  1. Such love of a Zed I have never seen - kudos to you sir
  2. Yup - same spec as mine when I bought it new. Its a GT (satnav was an optional extra.)
  3. Up to you, they aren't really needed and are just a safety feature more than anything (if you park over dry grass / leaves it could potentially cause a fire). PM Zmanalex / Jon@ Emperor and see if they have any for sale and make a decision based on how cheap / expensive they are. Alternatively, you might be able to just bend it back into place and strap it together with some large jubilee clips. (Like mine ) Thanks for the advice. Firstly, I'm going to see what my dealer recommends and gauge it against your response. Personally, I'm a bit fussy about my Zed and like to keep it as near to original as I possibly can. Thanks for taking the time to respond
  4. Thanks for the clarification Is it worth replacing them?
  5. Not sure quite what you mean - do you mean these?
  6. Heard a rattle today, took a look underneath and found this... apperas to bit of metal something bent backwards from the front of the Zed (The view is from just behind the driver door hinges looking toward the passenger side front wheel) Thanks for any help, TT
  7. Wonderful to hear this - congratulations
  8. Congratulations! I'm hoping to do the same in mine - currently at 121K Any words of wisdom you'd care to pass on?
  9. I was told that a rear quarter panel was part of the structure of the car and couldn't be easily replaced. Just out of interest - can it be replaced? And if so, how much would it cost?
  10. Just did a 300 mile round-trip and averaged 38 mpg. (Avg 40mph) - mostly A-Roads (Manchester to Brecon and back) That's in my Zed owned from new with just over 120K on the clock
  11. Agreed. Just booked mine in to be fixed soon - but what can you do Window motors (both sides) are a known common fail.
  12. Totally agree. A great part of the pleasure in owing the Zed (since 2004) has been being part of this forum.
  13. Sadly, this is my recent experience. If there is no dashcam footage or indpendent witness - then its down to your word against his. And that probably means a 50/50 split liability. Unless you have encountered a Van driver with a conscience - but what are the chances?
  14. Meanwhile, on Page 2... http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/111760-mot-advice/
  15. I used to have a car-cover when I owned my second MR2 which was parked on the street. Soon got nicked
  16. It won't fail an MOT as its not part of the suspension - it just firms up the chassis. Thats what the tech who did my service told me before I had it replaced. He also said it was so rusty he could put his finger through it. I didn't take it off for the MOT and everything was OK
  17. Yup - couldn't have put it better. I'm out in mine most weekends - nowhere to go but the pleasure is all in the driving and not in getting to somewhere in particular
  18. Daily drive for me for the last 12 years I also drive it at the weekends just for pleasure of it. Don't worry about it - enjoy it
  19. Mine is 118k from new. Just the usual hiccups: Both window door motors need replacing at approx 80k. W-frame needed replacing.at approx 90k. Standard exhaust replaced at round 80k. Bose CD failed about 40k - didn't bother to fix. Still on original clutch. Keep an eye on those oil levels - low to high is approx 1.4 litres!
