare 5k the zele performance exhaust looks good
  24. try refreshing the page. i find PB doesn't always load first time
