True, didnt want it on my insurance I did a similar course about 14 years ago after I crashed one of my cars ~ was actually really good as mine involved a lot of driving with a Police pursuit trained driver who taught us "one to one" lot's of valuable tips about spotting hazards at speed, safe driving techniques & defensive driving skills. Was some classroom based stuff as well but mainly 3 days of driving around learning cool stuff. Doubt it's like that nowadays but you never know you may enjoy it & learn some valuable skills.

Believe the conrods will be the weakest link. You'll also want it to be a low compression ratio for an FI build. Yes you can run those size tyres on those size alloys is the simple answer.

Have you tried turning it off & on again...
