  1. Same as davey. I use whatever water is left from main wash to clean the wheels, goes down well with the eco types in the street. I then get the pressure washer out and blast them with 500ltrs which makes Yorkshire Water shareholders happy. I usually then start on my car if the wife is happy with how ive done hers.
  2. Same as above, fantastic kit but if you spend a long time in stop/start traffic you don’t need to do leg day at the gym.
  3. Bet he wishes he was head of persimmon homes, wouldn’t need to be as sneaky then.
  4. I now understand that famous Eric Cantona quote. why the seagulls follow the trawler, its not because they think fishermen will throw fish into the sea BUT because the seagulls know they have to throw them back because of EU quotas. Clever seagulls. I just wish the whole brexit debacle would hurry up and finish. It was always gonna be a lose/lose senario. I didnt vote and i wouldnt vote if there was another chance as i do not know enough or have access to the complexities involved and neither do most people. Like has been said before, it was a case of saying what people wanted to hear. The main problem now when you turn on the radio is most businesses still dont know how/what to plan for.
  5. Welcome to the club, although you did get me very curious when you started with 250z.
  6. The front brace and w brace from ultra racing both fit in the boot of the 350. I had both in when i took it to garage recently. They need to be at a particular angle but def fit.
  7. Should be a great battle, I think the zed will have the slight edge in the dry but the corsa in the wet. I would spend the £500 on adjustable camber arms and toe bolts and get a full setup done (granted you would have to buy second hand parts) for the budget but you can make the most out of the tyres then.
  8. This is the thread i did, think it has links to other threads also.
  9. I got these osram bulbs when i changed mine, dont have any problems with them. Did have to fit resistors on rear indicators so they blink correctly,
  10. Yes, both mine packed in at the same time as well. There is a thread on that too. Must be common(ish) fairly straight forward to replace.
  11. Depends what you class as clean. It doesnt replace your usual shampoos. Its an extra stage to soften traffic film and larger debris and you rinse/jetwash off before moving in with the mitt and shampoo resulting in less “muck” on your vehicle for the contact stage so less chance of swirls. Having used various snowfoams and selling them, I would estimate even the best snowfoams only get rid of approx 1/3 of what your mitt (or sponge if your into self harming) does but with next to no damage where as no matter how careful and great your technique and products used are, theres always a chance of scratching and swirls when your moving something against the paintwork. Secondly though, and most importantly for some, it just looks cool.
  12. I agree @Ekona i didnt mean to imply going EV is the right thing to do, I just meant going greener in general to help the planet regardless of global warming. Whether EVs turn out to be the saviour, im on the fence like most people on the forum. What i am trying to get at is the mass consumer market need a serious tempting offer to change so until a nissan leaf is cheaper than a micra or the teslas have a 10 min charge point at every petrol station and car park its gonna be a long slow uptake.
  13. I dont think anyone can dispute the planet is getting warmer. You only have to watch documentaries and look at stats. My mum said (and i have seen old pics) the local river used to freeze every winter and people ice scated on it. Thats not happened in my lifetime. Whether it is just a climate phase the planet is going through or a direct result of mankinds actions can spark a little debate but either way, going “greener” is the right thing for us to do. Its just there has to be a compelling reason for consumers to change. The price has to be attractive or the infrastructure/USP of electric cars much better than ICE cars. Comparing it to phones, we have been in the Nokia phase for so long now where everyone wants the 8310. It does the job, has decent features and is reasonably priced. The next phase needs to be either the cheap mass produced korean/japanese type phones that do everything the 8310 did but in technicolour and for less and/or it needs to be the iphone where the infrastructure (itunes/apps) and the performance (ios/camera/screen etc) is enough to make consumers willing to spend the extra. Gonna be interesting or boring (depending on where you sit) to see how it goes and no one has even mentioned the hydrogen fuel cell cars, they may turn out to be the android phones in the analogy above.
  14. I agree its years (decades) away unless some seizmic shift happens with government/legislation. I work for a big company who “say” they are green and environmentally responsible yet my 7 options for a company car are ALL deisel.

    My 240z Project

I wish i had the money, time, skills and facilities to do something like this but i have none so will settle for gawping in awe at projects like yours. Well done. The old datsun 240 really is a fantastic looking car, love the colour too.
