  1. You got to love the yanks for their motorsport, it may not follow our norm (f1 etc) but stuff like this, nascar, salt flats, pikes peak etc, its just got to be admired for sheer imagination. You can just see the health and safety executive faced with this......
  2. Seems like you have considered quite a few options and talked yourself out of all of them, lol but I appreciate where your coming from as nothing leaps out at me either, except the gtr but also agree reference the price. Again not for me but: RS4/6 SL55 Amg M5/6
  3. Jdm (fairlady) and uk cars use the same clutch, the hr engines use a different clutch.
  4. You can get them made in reflective nowadays, its more a VAG thing though, so a no imho
  5. I am not sure grieve would be the right word if i had just got 10.5k for a 06 zed, meant as nicely as possibly
  6. No sorry, sure someone will along sooñ if they have, any particular reason your set on that rather than an extreme?
  7. If you speak to Buster nicely he may fit you in. although he is in Ferndown.
  8. I am not sure I agree entirely, I was quite happy tracking the 350 as many members do, for what it is, I.e a nice comfy road car, it is very capable on track, but thats pretty much all I was using it for, so there were cars much better suited to the task. I guess it comes back down to which boxes are the priority for being ticked, but if those boxes need ticking in equal measures, a charged 350 ticks them all and for 370z money or less i would much prefer the former or 135i.
  9. I thought my fi'd 350 was brilliant, i had zero intention of selling, but i was using the car more on track than road and realised i would better off in something more suited to track use. I would have another for sure
  10. Define outperform? Is it faster in a straight line, probably yes, apart from the 135i, will it go round corners any quicker, probably not.
  11. Performance gains will be minimal at best on either so the choice is just down to personal preference.
  12. I agree with Rocket, i was bothered about loosing 20hp on a 500bhp Rx7 due to getting rid of a screamer pipe and plumbing it back into the exhaust, you do (or can) get caught up in the "pub talk" figures, when i look back i reslise how stupid it was, its no dissimilar on here when it comes to remaps and the "extra" power, in reality it makes little to no difference but everyone wants to talk dyno figures but side by side there would be nothing in it,
  13. Looks like he forgot to spray the spoiler, or at least the base, so you could take care of that whilst you do the wing Some good advise above though, if your interested in handling some uprated arb's make a huge difference, personally i wouldnt use ebc's, either ds2500 or carbon lorraines if you do a lot of track days. A Jack Royal trimmed steering wheel is a nice touch for the interior.
  14. http://www.autocar.co.uk/Subaru-Isle-of-Man-video-TT-record-2016 It is always available to try
  15. So why has NO car gone round the iom tt quicker than a bike, its straights and corners? Jetpilot don't explain yourself to Davey_83 I am not explaining buddy, just asking the question, noticed I havent got an answer....yet
  16. Absolutely, there isnt a chance in a hell i would sling a leg over a bike these days (road bike), even though i had a very nasty crash (my fault) i still consider myself lucky to have got out when i did
  17. If your struggling try http://www.jdmdistro.com/ or http://japwestmods.co.uk/ for some decent wheels, if you cant find anything that fits without spacers on either of those two sites i would be surprised
  18. So why has NO car gone round the iom tt quicker than a bike, its straights and corners?
  19. A chap meets a girl in a bar and starts chatting, he asks her name, she replies Carmen, he replies what i lovely name, she says thank you and its rather apt too as its my two favourite things in life, cars and men, she asks his name, Beerpussy..... Moral of the story, men dont get involved with names....
  20. As has been "discussed" before on here, if people think bikes arent fast, just watch some iom tt, corners a plenty and cars cant even come close to the bike times, never have and never will and thats standard out the shop superbikes on standard off the shelf road tyres.
  21. A real soft spot for the 5 & 6, very nice
  22. I prefer a hoist or simply airlifted in and out
