  1. Why should people not have a view? If you dont attend a football match does that mean you cannot comment on the game? I have heard this a few times, andwhy can someone not have a view just because they didnt vote? Plenty of people give a view on my cars I buy but none of them have actually owned one? I just find this idea that you 'gotta be in it to have a view' just a bit odd. Of course you can have a view, but if you choose not to vote, its redundant and immaterial, certainly in my opinion. A better analogy would be, you decide what your next cars budget is, but let the fourm decide what to buy for you. No one would then be interested in what you thought as you relinquished your freedom to choose. If you believe the media they are I will echo your thoughts elsewhere, If a mature intelligent individual cant side to one particular parties policies on the whole, i believe that to be just plain obstinant and martyrism. There is a party out there that will suit everyone, mostly, try one of the online tests and go with whomever they place your vote with after some honest answers to key questions.
  2. All of them, no one would make a bumper that needs specific exhausts to fit or they would just limit their market. I have a Chargespeed and running a HKS.
  3. On that basis Haydn you could also roll out why does anyone have a say in how the country is run if they dont pay into the system?
  4. I agree, but hasnt done the Libs any favours with a lot of their voters. I would plumb for ConKip, you could be sure of a referendum on the Eu (not discussing the merits) and probably some far more stringent immigration controls, which is the 2 reasons why ukip are getting votes. But i suppose the Cons have to get the most votes for that to happen, looks very tight this time, just like the Scottish vote for independence.
  5. So every time you map a car you have to pay this?
  6. A business person running the country would probably be a good thing when it comes to balancing the books so to speak, but on the flip side, they would be ruthless, which wouldnt suit many, even most. If you believe the media Ukip are racists, the only conclusion to draw from that is, there are a lot of closet racists in this country with their recent popularity, or to the average man, immigration and eu membership are a priority concern which none of the main parties seem to want to address. One thing with any of the parties and whomever gets in, they should some how be accountable for delivering on their manifesto.
  7. I didnt ask why mapping was expensive, as i have never found it to be, i asked why Uprev is so expensive? Sorry my post wasnt clear.
  8. It also goes over my head, i had an Apexi ecu in my Rx7, all i needed to pay was the mapper and time spent on the dyno when i made any changes, even the first map after going to single turbo only cost circa £275, i have never understood why it costs so much when tuners have the software.
  9. Seen that before and think its awesome, the guy presents it so well
  10. Was supposed to go up with some mates to this, they were there as a group, one has a black 458 and the other a blue 911 turbo s, did you notice them? How did the weather turn out, a few dry sessions? Just watched the video, lol, it wasnt the 458 in front, obviously 2 there
  11. Probably in the region of 2kgs a wheel which is a vast difference when it comes to unsprung weight Loving the project though, any overall weight of the car now?
  12. Sell the parts, way easier than trying to find a buyer as is or finished imho. How many people would want to spend the money you need to return on a 2jz converted 350z, there will be a much bigger market for individual parts and will probably net you a better return. Hate to say it as would love to see the project finished.
  13. I just had light fly and clutch change and it threw a crank position sensor code, barely starting. The zed shed saved the day and lent me another sensor, it was better than my sensor, starting was still tricky though, but threw no code, bought a new one and its as good as gold now. The garages assumption was the used sensors were maybe a bit tired on the windings to varying degrees. Maybe worth a shot but cant guarantee it will help.
  14. Op has got the kit and wheels
  15. Is that a fixed back or recliner? Not a bad weight if they are recliners. I had some kevlar Recaros in my Rx7 and they were 3.2kg, the more you want to spend the lighter they will get https://www.recaro-automotive.com/en/product-areas/aftermarket-seats/products/recaro-pole-position-abe-pole-position-carbon-abe.html
  16. More power isnt always faster as you say, but, driver ability comes into that video (and others) so much, i have been on track and gone past all sorts of way more powerful vehicles. Ekona speaks the truth, driver ability is the crucial factor, not what your sat in
  17. Two opposite ends of the spectrum there, a car for show or a car for go. Obviously you can have both, but is it really worth putting large sums of money into performance if its not really going to be used in anger, I.e the track or driving holidays and then its never going to be a show car as its not going to be in immaculate condition and stanced.
  18. I hope not. From someone who has never done a track day, and still wondering if I should or not, this video has put me right off! I did at a day at Combe 3 years ago, booked with 5 mates, the day was quiet and when we pulled In to join the groups we asked if we could go in the same group, the marshall said just start a new group. No one else arrived so we had our own group all day, just us 5 and Combe to ourselves, it was awesome. Dont be put off by the above video and If you did see that kind of behaviour at a track day, pull In and go speak to the marshalls or organisers, they wouldnt want their track days filled with that kind of driving.
  19. I get the feeling from seeing this and some japfest footage, these one session wonders attracts all and sundry to hack round a circuit and give their cars a thrash for no real outlay cost wise. Just seems like a bit of a free for all to me. I remember last year people mentioning the guy in the blue failside Rx7 not having a clue with video footage to prove. Ironically being a member over there, not one person said anything about his etiquette and he thought it was perfectly acceptable to block peoples lines as they were faster into and through the corners and then blast off in a straight line because he has 500hp or more, even made mention the Civics couldnt get past and youtube footage to boost it I feel sure had this been a track day, he would have either been black flagged or spoken to by some of the other drivers. Dedicated track days seem far better marshalled and the participants on the whole seem a lot more respectful. The last time i went to CC they made particular mention that they didnt appreciate drifting or people trying to drift during the safety brief, although i appreciate there was a drift demo in the video above.
  20. Very surprised the Escort wasnt black flagged, they generally dont like that kind of driving, maybe as it was one session they didnt have time.
  21. That looked utter chaos the first couple of laps, good to see you didnt get caught up in it and let them get on with it
  22. Thanks to the guys for sorting me out quickly late on in a day Parts arrived on a Saturday as promised
  23. So no plus sides of running a decent set of of lightweight 19's or 18's on 275's and 245's no advantage to having more traction both in acceleration and braking then
  24. Plenty of people running 275 & 245 combo with no issues. In reality what Ekona says is true (read cant be bothered to discuss) and you would only likely be able to tell the fractional differences mentioned if you track the car seriously The only point worth note imho is ride quality because of the lower profile, will just feel a little firmer but again, marginal and you may prefer it like that
