  3. I did some years back after Japfest Donington, met the lady who lives there briefly who was ok about it haha You can't tell I've been on track, brakes took a pounding that morning eek and it shows.
  4. They probably tried to use worn down key and tried to code it knocking out your key. Does your key however start the engine after operating the door barrel? At the moment it's still an insurance matter until confirmed no damage has been done to the vehicle. Worst case if for whatever there is engine damage, damage to interior, bodywork, door locks, ignition. To fix those and a engine rebuild would costs X amount, the insurance company has the choice to either fully repair or pay out what the vehicle was worth pre incident. Normally if repairs are 50% the value of the car they'll cat it and pay you out. You then have option to buy back for salvage value I think 10% and can then of course get it repaired yourself elsewhere. Get it thoroughly checked out.
  5. I'll give it another go, think I used too much Johnson's baby shampoo in the mix as it sort of neutralised the tac of the film sadly. Local manor house to us has a lovely long drive and the one day noticed the gate was open so....... Took enough so I never have to go back 😅 The wheels, tyres, suspension, engine bay and exhaust set up coupled with the overall looks for me makes this like no other 350z. As you can probably guess I'm a wee bit besotted 😄
  6. At least it's been found, you'll most likely next see it in a compound locally after the police have done their investigation.
  7. Absolutely fantastic updates and always gives me ideas for mine that I want to tackle. Glad to hear the ol' girl isn't going anywhere also. Great achievement on the climbs also, that position is might impressive!!!!
  8. Why not claim the replacement via your insurance policy?
  9. Hang in there chap and let us know how you get on
  10. As a customer I should take the Sunny...... however it'll be the Z

  12. Yeah, aches are so phat!!! Love it. No guide other than measure, cut, wrap and screw. You can get black uPVC suffix boards which is common now so one less step. Cheers pal, not bad for a daily DE 😄
  13. Bought used and brought it back to great condition. I can only quick detailer mine as worried il ruin the burnt tips. Rest of the stainless I can reach I use mothers metal polish.
  14. Gutting pal, and insurance won't pay out straight away as there's a chance it'll still turn up. Check the spot as you might see caster marks as they may have had it away on skates and then a dolly trailer once round the corner.
  15. Attempted to the PPF the front splitter in sections and failed terribly, even made a template. Previously did my carbon bumper insert however this time she wasn't having none of it. Gave up on the idea and stuck a layer of sealant on to make myself feel better.
  16. Very sorry to hear this, as on FB thankfully not a vehicle you hardly ever hear get targeted. How did they manage to have it away, keys or trailer?
  17. Cheers pal. Soon be back on the road no doubt. Yeah made myself, might look to redo them as been on a few years now. Will go for gloss black wrap this time. https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/111683-db-nissan-350z-gt-05/?do=findComment&comment=1677658
  18. Any pictures fella? Yeah Ford, Renault and Vauxhall in its class of the days just didn't cut it.
  19. The other day popped on on my lunch break for a drive and took some pics. Had her 6 years and still love each and every drive. With a last Fotor Filter
  20. Took the Sunny over the Motoring Mecca. Every time I've gone in the Z, just been asked to follow round to the car park - that evening got pointed to a spot out front 😄
  21. All the very best with the sale, that's cheap and will sell quickly.
  22. Way I would look at it is, would I buy a 10yr car that was supercharged? Sure would if it was looked after. Sounds like a perfect once weekly to the office and weekend motor.
  23. The other morning I messaged Chris over at @Tarmac@TarmacSportz to see if they had any stock for their Mines style front splitter, goes they had two on the shelf - so made arrangements to pop up to collect that day. Wanted one for a while and finally pulled the trigger. Old splitter and carbon bumper insert off, quick clean up ready for the new item. Fitment was great however being a fussy bugger, i spent some time contouring the splitter where it bulked. Thought I'd rather do this as I didn't want to result to applying a silicon sealant, which can leave the splitter under unnecessary tension as your asking the material to pull/push into place. Unibond double sided tape for the centre and the side line up with the factory bumper lower bolts in front of the wheels. I also ran a torx self taper at the ends near the wheel wells for good measure. Absolutely chuffed with it and may look to PPF it as its in a high traffic area.
  24. Been a busy ol' couple of months for car shows/meets, with going to MidlandZ Evesham meet, Japanese Performance Show, Caffeine & Machine x2, British Motor Museum club meet and Yakushi show mixed with Z convoys for each 😃 Here's a mix of my photos and ones sent to me. Truly wonderful times linking up with fellow Z owners catching up and driving out. Coupled with warning lights on two occasions for a brake light switch fault and airbag connector, mixed with at show repairs for clutch fluid level and sun strip fitting @Phil T ☺️
