  1. ^^ That hurt my head Chris. Sound's like it's all coming together which is good.
  2. Well the first time it happened on the Impreza was about two months after I first purchased it and it was the big end that went. This was due to oil starvation after the oil pump failed on my way back from Japfest one year. ...And the second time was about two years later after I had sunk literally three times or more than the car was worth into performance mods etc. This time it went in spectacular fashion smashing a snapped conrod through the side of the engine block. Turned out to be the best/worst/most unreliable/fastest car I'd ever owned to date at the time.
  3. Not disappointed at all ~ looks great and a bit jealous tbh. Searched so hard for a good GT4 about 6-7 years ago now. Just one oily rotten dog after another, ...the final straw was after I took a 100+ mile trip to see one described as excellent condition. It wasn't. In the end I decided to look for a JDM Impreza, ...this did not end well either. Long story cut short: bought one, sunk £K's into it, blew the engine twice, sold at a loss.
  4. Since everything I might have wanted is gone already I'm out. GLWTS Kyle some great bits up for grabs.
  5. I've never seen any Zed with mudflaps. Not even on the world wide web. Not for me but then everyone has the right to whatever pleases them when modding their car so if you want them maybe you could be the first. Fyi ~ This is the closest to a mudflap I have seen on any Zed.
  6. Have you finished yet Chris? I jest of course, ...much better progress then I've made. It's still all in boxes.
  7. Thanks for the reply Keyser ~ bet it's a rush driving that with such a light body (the car not you ) and an R1 engine in it.
  8. Sounds like you're doing everything right SJ but just in case here's the guide for you; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/80722-gear-knob-removal/
  9. Any videos of the Frogster on the move Keyser? Bet it sounds good with that bike engine.
  10. Copied the wrong parts. Still illegal though. Anyway doubtful you'll get any bother over it but just fyi really. Love that gear knob by the way and you've done a grand job of polishing the Zed.
  11. Bonkers. At least with the Zed being a two seater it's doubtful you'll have to give too many of them lifts anywhere.
  12. Great news ~ be good to see the new Zed when you get it.
  13. Zed look's great and the Supra's not bad either, ...suppose.
  14. Welcome aboard ~ another ex-EP3 owner here.
  15. Thought this was quite funny so why not share. Link:
  16. Happier times not far away then.
  17. Much easier if you use your hands though, ...I mean how would you hold the rag with your elbows? @nimbus ~ thanks for the reply. C4 it is then for me eventually as I'm going to do some trim around the car whilst I'm at it.
  18. This is what I have and a fair few others on here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/58175-oil-catch-can-tested-and-proven/ I went for it purely for the size of it as going FI means there isn't a lot of space to play with in the engine bay. ChrisB has gone for the Mishimoto oil catch can ~ pretty expensive but looks so darn good. More info in his build thread here; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/86592-precious-to-get-a-supercharger/ Also worth a read of this thread for info on the PCV system, post number 14; http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/82588-vortech-supecharging-technical-and-reliability-thread/
  19. Just remember only Super Unleaded fuel for that beauty.
  20. That's great news that you found the person responsible. Wasn't it some woman that works near you or something if I recall the thread it was in? Either way glad it's getting fixed.
