I've got the same head unit. How do you find it? Have you used the mirror link unit? Your zed looks great, love that front lip colour mod!

Just curious to know if anyone here has moved from a viscous diff which I believe the Zed comes with, to a mechanical diff? The efficiency and performance of a mechanical diff is obviously better, but was wondering whether the viscous diff suits the zed better? Obviously I'm sure lots of our drift members probably have welded diffs however has anybody ever upgraded their diffs? Tried to have a hunt around but couldn't spot anything. It's not on my list of "to dos" but just interested.

Oh I love the Renault 5 turbo! As a kid seeing them tearing up the streets of Paris always made me happy!

The spreadsheet could have gone two ways... Make me not want to spend any money and just keep it as it is... Or, as I feared, (and planned) allowed me to plan my spending to get all the things I want! It's a mix of performance (standard zed performance stuff, I'm not going the FI route... I really am not!), and personalisation. The problem is I have a thing for carbon bits... And they cost lots! Ah well, I caught zeditis before I even bought the car. I think I've had moditis from birth, it's a congenital thing, and I don't want to be cured.

I've had it for a good dozen+ years and they get more expensive over time! ;D

I've already created a shopping list (on excel ) of the things I want to do for my zed... I know it won't add value to my car, I know it's just personal tweaking (apart from the few performance ones) and I know the car is already good enough but I can't help it. When I had my mx5, I put a turbo in there with full breathing mods, brake and suspension upgrades (236bhp with a weight over just over 1,000Kg made it for a fun drive! ). My list now has nearly 20 items... What is it about this forum, this car, or cars I own in general that makes me want to spend money like it's going out of fashion?!

Even the £280 is a bit of a slap when it comes, fortunately it only comes about once a year!

I used to skydive, but did a few BASE jumps, where we had to climb some pretty epic climbs in the states. I do a lot of Olympic lifting, and love the flexibility and strength climbers have, I sometimes join my friends who do climbing, whilst I haven't got their technique or flexibility, I hold my own fairly well. It's an expensive hobby around London though.

I guess the fear of buying from the US for some is if it doesn't fit or is the wrong one, I guess having a UK forum based trader helps boost the confidence of the sale a little?

Thanks Dave will do. It's not a big deal, it's just a bit of a rubbish key fob. Yeah I noticed the USA keys are a lot more extravagant.

Wasn't sure if this belonged in electronics or general... so Mods feel free to move. Is it possible to upgrade the really rather rubbish key fob (which is the same as a Quashqai!) to a flip-type or at least a nicer looking key? Or is it a case of just ignore it and deal with it!

Not going to be doing spacers Everything else I agree with though!

I like the mechanical feel of the clutch and everything but it's not really a city car, it's not really made to be an "easy" car to drive. It's definitely looking for those sweeping, and bending roads and to be driven as a GT.
