  1. Whilst i would absolutely love one, it wouldnt be for the way they look, nothing wrong with it per say, but imho it could have been so much better
  2. I tried to watch that Classic Car Show again last night, i quite like Jodie & Quentin, afraid i havent got anything good to say about the other guy. The interaction is just so laboured though, its all so uncomfortable and i find myself cringing and turning off, which is a shame as it seems they have some good features Maybe SP is a good choice (2nd fav behind Dermot Oleary), she does seem very popular (amongst women), imho they need to know what format the show is going to take (car based/reviews, entertainment with a car theme etc) and on that basis who their target audience is before any presenter is even considered. Unless of course they are going to build the whole show around a main presenter and if that was SP, not sure i would even be tuning in.
  3. I personally think the 350 looks better with a clean ass There are some nice spoilers out there but not many that enhance the look imho. Would like to see a really nice duckbill spoiler though
  4. Curious as to why we have a "spotted on ebay" section and then a thread in that section with ebay finds, isnt that the whole point of the specific forum page?
  5. Apparently under Gatwick airport, well not just Gatwick Knew we should have let the Scots go
  6. There was a guy called Jack Smith Trimmers who got some great reviews when it came to Mx5's, would presume they do 350's.
  7. Space wasnt a requirement, just him and his wife, no kids, but your right, i think it was just outright performance.
  8. A buddy of mine was bitten by the supercar bug last year, he started with a Ferrari California and decided to change this year, I guess his budget was 150k give or take. His business partner has a 458 Spider and he was looking at those, I was very surprised he ended with, yep you guessed it, a 911 Turbo S cab. I am with you, with anything near that budget I would in no way plumb for a 911. Back to topic though, if new was the criteria, i think the Maclaren is a great alternative to the mainstream manufacturers.
  9. Remember reading a lot of very positive reviews when this came out. Great to see some small fast cars, everything else seems to have gotten so big.
  10. There are too many variables to get a comparison buddy. Postcode, job, garaged, alarmed, do you have a tree in your garden, do you like cats or dogs, blah blah, its all a load of tosh if you ask me. I am 44, car garaged & alarmed, no points or accidents, 12 years no claims, safest postcode etc and i see people paying half what i do, go figure!
  11. +1 There was a thread i was reading the other day about 370z lights and in one shot it looked like the indicator bit (sticky out triangle bit to the side) had been blanked (like an eyebrow thing), looked so so much better
  12. As you say, long gone are the days of the Countach, so pretty much every supercar is now usable everyday if you desire, with a few exceptions. Doesnt mean i would want to though, i want something with a sense of drama, a sense of occasion, something i want to turn back and look at when parked, something that will get the hairs on the back of my neck standing on end and there is no right or wrong about it, however good the 911 is, it just doesnt do it for me and the same goes for the R8. 458, pretty much anything Lamborghini, Aston Martin is a different story I would love a Gallardo, i know there not the best, i know there not the quickest, but it is one car i would have in a heartbeat
  13. I'm talking about the bottom end of the Zed market, those ARE cheap, if you have to work long and hard to afford a 2003/2004 Zed on high mileage then you are in for a shock when it comes to buying tyres or modding surely The days of 90% of owners on here having to pay £10k + for a weekend car are long gone, just being realistic that's all. Nothing offensive about something that is cheap, for the performance and looks of a Zed they are ALL cheap in my opinion, performance and handling of a much more expensive car... A lot of people will factor in purchase price + expected mods in their budget. I could have afforded a lot newer 350 if i hadnt wanted to put my touch too it. I dont see a huge enough difference to justify the newer model so would prefer to put that extra towards making mine better (in my eyes), i am not only talking looks, but handling/performance, again to suit my expectations. Ah yes, another mention of the good old days of the forum and 350 ownership, when the forum was great and it was all trees round here when i was a lad If you think 350's are cheap, slow and plenty of other pops at them, thats absolutely fine, we are all entitled to an opinion, but to hang around and feel the need to share this on a owners forum is just plain odd
  14. My sentiments exactly but as Ekona says some people do I hate the "but i can use it everyday" point, i wouldnt want a supercar i can use everyday, i want something i lust after going for a drive in, not something i can sit in the morning rush hour in or take the kids to school in because its "practical". Practical and supercar should not be used in the same sentence imho. Porsche obviously know what they are doing and its always been known as the supercar you can drive everyday and have plenty of success from it so who i am to argue, i cant afford either but if i could i know where my money would go if i had to buy new. If 2nd hand was on the menu too, i would be viewing the same 458's as Ekona.
  15. Is there something i dont know about Maclaren after sales/support? Not every one wants a Porsche, Merc etc, sales numbers on the 12c were good so doubt this will be any different
  16. Saw in the papers (so taken with a pinch of salt), quite a few Labour councils employ 1000's of people on zero hour contracts
  17. All depends on your prospective I would imagine some people have worked long and hard and saved for one, quite offensive you should choose to call their car cheap.
  18. Nothing more to be said imho Yep, older 350's are cheap cars so why spend £100s on a real CF bonnet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Nothing more to be said imho
  20. Hopefully this may help, if the car was with me would pop it on, but looks like the below http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/store/product.php?productid=17421
  21. In good condition, no rips or tears, one hole which i would poke the aerial through. Comes with bag and under car ties. Sorry i dont have a pic on the car. £75 inc postage
  22. 370z is a good shout then and if a refined drive is what your after i certainly wouldnt get anything older than what you have. Or dare i say it as some others have, something German?
  23. Just been price matching between the 2 and oponeo was cheaper on most but got a bargain with tyre leader, £82 for 235/40 Federal 595RSR
