Looks grand and the closest I got to indoor detailing, was in a empty multi storey haha

Totally not my intention to suggest someone can't have an opinion, after all we all have different preferences. We all have knowledge and trust in things we haven't personally experienced, so your dig is hypocritical. I will however take heed from a professional tyre tester, compared to any individual on the forum within reason. To the average driver the cheapest and preferred sidewall design will be more than enough *so says the pro. Individual personal reviews (non professional) are exactly my point, to be taken with a pinch of salt. Just like hotel or restaurant reviews on trip advisor, an overall picture is to be taken as reference which the tyre reviews UK website provides.

Trolling now fella, but such is the ways these days. Him and his company subjectively are about as high up the tree in the UK for tyre reviews.

From what I gather as a road tyre Goodyear F1 SS, Michelin PS4S & Continental SC6 are the holy trinity

Very much overdue, however better late than never. What a sleeper!! these are my favourite RAYS wheels, had the replica Kei Racing wheels in the days and loved them fitted to my Almera GTi. Set up looks great, what suspension are you using? any engine bay pictures.... WV2 looks glossy as hell!!

However one is a professional on the matter and the other isnt....... Its not feasible for Dan to foam an opinion on a tyre he's never had any dealing with, its a poor thought. For one he thought the F1 A5 was a UHP tyre....... Furthmore its done pretty well in the test shown in the link. Point is you can not rate the new F1 SS by the F1 A5, however if you did..... the previous F1 was a monster in the wet repeatedly. It gets to a point whereby an opinion has to take a back seat to fact. https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Goodyear/Eagle-F1-Asymmetric-5.htm 1st: 2020 AMS 18 Inch Summer Tyre Test (225/45 R18) 1st: 2020 Auto Bild Summer Tyre Test (245/45 R18) 1st: 2020 Gute Fahrt SUV Summer Tyre Test (215/50 R18) 2nd: 2020 UHP, UUHP and Track Day Tyre Test (245/35 R19) 3rd: 2020 ADAC 18 Inch Summer Tyre Test (225/40 R18) 6th: 2020 Tyre Market Overview Braking Test (245/45 R18) 1st: 2019 Summer 53 Tyre Braking Shootout (225/45 R17) 1st: 2019 SUV 4x4 Summer Tyre Test (225/55 R17) 1st: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 VS Asymmetric 3 VS Continental PremiumContact 6 - In depth test (225/40 R18) 1st: Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 vs SuperSport vs SuperSport R (235/35 R19) 2nd: 2019 Gute Fahrt Summer 18 Inch Tyre Test (225/40 R18) 2nd: 2019 Auto Bild Summer Tyre Test (225/45 R17) 2nd: 2019 Auto Bild Sports Car Tyre Test (245/45 R18) 3rd: 2019 Auto Express SUV Tyre Test (235/50 R18) 6th: 2019 EVO Summer Tyre Test (225/40 R18)

No, it rivalled the Pilot Sport of the time. The new Supersport, R & RS are all new segments for the brand so would be unfair to compare with previous non UHP or non track tyres. What you are doing is rating a R35 GTR in relation to your experience with a Primera. Very nice to see finally Goodyear and Continental take points of Michelin.
-
The Supersport is a totally new segment for the company, the eagle F1 was never a UHP therefore it's wrong to judge a Audi R8 by the character of an A6. I will take the opinion of the expert in the video over yourself.

Ello n welkom Stick around

And yet, in the wet handling test the new F1 SuperSport was the clear winner. Much like the new Turtlewax products, they are actually very good compared to the competition. You are doing the new Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport an injustice by assuming it's character and by not listening to the professional.

Once this clears, we'll have to link up for an exhaust sound comparison

I would just add the current F1's & F1 SuperSport are two different tyres........ No, love my CSC6

One of the few 350z I really dislike parking next too, let's put it that way. Having a lovely set of RAYS just gives flexibility with options at least and yep a great find. Can second the weighted ball style shifter for the Zed over the stick ones. Stunning car

Yes 5w30 for the Motul and the XTR was the only Fuchs container I could find down the entry, used some years back for the wifes Note - but made the picture. That's great numbers, interested to see how you get on with Nanodrive.

That's what we're here to find out, the kit or at least the picture shows that of 5w30 C4 designed for diesel engines and not a petrol..... https://h-dev.co.uk/product/nissan-350z-p1-service-pack/ https://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Nissan-Litres-Diesel-Engines/dp/B00BSBHTFO

Following on from a discussion on my build thread, as most of us now have more free time I wanted to collate our experiences and preference towards oil and why. We all have our engine oil changed every 12 months or sooner, so there should be plenty of info/subjective data among us. - Generally the type of use your car gets, ie daily, weekend toy, show car, fast road, track or drift *combination. - What oil & filter do you use and why? - What oil did you use previously and if different, reason for the change?

Same for home schooling, we've had a teacher's training day

That's a very good use of time, I'd give the throttle body and pcv valve a clean out too.

Cheers for the post, never known an engine be so temperamental to oil velocity index. Lad on the forum with owns a garage near Oxford, advised the same Millers Nanodrive 5w40 is what he uses in his DE and it since doesn't use a drop. Depending on what this does to warm idle pressure, might be just the ticket. I would rather use a bit of oil and have to top up and maintain a lower pressure. Lower pressure results in better performance, lowering the resistance inside the engine. It's very much a trade off between performance and protection. For the last 6 oil changes ive swapped oil brands to feel which i liked and got on with in terms of response, consumption and engine quietness. Looking back ive tried the following: Fuchs Titan GT1 5w30 C2 Used previously in a tuned SR20 and rated it, hence it being my first choice for the service. Used a noticeable amount oil, ish 800ml until the next oil change however i had been on track a few times that year so its to be expected. Overall very happy and for the costs, big thumbs up. Shell Helix Ultra 5w30 AG Used for all of 1 month and did another oil and filter change as it was absolutely shocking!!! During the first drive to work and once warmed up, put my foot down on a slip road to join the A45 Meriden and it honestly felt like i had the handbrake on 2 clicks. The engine felt so gutless i thought the newly fitted magnetic sump plug was attracting the crank. Wouldn't recommend for any application, other than a Vauxhall Combo van. Motul 8100 eco-nergy 5w40 A5/B5 Heard very good thing about this oil so of course gave it a try, now being very aware of the affect oil blends can have on the VQ35 if you're paying attention. Felt ok, nothing special - a country mile better than Shell Helix AG however engine didnt feel as fruity or as eager compared with Fuchs Titan. Few more track sessions and the 10 litres bought initially (engine consumed 1300ml of it) was discarded into family members engines as top ups over the coming years. Used more than i would expect as i found out that one of my cam solenoids was all gunked up from sealant, plus made the mistake of starting the engine for a moment with these removed in an attempt to flush out any remains. The pressurised oil fountain was something to behold Fuchs Super Syn 5w40 Back to what i knew and went for a 5w40 grade. Engine felt great again and had minimal consumption. Warm idle oil pressure went up noticeably on the gauge compared to all other 5w30's and i do prefer a slightly lower pressure for engine response and feel it must work the pump a tad less. No track action so weren't able to really compare with that regard, however routinely im happy to check and top up as and when needed. Again another very good showing from Fuchs. Castrol Magnatec Stop-Start C3 Again used Magnatec in my old SR20 for years and years and never had an issue with it. Paying attention to the blend, visually to shake in a clear bottle (500ml left under the boot floor for top ups) the fluid has an almost elasticity/slime charater about it. All other oils I've used would come to a gradual rest slopping side to side in the container, this would come to rest abruptly as if it had memory. Very bizarre and never experienced anything like that this side of Nan's Sunday trifle. Funky magic fluid business aside, engine felt great and last year getting back out on track engine felt great. Warm idle temperatures higher than with the other 5w30's which peaked my interest. On a plus note, @cob1980 mentioned at the last midlands club meet of 2019 just how quiet the engine sounded being right up close. For the costs, very oil consumption would recommend for any daily VQ35 owner. Millers Trident 5w30 C3 This will the 6th different oil ive tried and not much to report as yet, cars not come off the drive sadly. Will be looking for warm oil pressure, engine repsonse, engine quietness and road daily driving consumption. Catch can is drained every other year due to the low annual mileage. EDIT - almost 6th months later using trident 5w30 and it's a keeper. Warm idle is exactly where is should be 12-15psi and the engine feels nice and lively when pushed. Topped up by 400ml in this time, no commuting due to lockdown mostly nice drives out/fast road. Also the oil is starting nice and clean when checking the oil level which hopefully is a good sign of being well looked after. First couple of oil changes I did it came out very dark. For the price and as well, £22.50 delivered for 5ltrs it's a very good oil for the VQ35DE.

Props to all the key workers out there. My wife being a private carer has worked the last 7 days straight, break yesterday *hence the oil change update and is back at it again.
