  5. I've been trying to get something done to the scratched centre console for ages. I've considered leather, flocking, alcantara but after a long chat with my local trimmer he reckoned that for the spend it'd require for him to do it to a standard he'd be happy with, I should go for paint and save myself a packet I'm so glad I did. The finish is absolutely flawless. It's in colourcoded Gunmetal, but with a matt finish. I'm hopeful that matt won't be too much of a dust trap, but time will tell. It's no like I don't already keep a MF within reaching distance! Didn't even scratch it fitting it I originally intended to paint these myself, but after the hours I put in sanding off the OEM texture I couldn't face making a monkey's breakfast of the paint job. I'm really glad I didn't bother, I'd have spent a chunk on paint and lacquer and still not had a proper dust free area to paint or an oven to bake. Well worth going to the pros. As usual for my painting needs, I used St Annes Bodywork Centre. If you're in this area and need paint, they are superb and well priced. Even got a little work in progress update
  6. Watch out on the pay sites for some types, there's nothing funnier than a "you need to be comfortable around people in my social class yah". But seriously, as per Mikey above, the bigger payers are more serious. Keep tweaking your profile as you read others that catch your eye. Chin up mate, you're not looking for a huge catch, your after that one big fish.
  7. As a treat I opened a fresh bottle of her favourite bubbles and ran her a bath; using warm water instead of the usual cold. Also splashed out on a new, rather excellent (if I do say so myself) fragrance to keep things interesting. Wiped down all her surfaces. Then finished by polishing her tips to a mirror shine
  8. I'm only quiet because I'm doing man maths
  9. Health and safety has gone mad these days.
  10. Had a quick google, couple of posts linking it to either low broadband speed or problem disappearing when users cleared their cache. There didn't seem to be much science behind these ideas so I don't have much faith in them TBH but it doesn't hurt to ask. - Have you been experiencing slow speeds? - Have you recently cleared down your cache?
  11. I was talking about maybe trying one next with my tech (Honda specialist) at my last service, he was very direct about how rust prone they are underneath if not kept away from the salty rubbish. Make sure you get a garage queen if you're searching.
  12. After 3 goes you've given it your best and endured more than most. Time to move on and spend your energy pursuing something with a future.
  13. Looks amazing and VERY nice photos too.
  14. Except for the racket playing over it, which might be the worst noises ever assembled.
  15. If you've got The Division as a rip off of Destiny (I kind of had it pegged as a rip off of Borderlands!), then it sounds like Destiny is good contender for our next title. I didn't really love Division at first but it dig grow on me, the only thing that irritates me slightly is that the AI characters are bullet sponges, which makes it a bit tedious at times. Thanks both.
  16. Me and a couple of mates have just about done Tom Clancy's The Division to death and I'm hoping you can recommend PS4 titles where you can have groups of at least 3 co op gamers running through a genuine story mode, NOT just free for all versus shooters like COD. I'm looking for games like: - The Borderlands series - Aliens Colonial Marines - The Division What have you got? Any feedback (good or bad) on co-op GTA V or Destiny would be good. In particular if there's a good volume of co-op missions to run, I don't want it to be just a limited number of small side missions (like the coop in Red Dead Redemption). Ta, Stu
  17. Yes, they've currently got C5 on them. Garage queen!
  18. Envy do an excellent quality and value shampoo in bulk http://www.envyvaleting.com/products-info.asp If you fancy something a bit boutique, this stuff is ace, but ain't cheap http://frostcarcare.co.uk/car-care/wash/pure-shampoo-500ml-plastic/ Bathe+ is good if you want something which tops up your protection. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/gyeon-q2m-bathe-plus-cat3.html Definitely try a few and see what you fall for.
  19. An HKS oil filter came off but went OEM this time, might do K&N next time. I tend to mix it up, although I am curious to see if it has any impact at all on oil pressure.
  20. Although Stevie @ Grinspeed also carries the same quality oil, the fluids in shot are my own (not literally ) sourced mainly from our quality traders. Oil from Opie and other genuine Nissan fluids and cam covers & gaskets from Clark Motorsport.
  21. Yep, manual. Easily the tiniest shifter I've ever seen, the throw was minuscule, it wouldn't have been out of place on a rifle. Spotless underneath too. The only slightly disappointing thing was the sound, but I only heard it on tick over, not at 8K. Would I drop £70k on one if I had that lying around, not sure. But a great slice of automotive history.
  22. Owner can keep the colour and the rims for me
