  1. Managed to get some more prepping done this morning, since I am doing this in stages I will prep and prime one section at a time just to stop any rust creeping in to some of the nooks and crannies. I also came across a neat trick from a video on you tube (will look for it later) when masking up something like a block, apply tape then with a small hammer tap the tape on the edge and it will just peel away. no cutting with a knife required . . every day is a school day Top and sides next Thats all for now, thanks for looking
  2. Well done everyone, looking forward to tomorrow's instalment
  3. Well seeing as you are putting updates on prices....... ....... I will just leave this here $0.82 CAD per ltr
  4. Sorry to hear this Chris I know someone who had one and I think it was 6-7 weeks before they started to get back to normal, but its a slow process in the beginning and also how your Dad is affected by the surgery itself. Everyone is different. I agree with George, go see your dad for as long as you can, at least if you are there for when he has the op or when he is due to come out of hospital you can help him when he may need you most. Also since he is in the US I believe the healthcare system is there to provide after care as well. Might depend on his cover though, also worth checking out. I wish him well and a speedy recovery
  5. You are not alone Darren . . I can't make it either Hopefully there will be plenty of updates by the time I get up
  6. Have you got one of these too . . . http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hurst-Jaws-Of-Life-MOC-Combo-Tool-/301471633818
  7. Wow this thread is . . umm something Why don't you just add the amount of tax remaining to the sale price of the car, that way you get all your money back and the new owner gets a car that is taxed for x amount of months. Every car I sold in the UK, I did the above since I can be arsed to deal with the DVLA . . No Tax to deal with here
  8. I can't comment on the Invida .. . but since I had a Miltek, combined with HFC's its close IMO to a Nismo (nothing will be exactly the same) Graham, Dave and Will also had Miltek and HFC's. Great sound, you will always get a small about or rasp with HFC's but the louder the exhaust the more accentuated the rasp will be. If I was to go again with a 350 and Exhaust I think I would go with a Tanabe Medallion, slightly deeper note than the Miltek
  9. Do they have a runny nose? . . or a few too many goes on the Tippex? You could have borrowed mine . . . if I still had it
  10. This would be my choice if I was in the market . . or perhaps a Brabus tuned Merc
  11. Yep, it's best to fit, re-fit and repeat multiple times, it's coming along though. Good work as ever Leon
  12. Thanks Leon Yeah not rushing this one.... Even so; if I did not have a thing called work getting in the way progress would be slightly swifter
  13. Small Update, been a while since I had a chance to get more done on the old block. Over Christmas I got one of these . . . It came with a whole load of tools and gizmos Anyway, back to the final degreasing, all them annoying little holes everywhere Now I will be getting all the crud off the bits I want to polish, mask them up and get the inside and outside ready for a good anti-rust primer.
  14. Looks amazing Darren :B Is the the blue engine block a clue to a change of body colour?
  15. Really nice Colin I like that a lot, good choice
  16. Looks good Matt I am still prepping mine ready for undercoating, really not had much time recently to get on with it What LED's did you use? Mine I think will be going near a wall so was thinking of using mains electric and I have a suitable place to wire in a start button as a on/off switch.
  17. Umm, I think they both lookie-likey a piece of @*!#
  18. A-hem . . . I give you . . . . . . and the very classy . . .. If you really want to see more .. you can here http://jonsibal.com/blog/2011/01/z33-panamera/
  19. the little corner seats on the rear bumper could do with a nice fitted cushion
  20. their wheel cleaner is pretty aggressive stuff . . . use with caution or water it down other wise it will eat its way through the dirt . . and the lacquer on your rims.
