  1. That's cool Dean and good to see Phils old Zed in good hands by the sounds of it. Chatted with him a fair bit in his build thread and he was a sound guy. Link here in case you hadn't read it yet; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/73426-broomers-zoe-the-zed/ Hope you enjoy the Zed and have fun making it your own.
  2. Nice ~ definitely need to be body coloured though.
  3. Looks fantastic as they always do. Mhmmm Ark.
  4. Personally prefer the larger gap between the canards.
  5. You know it must be good & probably pretty expensive when they get a German narrating that sounds like a computer voice. One thing that intrigued me is in the applying instructions... How exactly do you keep away from dust for the next 72 hours? It's bl**dy everywhere unless you have some type of "cleanroom".
  6. Aye, I hate having a car that stands out for that one reason. Firstly sorry to hear this has happened to you bud ~ pi**es me off. Honestly though mate it doesn't what car you have there are some f**king scum bags around that the whole world would be better off without. Came back one day to my 1998 Ford Mondeo ST24 keyed allover the passenger side ~ hardly a car to be jealous of. Anyway don't let the scum get you down & hopefully you'll get it fixed up good as new again soon.
  7. Welcome aboard. How big are those bonnet struts though on the 106! Must have almost taken your head off opening the bonnet. Look forward to seeing what you make of a Zed.
  8. Great looking Zed Bobby. Best looking Fairlady I've seen in a fair while. Here's the rear wiper delete guide if you're interested in doing it; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71353-how-to-wiper-removal-delete/ Not for me though as I do prefer having the use of my rear wiper.
  9. Hope people see this and recast their votes though as the poll is totally t*ts up compared to when I last viewed it. NeilP and Bizz where drawing equal with 16 votes each followed by csmith, then Amy with Delboy & AMT on zero votes.
  10. Really incredible to watch. Music in the car should be this though; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjedLeVGcfE7
  11. Hhhmm see what I had heard is that C4 is designed for plastics & the headlight lenses are plastic ~ well Polycarbonate. So C4 should work. Looking at C1 I see it mentioning paintwork a lot but nothing about plastics? What about this stuff; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=121245147700&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en Any tips appreciated.
  12. That's such a shame Hooch ~ did you put those pics in another thread? sure I'm getting de ja vu. Hope you get it sorted soon and without too much damage to your wallet.
  13. This is a good idea Diab2005 as if it doesn't work for you then you've lost nothing as you needed the metal polish anyway. Also to answer your earlier question I used everything that came in the Megs kit plus afterwards I used "Turtle Wax Ice" synthetic paste polish as a UV barrier but tbh I don't think it will work as well as GTechniq C4 which is what I intend using as soon as I get round to buying it.
  14. Same here Scotty. Was having the same dilemma as Ekona so in the end a coin flip decided who got my vote.
  15. Those discs look very nice. Hope they work as good as they look.
  16. PM Lexx and I'm 99% sure he'll add it for you. Awesome Zed btw and love that colour.
  17. Whatever you decide to do, ...if you do use sand paper/wet & dry make sure that you soak the paper in water with fairy liquid or similar and keep applying water to the headlight whilst sanding.
  18. I used the Meguiars headlight restoration kit which worked wonders on my cars fogged headlights. I did try other products as I mention in this post from another thread regarding headlight restoration... If you haven't seen yet Diab2005 the new version of the Meguairs kit comes with two sanding pads which have four different grades of sand paper on them. This is what I used and it worked great on my 2003 Zeds lights. Link to the thread in case you're interested; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/78798-headlights-fogged-up-help/
  19. There isn't actually an engine brake (except for in some trucks/diesel engines) ~ it's just a term used to describe the effect caused when you're off the throttle & the vehicles rolling faster than the engines rpms. Like when you downshift from a higher gear to a lower gear at speed coming to a stop at traffic lights for example. The friction in the drive train/vacuum on the engine basically causes the engine to slow & the vehicle in turn (won't happen when you're not in gear as you're just free wheeling then). Hope I've explained it correctly as that's the way I understand it.
