  2. sounds good martin look forward to the pics, what HFC's did you go for?
  3. that won't be easy, red is very rare. try R35LEE he might have one, but you best bet is get any colour and spray it
  4. good to see you've come back for seconds
  5. to be honest your buying a 5 year old car, depending on how many owners its had and how good they were at looking after the car controls exactly what you end up getting. some people get 1 or 2 keys others get 3 some are missing service books or manuals. the big advantage is if its not there this forum is pretty good at sourcing most things.
  6. the whole 313 309 situation could never remember which way round it goes.
  7. should have: - 3 Keys (2 remotes and 1 valet key) one of these keys should have a small metal tag with the transponder code on it (needed to recode a new key to the car) - car pack folder - includes service book manual, radio manual etc thats off the top of my head

    350Z front

sounds an intersting build, good luck, look forward to seeing pics when all is done. never seen a 200 with a 350 front
  10. if its well looked after and serviced on schedule then they tend to be fairly bullet proof
  11. did mine ages ago its a nice change and an easy one to do
  12. glad to hear it all got sorted.
  13. if its reinforced steel it could be used to remove speed bumps i do like it though
  14. is smart repair ok for noticeable areas such as the bonnet...i always thought it was only suitable for bumpers and lower down areas? proper smart repair is for anywhere, just find a good one with good reviews, they fill and repaint the sratch and then blend it in. never had one done myself, but i'm contemplating it for the damage i have on my wheel arch, to be honest you just getting it to a good standard to sell. you shouldn't need to spend £500 to sort it out. this si the smae thing dealerships use to get cars ready before selling on second hand.
  15. love the esprit setup or the ings
  16. top notch effort i need a little more as well for another job,
  17. i got my invidia second hand it had most of the fixings, but for piece of mind i got new gaskets and fixings. not sure of all the sizes as i went to a company to have a new flexi joint added and they threw them all in for free as the mechanic was a legend. they didn't have time to do the welding so gave me everything i needed and i only paid for the flexi
  18. i know its only 5 bhp but it means a lot to me the earlier ones were 276 not 271 bhp as for differences, in standard form the 296 is higher top end but lower torque. in non standard form its easier to get more out of the older engine and you can get even more torque. go have a look a the abbey dyno thread, lots of dynos of both 276 and 296 engines showing torque curves and power gains.
  19. get a smart paint repair done, it will easily be half that, under £100 probably
  20. I still don't know how you managed to lock your keys in. And secondly all those people who leave a spare In the car, you do realise your making the imobiliser a pointless part of the car.
  21. Great advantage of it is if I don't like it or the IT department don't want it it just peels off. I can't see them having a problem, knowing them I'll end up being asked to do all he school laptops I some shape way or form. Lol
  22. Ok so it was the most enthralling Easter sunday for me so i decided to tidy up my laptop, it was looking a little tatty and it was my work laptop so i thought i'd give it a new image. this was partly bordom and tidying up but also its always on show and should give my students ideas on what they can do themselves. So this was my laptop in its original form, spent alot of time in my workshop and gets very tatty first job was to skin the top of the laptop in a base colour so i used some white. not to bad a job but its a pig to get all the air out, not as nice to lay as DI-NOC. normally easy in small scale vinyl but laying large sections is a git. I'd already picked out my designs and spent some time doing the drawings so the first job was to stick down layer 1 the black next step was the silver and then the Red last step was to put in all the little bits of detail so my laptop is easily identifiable (easy enough any way ) Total time taken: 9 hours layers and parts used: 8 reason it took so long was that the drawing wouldn't fit straight on to the lap top in one cut as the cuter i have isn't wide enough, so each layer is actually 2-3 parts with 3 layers in total. gives you a good idea of what the cutter can do. not bad for some stickers
