  1. Yes, but UpRev uses those buttons to change maps. Cruise control still works fine Mine never had any extra maps put on by Jez though, hmmm.... (not that I've really needed them to be fair)
  2. Visited TGM yesterday, was pleased with Will's thoughts: pull it out, fill the cavity with waxoil, sort out inner skin and then fill/paint. Not an easy spot to repair according to him, unsurprisingly
  3. Yeah it is going the insurance route, no intention of faffing around, I would just rather a more competent body shop did it than some generic repair place. I know it can be a pain re: future cover, but hey, it's what we pay insurance for. Still local zeezeebaba yes. I hadn't thought about issues at the join if the panel was replaced, I was more concerned about inbetween the 2 skins if it was pulled out, filled and painted, hence wanting to go somewhere like TGM
  4. Moved into new house on Monday and new neighbour reversed into the 350, great way to meet them.... Hit the driver's rear arch and put a decent dent in. What are people's thoughts re: repair? It's double skinned there and I'm concerned that just pulling the dent out and painting it won't address the damage inbetween the layers of metal - i.e. Any paint/rust prevention coating. Am I justified in thinking this? I'm thinking of going to TGM as they're well spoken of here and only down the road so will see what they think, but would like to have an idea first of what issues there may be.
  5. For that money I wouldn't even go and look at it. Rust on these cars is a bitch when it sets in - you can guarantee the other 3 arches won't be far behind either. Not like on the rears you can easily swap a panel out either. I would also question why the clutch has been changed at such low mileage - lots of dumping perhaps?
  6. Yep, and lowered on Teins so much less gappy
  7. They're Rays, but they are an anthracite colour rather than the standard silver, so perhaps that was it. Or there's another filthy blue HR around here!
  8. Bit late looking at this but quite possibly, I was out that night. And yes, the car is a bit filthy at the moment, too busy trying to move house packing etc.
  9. Saw you Wednesday am near Tesco. I was behind in my Night Blue HR
  10. This is the experience of several forums' worth of Land Rover owners. There are FAR better products out there. I would never dream of putting onto a restoration! All that time and effort when (imo of course) you could have used a much better product that will last an awful lot longer. BH Hydrate is great stuff. I did a nut and bolt rebuild of my Landy 5ish years ago and went for the galv route instead, much better
  11. Drive shaft, wheel bearing, prop UJ joint(s), wheel not on tight enough, diff worn, all manner of bushes knackered and so on Best bet is to take the wheel off and see what you can find
  12. I would never use Hammerite, it comes off in sheets almost as quickly as you can paint it on!
  13. Which arm exactly? I have a set of rear toe arms in good nick with good bushes for sale if that's what's needed
  14. That link is for a grey 335i with black leather at £7,295...
  15. Some good points cheers. I'm not plannig on doing much spraying but there are a few cars of mine/my mates that might well need jacking to get a 2 poster under, hadn't thought of that. What's the one you've got?
  16. Shouldn't be an issue, just don't go into high revs. Hopefully you only put a small amount in and you can dilute it with super asap.
  17. Keyser - how do you find the lift is for access under the car? In my new garage (whenever we move...) I'm considering a lift of some sort and leaning towards a 2 poster, but your style does massively save on space; I just assumed that it got in the way of the underside a bit much.
  18. Pretty sure it's illegal to use used oil? As juggalo says, a lot of info on Landy forums. I galvanised mine instead Waxoil has gone fairly out of favour though, a lot of the Landy lot are recommending Dinitrol now, and you can get some decent applicators now including spray cans I believe.
  19. I have rear OEM ones with bushes for sale if that's what you're after
  20. I've got a nest thermostat and it's excellent. It takes a little while to learn your habits/preferences, but then does a pretty damn good personalised heating schedule, turns off when you're not in the house and you can remotely change the temp - great when you're coming back from holiday or similar.
  21. As mentioned, SGS are the ones to go for. The 350Z isn't a self opening boot though, the struts are really there to stop the thing smacking you on the head.
