  1. For me fast cars are great, we wouldn't of bought a V6 motor with woeful mpg and high tax if we didnt like a little bit of speed, looks and noise. Chasing power is fine imo, aiming for that ten second pass in a away keeps one out of trouble and done in the right way is cheaper than regular drinking, smoking and gambling. bhp numbers should be for yourself not to impress anyone else. You wont know if it’ll make you happy until doing so, but if you have that itch with money to spare, an understanding partner, somewhere safe to keep it - id try and always say go for it. I love cars always have but never ever wanted to pile £££ into it and if i did of course it would have to be a second or 3rd car. So i wouldn’t need to worry about it getting me to work in the morning if i blew a piston on track. There’s always going to be cars with more power, there’s always going to be better drivers.
  2. No doubt instead of regular maintenace/cleaning, its been allowed to get dirty then a close range jet wash to make things worst......
  3. Cheers fella Some classic Zed parking at work After Japanese Performance Show came the season finale, the cherry on the 2016 JDM cake Japanese Auto Extravaganza. Those that have been will know, it's amazing. I've been five times with three different cars and even in my 92' 5 door Sunny had a great time! It's a four day festival with a car theme. Doesn't matter if your car is worth £700 or £70000 when you walking about the everyone is on a level. Thanks Steve Some from the show with someone that knows how to use a DSLR, unlike me.
  4. Looks fab, tested on right mucky wheels would be more impressive though.
  5. Odd not to show an engine bay? Looks a sweet motor tbf
  6. If you comparing the best road bikes, you have to pitch them against the best road cars (price aside) and the car wins both in straight line and on track. Never rode a bike, but been in and seen many tuned car stick with or beat sports bike on the street - mostly down to the biker not having the bottle or skill to push the bike hard 1st, 2nd 3rd and so on.
  7. To be fair not many folks can push a bike on the street to its full potential even in a straight line off the mark, whereas in a car it's alot easier to extract the performance. A stock GTR would smoke a 05' R1 around the ring with ease and doesn't have to look like a power ranger doing it.
  8. In my mind, just before I knock the engine off blast the cabin with cold air from the fans - frees up excess warmly from behind the dash also, every little helps. Don't use recirulate Lower Windows before completing journey Quick blast of cold air Keep windows clean Use A/C *comes in automatically Have a clean microfiber to hand

    Who will win???

Watched that video also today, the Renault sports car are awesome on track and for me kicked of the whole hot hatch ring wars. The Renaultsport Megane 265 Trophy was created to set a new front-drive road-car lap record at the Nürburgring. 265 trophy 8:08secs 370z 8:11secs
  10. I'd place BMW sales ahead of Vauxhall at a guess....
  11. Watched episode no.8 I think it is, joint worst of the season. Apart from the 2017 Honda NSX feature at the start by James, the rest is chuck in the bin.
  12. Nissan's of the era don't seem to breathe well in these conditions. Driving around with the heating on, park up lock the car and soon that warm air rises and settles in the now cold glass - ready and waiting for your return. In my 5 door sunny I have smoked wind deflectors and leave the front windows down 5mm ish which allows the warm air to rise and escape, minimising condensation massively.
  13. Spoke with young chap in the office and told me you guys had just had it on the dyno, first run was very promising. What headers is this running again? David
  14. Surly you had to press the clutch to start the car before putting the car away in the garage, not something one would forget?.... Least its sorted now
  15. Throttle body OD is 80mm, most aftermarket intake pipes are 76mm OD. MAF of is 76mm, MAF adapter is 76mm.
  16. Sporty BMW's for me are just quick versions of very dull euro fleet boxes. £ for £ to go quick, spend the money on an Evo 8/9 and be done.
