  1. Well it arrived a bit late but picked it up from the docks today and drove it straight to the mot station. I am very pleased, the interior is immaculate and it drives really well, very quiet, smooth and comfy. So as soon as its registered and cleaned up will get some photos up and a few changes that i will make, may even put my te37's on if they fit, seeing as no one wanted to buy em
  2. I dont think you can go to far wrong with the generic chinese units, they have every function you would need, cd, bluetooth, dvd, cd, sat nav, usb, ipod etc etc even android, I have had a few in various cars and always been pleased.
  3. Oh I like a wife beater vest in summer

I think it all depends on the tech and power it comes with. People pay £80k+ for a Nissan's And people are now paying £150k for a Honda (Yes it is a different league of car and technology, but its still a Honda!) +1, I am not really fussed by a badge, I would have bought a gtr when they came out at 52k (if I had it), admittedly I would struggle to justify its current price but thats only because I know I could buy a 2nd hand one for a lot less thats not much different. If that new Supra turned up looking like an ft1 with an exciting drivetrain, I wouldnt be down the german dealers with my 90k.

There havent been many cars to come out of Japan that were ahead of their time, difficult to think the mk4 was released in 93, pretty stunning, Rx7 was another.

Why does any car cost more Drivetrain, 2.0 ltr turbo or v8 etc etc materials, carbon, leather or usual jdm plastics, body shape is largely irrelevant and its already been developed, moulds will have been made and used. Guessing you havent driven many modern high performance cars, they have zero issues of parking, speed bumps, too big for the road etc and all are pedestrian safe. The gtr manages to take on the german marques without issue, why not Toyota, particularly if it looked like the Ft1, thats the target market. Anyway, I couldnt afford one but wouldnt be spending my 60 or 70k if i had it looking like your link

Enlighten me, why is it going to cost more to make it look like the Ft1? I seem to remember the Supra costing £45-£50k in 93, that was a lot of money and pitching alongside cars of a much higher pedigree.

Still ugly and from Toyotas point of view, why bother with the Ft1, when they can obviously do much much better and the gtr has always been ugly, concept or production

Some still look just as good, even if slightly different, thats just flat out dissapointing.

Agree with Lexx, why go to the bother of putting together/building the Ft1, which was stunning and end up with that, real shame, mind you, still a million times better than those recent new z renderings.

You mean like the raging success the gt86 was? The generally motoring market couldnt care less about manual/na/rwd Agreed, they couldn't, however the OP has posted on a forum to people who do Well i am not so sure, there are plenty of folk on here who drive autos, forced induction and would love to upgrade to a gtr and i cant see anyone chucking a 458 out their garage for being flappy paddles.

  14. Designed and built in Britain, good enough for me
  15. Cant we have at least one home grown car
  16. Get yourself some connectors from Keyser and call out an auto electrician
  17. I didnt say i dont have faith in your abilities , i said it will look like a sewn up dogs ear i dont think it matters how good you are, it will always look like a cover not a professionally trimmed wheel. Fill your boots though, its your car, but in answer to your original question then, the recommendations are to get a Royal wheel (also believe mondo hide and seat a trader on here do them)
  18. It will look like a sewn up dogs ear a decent wheel can transform the interior, its a £5k+ car, not an indian taxi. My Vx220 350z
  19. Personally the 86 is the car the rb kit suits the best and i think that looks pretty awesome.....as a race car, but if you did decide to venture out on the roads in something like that, its needs silly hp as imho you would look a total end of bell being burned off by a diesel burning rep mobile.
  20. I have a wheel if anyone wants want to buy it so you can keep driving , i can even send it straight to Jack.
  21. Sure someone will be along soon to blame Brexit ; )
