I'm not an atheist, I'm quite happily Christian. I also believe that science doesn't mitigate belief/religion, I think it enhances it and they can coexist and well together. Atheism is just a belief structure like any other in my eyes. Also, I feel that evangelistic atheists, Christians, Muslims, Jews etc... are a nightmare, and find them hard to tolerate. I have some atheist friends with whom I have had some of the best times in my life - it does not get in the way of friendships. We have a mutual respect of one another's beliefs, and ultimately neither belief is wrong, or is superior or is proven either way, so we're all happy. Generally most of my friends are agnostic (which I think is a very fair way to be) or consider themselves spiritual. The rest are a mixture of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists and Hindu. A few others are made up of other beliefs like Paganism etc... I think there is nothing wrong with having your own belief structure, but as I said, what I don't like are the militant evangelists of those beliefs, and the arrogance of those that think they are absolutely right and think they can prove or disprove everything - which quite frankly is more ridiculous than a flying unicorn. Ultimately, as long as people have respect for one another's beliefs then there's no problem. I find it hilarious how some people try and belittle others for what they believe, but that just shows a more neanderthal evolutionary cycle that Darwinian science hasn't had the chance to apply.

We were quite ruthless with ours. We invited only the people we wanted. We made our choices for what we wanted, and if it wasn't to people's tastes then too bad, it isn't their day. We just detached ourselves from all external influences and just did it for us (ultimately that is what it's all about!) and made our choices and spent our money. If people are falling out with you because of the decisions you're making then stuff 'em. It's not worth it. The key is to delegate tasks to people you trust, if people don't RSVP or do what they are supposed to do then just move on. We whittled down our guest list from nearly 200 to just over 100. Best decision we made (saved us a lot too!) sure it put some people's noses out of joint, but too bad. One of the rules we had was "no kids". People responded generally positively, as we wanted the adults to enjoy the day rather than have to worry about kids, some people threw their toys out of their prams. We moved on, and got on with it. Life is too short - if people / things are causing you negative energy/stress, move on. No point in keeping that poisonous environment. Good luck with it mate! Whilst it was stressful it was still worth it in the end, best day of my life As others have said, take 5mins out of the day to spend with your wife - just go for a walk, sneak out, and share a moment. The day goes so quick. Absorb it all. Most importantly HAVE A GREAT WEDDING!!!!

Hi guys Do any of you know of any decent detailers in London or the SE? obviously I'm not expecting prices like Ricey can offer but if there any decent priced places that offer decent cleaning / detailing would be good. Cheers
-
Welcome Nice to see more Londoners!

Rang my local scrappy that is offering £30 for each cat which seems like a great price. Just wondering whether any of these "we be your catalytic converters" sites are any good and if you have any recommendations? Cheers chaps Will

All installed, and sounding sublime! I know that it'll bed in a little over time, but although it is fairly standard at idle, on load it sounds great! The remap really does make a noticeable difference. It's not "OMG" faster or anything like that, it's just significantly more responsive. And for a 10 year old (nearly) car, the fact that she's still hitting near on 290 is brilliant. Jez and Craig are great lads, and thank you for setting me up in the conference room and letting me get on with some work - though I did pop out from time to time to see what's going on! Thank you for your work and making me grin all the way home! Still so many upgrades to do.... One thing at a time I guess!

Some of us drive without front number plates (I do at the moment but I didn't on previous cars). It's down to the police and how proactive they are being and how much discretion they throw at you. At least having it mounted on the front allows it to be seen which is better than not having one at all . Cool vid!

Probably really embarrassed and wanted to get away from it.

Ditto, I'm one of these "any more laid back horizontal" sort of people, but nonetheless, the testosterone would fuel somewhat of a rage for that sort of behaviour.

Depending on the price of the LED lights I may be in too. Though the lightweight flywheel does sound tempting too... I must stop spending money! -
Look forward to seeing you again soon Sly. Great news to hear you're expanding

I'm not really doing it for the numbers, I'm doing it for the exploitation of the mods, and just to add a little more driveability to the car. The numbers are always interesting, but ultimately, having done all the N/A mods possible (bar the clutch and flywheel) for performance without boring, or any other big engine works it seems daft to have done all the breather mods without getting an uprev. The milltek and decats will just be a nice bit of noise too

Don't worry I have yet to be spotted!

I live in Greenwich and often see Zeds but I'm not often in mine when I see them!
-
Any of you driving towards the o2 in Greenwich? Was on my daily commute.

I remember your thread GT4 - but also I've always upgraded LSDs on my cars and I completely agree with you WRT to changing the way it drives it is night and day. -

How much would an oil cooler install be? I'm still up for group buy. I just won't do a track day until I'm satisfied that it will run okay. Besides it's coming up to winter so no track days for a while anyway! -

Yeah a 1.5 way will generally be a little of "best of both worlds" situation. 2 way is a little aggressive for day to day road use IMO but a 1.5 offers all the benefits of a 2way under acceleration and some of them on deceleration. Both are great for putting the power down in cornering and both are good for getting some power slides going. Far more predictable too. -
There was a photo of him posted somewhere (cannot remember where think on the GTR forum) He looked a right pumped up steroid gorilla..!!! :scare: I used to play county standard rugby, you get some right lumps there - you know what they say... the bigger they are... the harder they hit!
-
Sure. Only if you promise to nurse my black eye, and help pick up my teeth.

When I change my clutch (which I am due to do probably next year) I'm keen to replace the flywheel with a lightweight flywheel. Is there any advantage on a clutch upgrade too or is the OEM clutch more than good enough? I'm not going down the FI route - as much as I'd like to I'm quite happy with the car as it is. I've nearly always upgraded the clutch as and when they needed changing because well, it's a new shiny thing but also I generally prefer a slightly more aggressive clutch. If there is literally no point unless I'm going FI route then that's fine. I'll probably get a master cylinder upgrade too whilst I'm at it. FYI - car will have all standard mods, plenum, decats, exhaust and remap, plus I'm going to install a 1.5way LSD too. Be keen on your thoughts.

Any chance of a 1.5 way as part of the deal? -
Pure gristle anyway. I've come across bullies of that size and they're all show no go. Why bring up his size and an aggressive "go and talk to him if you have a problem" comment to try and intimidate people is beyond pathetic. I'm being unfair though, he may well be a gentle giant and his friend is making him out to be some sort of beast. Eitherway, if you have a word with him and he does nothing about his driving, the marshal is the next step. If he hits you, it's assault - so it's all win win, apart from a black eye but who hasn't had one?
