  8. Many people thus far haven't been ignoring last nights message, but it was only stated last night re the lockdown and repercussions. Fines will be issued to those that dont follow instruction, via the police. Essential food, x1 exercise occasion per day, medicine, caring and work only - ignor this at your peril is the message now being given.

  10. Still loads of non key worker jobs whereby people will be at work, mixing with other employees and spreading the virus.
  11. He's playing the right card, imagine going from wash hands to full lockdown - the public would loose their minds. He can issue full lockdown now with the backing to say for a week now the advice given for social distancing isnt being adhered too and they have no choice but to implement stage 6.

  16. From our girls school in Birmingham: Our department is split over 3 sites now with more colleagues gone home working or rotating shifts. With the school closures from Monday, mangers have been given ability to grant upto two weeks paid leave to colleagues. But possibly looking at unpaid leave from there on which hasn't been made clear. Home working for affected parents will be offered, however you can't look after children and work from home effectively.
