Good points all of them, i think most people in this country are fed up of these extremists, probably even the law abiding and peaceful muslim community (its certainly doing them no favours), lets be fair though, Ukips recent surge isnt because of the ability to run a country and deeper policies, but, they seem to be the one party that is actively addressing the situation as a "serious problem" and would seem they are not afraid to get heavy handed. Rightly or wrongly as in this debate, we all want change and none of the recent governments imho seem to want to make this a priority, too pc about it all. I personally see no way of how you can segregate the lets say "extremists" from normal population, in all fairness, they are probably segregated by their own choice anyway. The impressionable idiots are different story. The sbs guy i work for describes exactly what you say, they trip over there thinking it will be some medal of honour thing, fire a few shots and come home, but the reality is, they have no concept of the horrors they see (at best) and come back straight into state provided counselling (this is factual), so is that job done, lesson learned? Probably yes, but how do you differentiate between the two initially and at what point do you realise a real target (like JJ) before its perhaps too late (Paris too)? The Police have long since enforced zero tolerance in other areas, i have no idea if this has worked to any degree but at the very least you can be sure, if you do the crime, be prepared for the time. I am not a criminal because i know prison is not for me, but if i was pretty sure i could say become a drug dealer and make upwards of £4k a week minimum without fear of being banged up, well thats a different story. Lets get tough first or now should i say and then if the threat diminishes, the laws can be relaxed, another few years of talking and finding a pc solution is only going to exaggerate the problem.

Just a small addition: Whilst your view and opinion is very diplomatic and humane, probably even correct, i think this is whats got into this mess in the first place. We are just too soft as a nation imho, if we stamped this out at the slightest hint this was what was going on, we wouldnt be where we are today. We have allowed these people to live amongst us, we have allowed their ranks to grow here in the UK, we have allowed them to groom and radicalise youngsters, we have allowed them to go abroad, fight and come back, we have allowed them to hate preach, hell, we have even paid them to live here. If there was no one hate preaching, sharia law and radicalising these children because we stamped it out, there wouldnt be any of these people we are discussing here. WE have allowed it to happen. Hence why i think its time to take a different approach and let them know, it will not be tolerated in any shape or form.

Whilst I do wholly agree with that last sentence, regarding the one way ticket part; is it not better to at least attempt to de-radicalise as many of these people as possible? In the same way that ISIS are recruiting the loons, is it not more beneficial to counter (where possible) that rather than to simply turn our backs to anyone who gets swayed? I appreciate that's not going to be possible for every single one of these people, but if it stops even a small percentage of them from becoming (or even continuing) terrorists and/or threats to anyone else, surely that is better than not trying at all? Perhaps we hopefully have the same outcome, just a different process. As individuals we all have the power of choice, if we have decided to follow a particular path, who and how can they persuade us not to follow that path. Look at these people that join cults (which i suppose isis etc are), if you are hell bent on joining no amount of words will stop you imho. Onto these people that want to join isis, maybe we could save a small % as you say through education, but that education would have to start at an early age (as per Wills news feed), so hopefully some of what the gov is trying to bring in will help. All our choices have consequences, some minor, some severe, every action gets a reaction. I personally believe the consequence of severe punishment, i.e never allowed to return will sway more people than attempted de radicalisation (and at what cost £?) Let them make that choice Personally i think they take the p*ss as i said elsewhere, they go and fight against western civilisation and then come back and live here, but again, we let them do it, who are the stupid ones! I also think the peaceful Muslim community which i am sure is a larger % needs to act too.

You have a point, but if they want to go they will find a way anyway, as per Jihadi John, so all thats being suggested is, if they do find a way to get there, its a one way ticket with no return and i would bet apart from the dedicated radicals a vast % would think twice. I do some work for a guy from the sbs, its great to hear a view from someone on the front line, not sat in a comfy chair behind a pc like us lot. I was utterly shocked when he talked about just how many british citizens (and others) go over to fight for isis, al qaeda etc etc People like Jihadi John are just the tip of the iceberg that we hear about, there is regular traffic to and fro. Make their actions have severe consequences, it is then a simple choice, you cant have your cake and eat it so to speak

Absolutely! You got to ask the question, how many would actually go if they knew without question they could never return? Sure the absolute mentalists will, but i bet that % would be low.

Slight difference between a man with known terrorist links and 3 teenagers without.... So more to the point, what has it got to do with Mi5 if 3 teenagers want to leave the country, whether they are known to be heading to Syria or not? Different story if they are trying to return after being involved.

As I found out with parcel2go if you read the small print none of their services are guaranteed (probably the same with Paisley), I.e if you book a 24hr, its not guaranteed, collection date is not guaranteed etc, so effectively you pay for a service that means absoultely nothing except the parcel may or may not be collected on the arranged date and when it does it will eventually get to its destination.
-
I heard on the news yesterday the families of the 3 teenage girls that fled to Syria are blaming Mi5 for not doing enough to stop them.

And what is the compromise? I think the systems available now from what I have seen (not experienced to be far) are so good, I don't think there really is any? They have come a long way tbf. Compromises, cost, geometry set up, adjustability (dampening etc) i guess there is a reason most race cars run springs and shocks

I understand airride on vip rides, form over function and all that, but not on a sports coupe. I know that may sound hypocritical from a guy running 19's with poke and stretch but they are easily swapped for track days. Personally it would be too much of a compromise for me.

Wait for the sounding better than Ferrari's and Lamborghini's comments -
The first time i went to Castle Combe we all had an excellent day, so we thought we would go back, the 2nd time we went there it was absolute carnage and left shortly after lunch. Both days were booked through the circuit so no different organisers to blame. Lessons learned: Do not book a track day before a race weekend, lots of race cars out testing even though their website states track days are for road vehicles not race cars! Also because of the race cars the the groups were over their maximum stated out on the track at any one time. Couldnt have been a lot of fun for the race cars either tbf. One guy was thrown off first session for overtaking in the braking zone (on me), one second i am off the brakes and turning in and the next the guy was up the inside of me, was pretty sketchy as was carrying the speed for the corner and suddenly had nowhere to go except straight on and run off track. First day was excellent though, they had matched cars performance into relevant groups, group sizes were about right and a very relaxed calm atmosphere, just people enjoying their cars and having fun

I know the Zed sounds good, but in fairness, some "modified" cars are just ridiculously loud and sound tragic. Where i was working recently a lad in a basic Civic had the most excessively loud exhaust, you could hear him start up a mile down the road and once moving it was worse, sad to say had i lived in that road i would have definitely made a complaint. -

It Is actually, but you would have to find a pretty officious tester to want to fail you. http://www.mot-test.net/mock-test/exhaust-system/ -
I was at work today, in and out of a house where i was laying a laminate floor. My mate was outside and shouted in, mate there is vehicle licensing agency taking pictures of your van. So i am came out and the guy said is that your Toyota, i said yes and he replied its not taxed and declared sorn. I had a chat and said i am convinced it is i recently changed to direct debit i will have a look on my phone, i found the email and showed him and he said thats for a Nissan (my 350), i looked again and couldnt find anything. I apologised and said i feel sure i did this etc and he said, i have the power to clamp it and have it impounded and fine you, but, just take it home, get it off the road and get it taxed. I guess i genuinely forgot What a nice guy A question though, if you dont tax a vehicle is it automatically sorn, i thought you had to do this? I have had no reminders to one or the other etc

Personally i think that front end is absolutely hideous, ridiculously bulbous and with so many angles and lines, flutes and openings, it just looks like a mess, it doesnt flow at all. I never realised they cost that much too Clarkson was pretty much on the money if you ask me, if your taking on the likes of M3's, Mercs etc, its going to have to match it or thereabouts and what he said about the Lfa struck a cord. If Lexus can make something as epic as that, how did at least some of that pedigree not get handed down. I am not talking about exotic materials etc, just something that handles and performs well!
-
Absolutely Would have to have my Lfa first though

I get that, but, just asking the masses here, do the laws not need changing to protect innocent civillians, its not about human rights.
-
There is also a common theme it seems, all these people seem known to authorities, all involved in France and this bloke. I suppose this is a positive, BUT, they all seem to be able to slip the net, so on that basis do we not need to introduce a LOT stronger laws to be able to punish these people for their involvement? And what is all the fuss about these 3 girls who have gone to Syria, great imho, 3 less jihadists over here, i truly hope they have their eyes opened to the lifestyle they have chosen and thats being diplomatic

Tbh, to split them down, polish lips, spray/powdercoat centres its not a 5 min job, £800 is a little steep though, min of £100 a wheel imho.

Careful you dont get arrested and banged up Stop trying to scare Bobby Jetpilot as: Not illegal to own flares and as long as it just sits in his car (more as a novelty item) then it won't cause any problems. I was hoping the wink at the end would mean the sarcasm was detected, along with my other posts on the subject
