  1. good effort, not sure whether it should finish so close to the lights
  2. the main thing to watch for is there is a bleed nipple on each side of the caliper, unlike the single one used on most ordinary brakes
  3. just change your name to JE54 BBS
  4. The main problem I had was undoing the nut off from the joint at the hub carrier and I ended up cutting it off, being v careful not to damage the threads on the stud. I didnt try any heat on first though and that would have helped.
  5. Reports tonight of this road regularly being used for racing after dark
  6. How cool is this? http://www.classicandperformancecar.com/honda/4830/honda-brings-f1-and-moto-gp-crashing-together-with-project-2-4

    RIP 911

On a different note, I dont understand why they got rid of reflector strip at the rear of 911s post 993. The separate tail lights just look terrible. It was a real signature of the 911 and it it just went and I cant remember any journos even mentioning it. I know the 991 c4 has a vestigal light strip, but its not the same. Anyone feel the same?
  8. your post count doesnt seem to be going up! Car looks nice though
  9. Great news, well done that man!
  10. Dual mass flywheel on the the way out? plenty of videos on yt
  11. Looks fine, I like the slopey sides, the only thing I'd say is that when there arent the normal number of characters in the reg, the plate looks better when its the normal length and not shortened.
  12. Nice video, car sounds really good
  13. Welcome along - i used to live in sheffield, great place! Hope your engines ok as running it in 95 ron can damage it
  14. From the way you're talking I would definitely get someone to do them for you. I did mine and it was not straight forward - and I got a local place to press the old bushes out and the new bushes in (cost a tenner) . Just saying
  15. Fantastic pics There's just something magical about Spitfire design I believe they did it to halt the rise of mindless right wing lunatics, hell bent on domination and oppression of other people, for no reason other than them being of a different country, race or religion. Well yes and thank god they did. But I'm sure the individual at the time fought for Britain and what it meant to be British. If they'd have known how it'd turn out 75 years down the line I doubt they'd have been as solid in their convictions. They were a bit a mongrel bunch themselves - Poles, Australians, South Africans, Kiwis, Canadians, Czechs, French, Belgian, Irish etc
  16. It probably just need replacement compression arm bushes - its really common and it wont cost 800 quid (think they are about £35 each?). Better to find a recommended specialist - someone will recommend one
  17. Welcome along. Good luck with your hunt!
  18. Nice to have the option of not working on the drive - looks like a horrible job
  19. I know that they can be very difficult to remove and you could damage it trying - if its held in by corrosion or corroded bolts i would leave it alone. I've just done the front wheel bearings on my vw sharan and theres no way the sensors wouldve come out. I pressed out the hub using a bottle jack, no hammering involved until i put it back in.
  20. Happy hunting, plenty of advice in the tech forum about things to look for when buying.
  21. I've hired tile saws couple of times before - they have a diamond tipped disc that runs in a water bath and do the job very well. you dont need to hire for very long if you leave all the cut tile til the end.
  22. I bet he's bought all his xmas presents too!
