  1. speak to your local burglar, they can have a double glazed window out in under 5 minutes
  2. I think the leave camp has a far more eloquent voice; I read a comment recently saying that the front faces/voices put across better than the stay camp (ignoring the facts). I don't think the stay camp have quiet got the right salesmen in place yet the leave camp have some very good speakers IDS, Hannan, Farage, Boris (like them of loathe them) they are very good at getting "a" point across I don't think that the likes of Cameron, osbourne and others have had the best sales technique. i think their technique of drawing in big names from the US and Europe has had quiet the effect they wanted, i think the obama thing has possibly pushed people the other way. and the euro leaders telling people that they'd snub the UK if they left is appealing more to the british F you mentality than the "oh no I'm scared, we better stay" We are an unusual group of people; stubborn at times and i think if people push us the wrong way people will vote in protest, not because its the best option but to stick 2 fingers up. Both camps are running a fear based campaign but its being careful not to push the British public to far the wrong way. I saw an interesting video from hannan but i haven't been able to post it as it was a facebook video and can't find it on youtube.
  3. The same friend who posted the last video also shared this its nigel making friends in europe
  4. This was an interesting watch, I can't verify the facts but it puts the brexit view in a very easy to follow infomercial I'm sure coldel will find many holes in it, and much has been said already on the matter.
  5. For a long time i would listen to music on low in the background to fall asleep; i'm one of those weird people who don't cope well with silence. sleep wise i need background noise to focus on so that my brain stops processing. otherwise i have ideas/plans etc wizzing round my head for ages. I don't like working in silence either, so at work i put a radio on. sleep is difficult i struggle with it and diet and exercise, i have to tackle each one at a time I've always had low self esteem and confidence, i've learnt to hide it well, taken a lot of practice; helps being a teacher you have no choice but to combat them. but i have tell tale give away that i can't always hide. I appreciate the sense of lonliness, after uni i moved away from a lot of my mates down south, even after 10 years here i still haven't really established a network of friends. most of the people i speak to are from car clubs etc or the odd work colleague. but after the kids arrived trying to maintain any kind of social life was nearly impossible.
  6. Do you remember the days of us being nocturnal buddies on Xbox, is it still nocturnal if you are awake during the day too? Lol I wish i had the time these days i try to give my self specific switch off points, try to stop work at midnight, no phone and tablet usage after 10 give myself 30 minutes from work end to wind down before bed. not always possible but it helps.
  7. Sorry to hear you are having a bad run of things at the moment; i have had mixed responses to dealing with issues like stress and depression. I had a difficult time processing things in my late teens to the point i had attempted suicide (glad a mate was near and saved me as now i can see i would have lost so much but thats 15 years on) I have struggled with depression at different points, a few years ago i went to see a doctor as i was struggling at work; all i got was "have you tried cheering up!" so i don't tend to rate the medical profession when it comes to support for mental health. I have since come to appreciate a few things that helps me. 1. Life with depression is like being in a storm when your on a crest of a wave life can feel great and you see the benefits, but when in a trough you can't see a way out and life can be depressing - remembering the peaks and aiming for new ones can help. 2. You have to learn to love yourself; if you can't love yourself how can you expect others to love you as well. 3. make plans, change what makes you unhappy, I changed jobs to remove myself from a senior manager that made my life miserable. 4. sort your diet and sleep patterns - I became nocturnal for a while in my 20's slept in the day worked at night separated from others and ate crap. - balanced diet and sleep pattern can resolve some issues, it took me 5 years to get back to vaguely normal. i still suffer with insomnia and only average 5-6 hours of sleep a night. i have to work had not to slip into old habits. 5. this isn't an answer but it helps me - my family (2 kids) are the reason i get up in the morning, their photo at work reminds me when it gets crap why i go to work and who i'm doing it for. they cheer me up after a bad day. I have managed to control my depression without drugs, i've spent a lot of time talking and i had to go back and challenge some of my issues directly with the people involved to resolve my own internal problems. not easily done and painful at times, but it helped. I hope you can find a balance and comfort that leave you in a better place long term
  8. Having had satin black on my 350z I wouldn't go back to black wheels at all they make the wheels look smaller and the wheel arches become just black holes where the wheels should be. you lose definition and feature of the wheels. the darkest I would now go is anthracite. or as I did black chrome.
  9. glad to hear the feedback, still deciding on front only or front and rear, trying to work out where i'd install the rear cam as I can potentially fit rear sun screens but if I stick to the rear glass I can't. also my rear glass can open separate from the boot so need to allow enough cable for opening.
  10. according to husky's colour wheel purple is your matching colour!
  11. Barks sorry to see that, someones done a real number on that. whats your plan of action? repair, repaint, or redesign?
  12. I think you'll find its blue and green; will make you vent your spleen!
  13. I used to deliver pizza to meridan it was the furthest point out that perfect pizza in Coventry did.
  14. That's proper kack, sorry to hear about the keying; no one on here wants to see another mans whip damaged maliciously. hope the damage is easy to repair.
  15. you only get redundancy pay if you have nothing to go to. having just been through it in my department, they only pay out if you haven't found a job, my colleague found employment before the deadline so therefore was not classed as redundancy but as natural wastage (how convenient) you can sometimes be clever, have heard of people picking up the redundancy check and then the next day walking into another job. I should note this was in education; the real world may be different
  16. oh dear sad evo; is sad
  17. Hmm some guy from here, they went for not as much as I'd have liked tbh as no one was interested at the time. Not seen them since, no idea where they are now and unless someone else went to the trouble and imported some they would be one of a kind in the UK still. Man, this makes me really sad, their wheels are just amazing. They were mainly a concept car designer though, I'm assuming they got too busy with that and couldn't keep the wheels going at the same time. check out the website
  18. They've stopped producing wheels and kits now, makes your wheels super rare who did you sell to in the end?
  19. they call it black chrome, others call it shadow chrome,
  20. have a look at aerocoats facebook page, there are lots of examples on there
  21. yes but i need to upload them to show them, so will have to later on when i get home
  22. I'm just very aware that personal taste varies from person to person, and I don't like it when there seems to be a club standard for modding and anybody who falls outside that are shunned like a plague victim. ok so you don't like it fair enough, but pick your language carefully and I love the bmw 6 series ;-)
