  1. I run the z-tune nismo vent, used by a fee time attack cars in America and does the job for me, I haven't bothered making it look pretty but I'm sure it could do
  2. I'm desperate for some front wide arches, got horrible jdm bolt on things atm wisefab kit has pushed my wheels out to a ridiculous stance. So if you're looking for someone to trial the fronts give me a shout As said before I'm not keen on the rears so would want to go a different route
  3. Mate of mine has built a rocket bunny Z in Hull I like the fronts but the rears just look half asked to me Good luck with the build, will be following
  4. Itb's are planned for the future but after the new heads arrive and are fitted and mapped etc I am nearly done sorting a bigger tb kit though and a 3.5" maf amd intake
  5. Cheers bud! No plans to colour match im afraid will be painting it black when I get round to it

  7. Sorry went straight to bed after work, felt rough as ****. Glad you're sorted
  8. Been a while since the last update, mostly it was a mad scamble to get the Z ready for a trip to Le Mans. Thankfully I got it all done and managed to do 1200miles in the Z across the trip. Exhaust bedded in nicely over the trip too and developed a lovely burble, Sadly also a rattle after I beached the car on a speed bump at the Chunnel! So some pics of the work. The main issue I had with taking the Z was the horrific brake judder from Cadwell. So to solve this I thought new pads at the front, these being Carbon Lorraine RC6, for anyone tracking their car Carbon Lorraine should be the pad of choice. No deposit issues, good feedback, and stable braking from cold to ridiculously hot, you'd struggle with the disc and/or fluid long before the pad! And I also went for new discs and pads at the back, only stovk here to shift the bias to the front, its always worked for me and Ive recently reasd the Z has a lot of rear bias as stock. Unfortunately when chenging the front pads the seals on the calipers had died so went for a full caliper rebuild, diy and my first time. To say I was nervous is an understatement!! first step was to pull all the pistons out IMG-20160607-WA0006 by ben taylor, on Flickr nicked one of the pistons so had to sand it smooth, thankfully none had any damage to the sealing face. IMG-20160607-WA0014 by ben taylor, on Flickr old seals fell to pieces IMG-20160607-WA0010 by ben taylor, on Flickr new seals IMG-20160607-WA0008 by ben taylor, on Flickr worth mentioning pics are only of dust seals though I replaced liquid seals also. Then I washed and screubbed the caliper and whilst the Mrs was at work used the oven to dry them. IMG-20160607-WA0018 by ben taylor, on Flickr then put it all back together with the new pads. Rinse and repeat on the other caliper. IMG-20160607-WA0029 by ben taylor, on Flickr Didnt have time to strip and refresh the paint on the calipers, and to be honest I didnt feel the need as its not a show car by any means. Took it out for a drive once finished and thankfully no leaks but struggled with bleeding the system and had an odd noise from the back, like an intermittant squeak. Haveing refreshed all the brakes I suspected wheel bearing so ordered one and booked into a friends garage for the morning we were due to leave for Le Mans. talk about last minute! FB_IMG_1465897478132 by ben taylor, on Flickr Thankfully I was right and the rear wheel bearing was KNACKERED! whilst there also used his brembo specific vacuum bleeder system and fired all the ABS solenoids and managed a better pedal feel than when I originally got the car Then was the trip to Le Mans where I have few pics sadly. FB_IMG_1466249804885 by ben taylor, on Flickr FB_IMG_1466454464618 by ben taylor, on Flickr And the car was papped by a channel 4 video guy for a documentary on Le Mans, Fingers crossed it makes the final cut but the presenter was stood next to the car talking to camera edited_1466335700192 by ben taylor, on Flickr Once back I parked the car up and decided it was high time I cracked on with the rear wing. Not yet finished, just one coaty of epoxy left and then design the mounts. 2016-06-27_12-05-19 by ben taylor, on Flickr awaiting gurney flap to trim the trailing edge 2016-06-27_08-05-14 by ben taylor, on Flickr and said gurney ready to go IMG-20160629-WA0029 by ben taylor, on Flickr And thats about it for now, hopefully before rockingham in August Ill get the wisefab arms sorted to stop it catching under compression. 12. Called the pathfinder mod Can Google it and do it quite cheaply, planning it for mine. Superb cheap upgrade
  13. Uninformed. That actually made me laugh!
  14. Omfg. Alex I know how it all works, probably better than you, you ****. Thanks for the lesson ill try to remember to ignore you in future. Adrian ill be in touch about a new release bearing
  15. Lol im not daft, noisy release bearings nearly always quieten when the clutch is pressed, it still turns the other times just with no pressure and so bad ones rattle.
  16. Idler gear? In the box? Its an intermittent really bad rattle that goes silent when you press the clutch pedal down :/ First motion Shift buying a roller bearing type of oil impregnated brass?
  17. Nah, de 2003. In Stock in UK and ready to ship?
  18. Yeah that sort of thing, doesn't mention how it's better? Whats the price of an oem one? And whats the lead time on the koyo?
  19. Hey guys, My car came with an unknown uprated clutch and Smf (hopefully find out when it all comes off) but the release bearing is rattling like mad and needs changing. When I did the clutch slave cylinder stop tech did an uprated version. Is there similar for release bearing? Thanks
