  1. Looks like they've lost pretty much their entire livelihood as well as a raft of customers cars. Sad day for the car scene :-(
  2. They are pretty rare in the UK as a whole, but know a few folk with them irl. One of the owners from up Inverness way has expressed interest in meeting during the NC2017 hoon. I'll direct him to the forum.
  3. I know there have been a lot of cancellations for this year's annual hoon, but to salvage something of the gathering of Zeds, I'm gauging interest from our North Of Scotland members in meeting during the NC500 run? Even if you can't make the whole trip it's a great opportunity to meet our more remote members. IrnBru will be departing Edinburgh on the Friday morning headed to Inverness on the A9 route with whoever else from down south would like to come: http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/108823-scotland-road-trip-hoon-mk-ii-2017-friday-26th-may-29th-may/page__st__60 I'll be meeting him in Inverness on the evening of the 26th at the Premier Inn West - we could nominally arrange a time on that date for local members to meet up? The second leg of the Hoon takes us to Kyle of Lochalsh / Fort William so again, an opportunity exists for a meet on the Saturday the 27th at a time that suits everyone? The third leg I won't be taking part in but will travel in convoy to Ballachulish before peeling back across the Highlands to Perthshire for me and the missus 3rd anniversary at lands of loyal at Alyth. (awwwww) Finally, Irn Bru will be finishing the 3rd leg at Campbelltown on the 28th. So 3 locations over the last weekend in May to get a mini meet sorted out or maybe even a pit-stop mid transit depending on interest / timing. Let me know if any of you Northern Zed owners are keen for a meet! Cheers!
  4. I bought my old 03 DE for £5000 - had it about 2 years and sold it for £6300 - was standard when I got it but added a Satin Black wrap, Genuine Wedssport SA-55M's, Zeta Meister-R coilovers & Nismo interior matting / decoration. I know I lost money, but I don't think I did too badly. I expect to lose zero money on my current Zed, however - for obvious reasons.
  5. Japanese are notorious for adding aftermarket gadgets to thier cars. My 380RS has an ETC reader and transponder that was fitted by the first owner - he/she also had a Panasonic TV tuner fitted from factory. Never seen a 350z yet with front or rear cameras though... Share a photo?
  6. Job done mate. Put your feet up and practice not saying "I told you so" when it all goes Pete Tong hahaha
  7. I got a larger premium quote than last year from AF. Had a shop around and Chris Knott offered a better deal, between the two AI got a better deal and better coverage. Every provider tries it on, mate, it's just a case of playing the game 😀
  8. My tuppence. A moonlight flit involving kids is probably the worst thing you could possibly do. In terms of stoking up acrimony (or more if it already exists) it is also not far off of "child abduction" and I doubt many people will see it as justified or proportional. If your sister in law fears for her safety in telling her husband that she's leaving him, she needs to contact the relevant social services & authorities to explain her situation to them before taking drastic action like buggering off with the kids. If they were childless, it'd be a no brainer - get out. There is the other aspect that you will invariably end up partly responsible for her "abducting" the kids & that will involve you further in what should ultimately be a private affair This is not an isolated, one in a million event - it happens all the time. https://www.citizens...n-you-separate/
  9. Some of you (MrsNiki, I'm looking at you) naturally won't be that phased about looking at another rusty old heap in the North Sea but some of you might like this video
  10. SNP not making the gains? 425 elected in 2012, 431 elected yesterday. That's a net increase of 6 despite already being the largest party in Scotland. They still have the most seats of any party and now have to most councillors on half of the countries local authorities. That's in spite of the fact Scotland elects councils using proportional representation (Single Transferrable Vote), not FPTP like in England. If our voting system was FPTP, you'd have seen every council seat go to the SNP. If replicated across Scotland on June 8th under first preference voting, the SNP would keep all thier Westminster seats. Sometimes I wonder where you couch experts get your sage-like wisdom of Scottish politics. 🤔🤔🤔🙄🙄🙄
  11. Looking amazing Olly. I know you love the wheels and they do really suit the car, but I can see a set of LMGT4's truly setting that car apart in the wow-factor department! Maybe have a winter / summer set? Just a thought!
  12. Going to be the first to tut and smdh at the use of "Memory" when we're actually talking about "Storage" lol I belong to the generation where they meant the same thing (Spectrum, Amstrad, Amiga etc), but technically, this is upgrading storage, not memory (RAM) I'll put my pedant hat away now.
  13. Was going to ask about the Mats, too. I know a guy who can get Nismo ones if you're interested.
  14. Some of the best roads in the country are just north of Skye (in the summer) I'd be tempted to keep it as a weekend only car and get a 4x4 for when the weather is mince!
  15. I was £300 to get a decent tracker installed (cobra, now Vodafone automotive) and a subsequent £200 a year to pay for the monitoring contract. To be fair, whenever I've taken the battery off to perform maintenance the phone has rang straight way for them to tell me the power to the tracker has been removed, so they are Johnny on the spot. It's not just piece of mind though, my insurance requires me to have it - if you're only interested in having one for the off chance that someone nicks your car (or gf borrows it), the android phone mod is a decent one, but there are £30 eBay options that you only need a SIM card to operate it.
  16. There's no option on the poll for "Never"
  17. Welcome to the Forum Marcin There are quite a few forum members from Aberdeen & shire, including myself. We have a list here that you're welcome to add your name to. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/109316-north-of-scotland-zeds/ We're hoping to arrange a meet sometime this month, so would be great to see some new members come along. Welcome again.
  18. I'll bet one half don't know what it is and the other half don't care! 😂😂😂
  19. It's definitely a 370 thing. I wave and toot at anyone in a 350 or 370. Tbf, the 370's occasionally shoot a look of disgust. 350's never do.
  20. They have been serviced / maintained at Devonport & Portsmouth before. The old resolution class were serviced at Rosyth before that. The cores of the subs have also undergone reprocessing at Dounreay in the recent past. Coulport has been the only load/unload and storage point for D2 warheads & before that, the Polaris missles.
  21. Every naval port in the UK can service those subs, only Coulport has the facility to load, unload and store the trident warheads. That's my point.
  22. Schoolboy error. RNAD Coulport. Faslane only services Subs & surface craft, it doesn't store nuclear armaments - that makes it no different from Portsmouth or Plymouth.
