  1. All very true, but the average man/woman probably isnt even aware of tax evasion (loosely speaking) and sees immigration as a big issue. Also very true that migrants come here to fill the jobs the lazy Brits dont want, absolutely fair enough good on them, but, what about the ones who have no intention of working and instantly receive benefits? There should be a massive shake up in the benefits system, not only for migrants but for the lazy UK apparent "job seekers", if there are jobs for migrants why cant they be filled by the uk unemployed, or should i say, why cant they be made to do these jobs? I have no issue with migrants, but do think, perhaps as outlined by the tories, no immediate benefits, if they havent got a job in 6 months they have to go and no claiming until they have paid into the system for a period of time.
  2. I hate to be critical, i really do, i love to see people making stuff, but, given this was designed from scratch i do feel it could have been less fussy and would have been so easy to mount the diagonals clear of the harness "window" so to speak and the main bar also level with the same (just to avoid any angular confusion). I think like the other designs, supports just bolted to the boot floor would be easier so as to not have to cut trim, just carpet, but appreciate this also gives a bit or bracing.I am guessing with the basic jig made it can be tweaked to suit requirements?
  3. They wont get in, but think upset the apple cart, in the polls they are quite a distance ahead of the Lib Dems, cosying up to the Tories did them zero favours with their electorate imho. If we get a hung parliament again i see Ukip as the party to form a coalition with. Expect to see a lot of changes, If Labour dont get in, EM will be gone, same with DC & Tories, Nick Clegg will go whatever
  4. Well just did that little quiz, answered honestly and it probably didnt tell me anything i didnt know. Ukip, Tory, Labour right at the bottom I wonder how many people would be surprised by the outcome if they did it?
  5. Truly sad on all fronts, for the family of the deceased and what the driver must feel like, even though it wasnt his fault. The Msa have been looking into spectator safety recently and this by all accounts has serious implications with all such cars being suspended from racing. Can you ever rule out freak accidents, personally i dont think you can
  6. Looks good. Do think it needs a little work though if you want it to be properly functional and follow regs with regard to harness mounting angles etc. I know your not racing but I would want it to follow those regs as close as possible for safety. Difficult to judge from the pics but it does look like the bar sits a bit high above your shoulders, so the harness wouldnt be horizontal. http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=35754
  7. I would hope the e92 is better than a 350, it cost twice as much
  8. Always watch them, maybe its the modern times but not so keen on the new style mean and moody Bond with a vengence, although DC is very good at it.
  9. In principal I agree, but pointless forcing someone to vote to only put a line through It, you still wouldnt get a balanced opinion on that basis. If your like smd who really doesnt want to vote, forcing them to make a vote isnt balanced either. Although i dont believe for anyone minute that if push came to shove and was forced to make a vote an educated man couldnt make a rational choice. I dont feel one party fully gets my vote, but, would prefer one over the other options. Most people dont vote rationally anyway, they vote on the party their parents voted for or just because they have been bought up to dislike the opposition. Its only when you get older your opinion perhaps changes. My vote wont be going its normal direction this year, first time in years.
  10. Worse than the last labour government who put this country into the worst recession we have probably ever seen dave has go us out of recession, ahead of most other eu countries, I think they have cleared up the mess quite well
  11. Wasnt it the union vote that put him as leader over his brother, explains a lot with his union backing!
  12. I really like the ones linked, apart from the drl sadly
  13. Or, "i will tell you"....but then its to a completely different question to whats been asked You are right about the manifestos though, personally i feel if the elected government doesnt achieve what they outline in their manifesto they shouldnt be allowed to run for government next time or if they are allowed to run and do get back in, they should have a shortened term in government (i.e 2 years) to deliver on their previous promises. However fanciful that might be
  14. Ha ha, how funny, in the brief clips i did see, Paxman questioned EM about his apparent lack of strength (obviously not physical) and that was exactly how he put it, if you were locked in a room with Putin and the door was opened 5 mins later, Putin would be smiling and you would be on the floor
  15. Tbf Dave put forward some good thoughts, whether they do it or not is a different thing entirely: No instantly being eligible for benefits for migrants, only able to claim if they have paid in for 4 years. If they dont have a job in 6 months there out. Eu reform and a yes no vote in 2017.
  16. In the small bits I watched I felt the same, DC seemed very calm whilst EM seemed to get a bit chewy. Hung parliament again though I reckon.
  17. As said somewhere else, could there not be a watershed thing if it went to Sky? Would they then become less liable so to speak?
  18. What the hell i have been missing, box sets here i come
  19. If i am wrong about ratings, i will most definitely will
  20. A few people on here and 5 million other viewers in Britain apparently want a love in, or they just enjoy the show and the presenters Of course its not untrue the whole car race thing etc has been done, BUT, as said, it matters not a single jot if its been done a million times, if your viewer numbers, revenue stream and all the other associated spin offs are as good as they were because of that format, why on earth would it need changing, refreshing or evolving as you have said here and in previous posts before we knew the outcome. Their hand has now been forced though so we shall see if TG carries on with its previous success and whether its the brand or name that has drawn people to the show and i would be willing to make any type of bet (read contribution to the club) that TG figures will be no where near its previous ratings by the end of the first series!
  21. I hate to be rude and i am not trying to be, but, who cares what you think/thought about the show, it didnt need to be any more creative than "oh lets race a car from here whilst blah blah etc" it was a raging success, just because it doesnt appeal to you, doesnt mean it needed changing just to suit your watching requirements, as the below without shadow of a doubt proves. It had 5 million viewers in this country, 350 million worldwide, £150 million revenue stream, 23 million fans on facebook, 4m subscribers to its youtube channel etc I hate the Xfactor with a passion, but who am i to argue with its viewers numbers/revenue stream, to think, it needs refreshing or changing would be borderline insanity. If you seriously think you have the answers to what the people want out of TG, the BBC are looking for someone just like you
  22. Genuinely very interested in the re invention of TG. Of course I will watch it in the hope they come up with something worth watching. But really, where does it go. I dont like to keep referencing it but do 5 million people really want to watch a car review show, 5th gear suggests not. I am sure if there was a format they would have implemented it. Why is Chris Harris so popular, is it his journalism skills or the fact he gets in cars and power slides them round circuits? Aka the TG boys, ex boys should i say.
  23. But he hasnt gone or lost his job, he just Isnt having his contract renewed. He is still employed by the BBC as we speak.
  24. You seem to be enjoying the speculation with your contributions ; )
