  1. 245 doesnt need a 9-9.5j wheel btw. An 8j would do and the tyre fit, im running 255 on 8.5j
  2. Im on pf01 amd very happy with them, have used carbon lorraine in tje past and love them. I recommended them to Doc and Rob Once these pf01 are done ill be gping carbon lorraine, my experience is the same as Robs, theyre noisy but I also didnt care as I wanted amazing brakes for track. They need to be run with a fluid that can handle high temps though, I run superblue or typ200 as its now called.
  3. Yeah the wisefab doesnt have provision for abs sensors, I think ive solved it but if I havent will be, hopefully, removing the abs. Qeight saving on track though I agree it would be better with it
  4. Cheers Rob, was hoping for Uk advice incase there are any quirky differences, ill search US site GM....
  5. Anyone removed the abs? If so how, any ecu related issues with removing it?
  6. RichI believe Jez started out mapping on the road.... So I wouldnt be so quick to shout cuch people down
  7. Spent all weekemd so far prepping my mx5 for sale, doing a few jobs on my mates s14a drift car and servicing my 350z - tomorrow is a drift day at teesid ein the 14a. All thats been missing is a fee coronas but the mrs got me sone wine and rum in which will javd to do i suppose
  8. I assumed thats what he meant by 'if done correctly'
  9. Cheers Bennet, looking into a few options, not much out there thats any good or not hugley expensive so custom might be the only way to go. Dont really want to extend the steel arches with more steel as thats a heavy solution.... It also seems the tie rods on the Wisefab kit might be the wrong length, trying to resolve it via dridftworks but its very very slow going and so far the only answers Ive had are 'cant you cut it up till it fits' and 'the reason youve had to mod the wisefab for ABS is no one would drift a Z with stock engine and theyd also be able to remove ABS' - so not great...... Where I have had some good news is that after discussions with Rick from Race parts for sale I have purchased the following package. Nismo High compression HR type heads, machined for oversize valves and high lift cams Titanium oversized valves Nismo GT300 double valve spring system New seats, retainers etc GT300 hollow cams with 268deg duration and 12.3mm lift inlet, slightly less on exhaust And all being ported and assembled to GT300 specs by an ex Nismo engineer Should compliment my NA build plans nicely! compression boost is 10.2 to 12.0, which saves me needing high comp pistons any time soon and the heads also ditch the VTC which means I wont need a new ECU to get them on and working - the UTEC should be able to get me most of the way there whilst I save for ITB's and a new ECU. Heres some pics of the work in progress on the head porting Porting started by ben taylor, on Flickr Porting started by ben taylor, on Flickr Porting started by ben taylor, on Flickr Porting started by ben taylor, on Flickr
  10. I removed the bolt hole posts to further invrease airflow theough the plenum. This was just me though and not part of the mrev copy. If doing that the holes need welding in the upper and the lower to for the plenum to be airtight. The uppers are the same no matter what year de, only the lower half changed. The revup has shorter runners which os better for higher rpm power The mrev copy part is just removing casting marks and part numbers etc to smooth it all off amd shaving the top of two of the ports. Theres a guide aomewhere on an American forum that should be easy to find on google
  11. Another update Got a Nismo thermostat from someone on here s decided to fit it whilst waiting for help with my new wisefab front kit IMG-20160317-WA0005 by ben taylor, on Flickr old vs new IMG-20160317-WA0007 by ben taylor, on Flickr got two litres of millers antifreeze to go in IMG-20160318-WA0030 by ben taylor, on Flickr Interestingly the magnetic drain plug on the mishimoto rad had collected quite a bit of @*!# - even though the coolant that drained out was quite clearof crud IMG-20160318-WA0021 by ben taylor, on Flickr Then once help arrived we moved onto the wisefab kit - first side came out easy IMG-20160318-WA0014 by ben taylor, on Flickr bushes werent in the best shape IMG-20160318-WA0018 by ben taylor, on Flickr IMG-20160318-WA0016 by ben taylor, on Flickr Second side (drivers) the banana bush had siezed onto the stud and no amount of heat hammering/crowbaring/genral smashing the @*!# out f it would move it so we resorted to uncle grinder, a makita, which promptly died leaving us to use the halfords back up......it wasnt a very good morning lol IMG-20160318-WA0032 by ben taylor, on Flickr IMG-20160318-WA0035 by ben taylor, on Flickr IMG-20160318-WA0040 by ben taylor, on Flickr Now for the shiny new kit 20160318_173618 by ben taylor, on Flickr Sadly it seems I need wide arches - this is with my 25mm spacers removed and no disc on the hub lol!! FB_IMG_1458329073552 by ben taylor, on Flickr Decent wide arches that arent rape money seem to be in short supply however......any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
