  1. Yeah, I get that. I tried to include Milan, Florence, Monaco, Geneva to cater for the less enthusiastic drivers and add some culture but it doesn't appear to enough. Looks like I'll be able to sing along to my tunes though.
  2. Finally got her in, needs a little bonnet catch tweak this weekend I reckon, but looks great. IMHO! Now I've got somewhere for my panini collection. Thanks for sorting this Iron
  3. That's interesting my mates are talking about bailing on me. Something to do with girlfriend wants to blah blah blah...
  4. Do it! I'm very pleased to have found someone relatively close to home as it was looking a bit bleak. Well bleaker than Blackpool usually is
  5. Booked into Grinspeed to have the clutch line, slave and fluid (thanks Zmanalex) replaced after a floppy pedal incident recently. I'd previously not found a Zed specialist round these parts, but Andy recommended Grinspeed as Jap experts, so I booked in and headed off to Leyland. Whilst she was in it seemed a good opportunity to have a service, aux belts and change gearbox and diff fluids (all from Zmanalex, thanks again!) as I didn't know when these were last done. Thanks to the traffic didn't get cracking until 9, but it was all ready a few hours later, despite the best efforts of the air in the clutch line. On previous cars I've dropped her off and comeback later, but this time I got the chance to see it all being done, which was interesting for a learner like me. Very impressive work from Stevie and Grandad, two pros working away under the bonnet felt like I had a pit crew turning her round for me I also got to hear some good stuff from their rallying days and learn a few things. Couple of snaps below, cos I'm like that All the goodies. Old plenum spacer out... I'd never seen inside the beast before so keen to have a look. New one in. Also strut brace replaced. Cooling plate in (thanks Ironhide) All done. Cheers Andy (modd1uk) for recommending Grinspeed, it's been a good laugh and good to see it all being done. If you're in the Fylde or the North West and need a garage for your pride and joy, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these fellas. Car felt ace on the way back home, well pleased with the clutch now and the new feel to the gearbox. I'll be back there soon enough for some drop links. http://www.grinspeed.co.uk https://www.facebook...155836981151410
  6. I want to own a hostel in Colombia and split my days between soaking up sunshine and going fishing, before drinking a Piña Colada whilst watching the sunset. When I was over there I hardly ever saw any pi**ed off looking faces, only smiles. Most of the small towns they have small breeze block bungalows, a bit of patio out front, with a stereo and a fridge full of cold beer. All in the sunshine. Not much, but it seemed to work for them. When I'm low, I think of this and making it happen. Then I get out of bed. Chin up and wait for the next adventure to come round the corner.
  7. What's the structural difference between the Coupe and the Roadster? Surely Nissan must have already thunk this rigidity and strength issue through on your behalf no?
  8. Who's May? ... and how is June going to feel when she finds out you've got box fright?
  9. Been very happy generally. As above, not arsed about stickers but I don't mind a freshener even though none have been as good as the cranberry from a while back. Liked the nanolex and the glass cleaner in the last lot. I've not really dabbled in waxes before so the little pots are handy for learning. I like getting a mf cloth and applicator too, always useful. I've ordered a couple of items from their shop on the back of a box. I like it. It helped that I got two boxes too! Fingers crossed for a repeat this month.
  10. Cool CF in a Jag instead of proper wood? Aren't you going to get kicked out of the Masons if they see this? Looks , nice job
  11. Mine has a selection of plastic interior and exterior trim clips.
  12. That link just takes me to a blank map. No fear, It's not my postcode, it's a local landmark in the vague proximity.
  13. I like the global element, maps are ace. Can I go on please? FY1 4BJ
  14. Sweet as, I'm having this on Tuesday and currently my clutch feels d0ghs!t.
  15. Bienvenue and nice Zed. Perfect for enjoying the sunshine!
  16. I feel sick that my license fee goes towards mark lawrenson and Alan Hansen! Shockingly bad! Anyway really looking forward to top gear, I always moan about it but never miss an episode, looking forward to the test of the Ferrari f12. I don'tmind Hanson he talks some sense at least, Lawrenson can be buttered up and rodgered senseless any day... +1
  17. For boot struts try a couple of these http://www.sgs-engineering.com/gas-struts/car-boot-tailgate/nissan/350z/filter/2004/ My struts were very tired when I bought her, fitted some SGS replacements and they're all good now. I've seen a few people on here use/recommend them. There are a couple of breaking threads around you could search for, and enquire for the cover. Alternatively I'm sure others will be along with suggestions too. Good luck.
  18. Watching a show and not rating the presenters doesn't seem mutually exclusive to me. I love to watch football but I loathe Chiles, Southgate, Shearer, Neville, Motson, Pearce, Dixon, Keown, Nevin, Tyldesley as presenters/pundits/commentators. Doesn't stop me tuning in every time!
  19. If you've got an iPhone 5 check exactly what cables you'll need from pioneer AND apple. They recently updated the firmware for my (different model) Pioneer to support app radio for iPhone 5, but it requires at least one cable from each company to make it work. They're not like £7.99 either. GL.
  20. Weird isn't it, all three of them a various degrees of bell end, but I'll happily watch it. Not sure what that says about everything else on the TV!
  21. Yeah, but there's two sides to any bad debt. Bad borrower is one, incorrect risk management by the lender is the another. Out of those two, the lender is supposed to be the informed & trained professional. But let us not forget the regulator too, they're supposed to keep an eye on things and they missed something pretty big in the run up to meltdown.
  22. Love this thread, if I'm not careful I'll end up buying a project myself. It's like a Mini Haynes manual with fun and a colour scheme with a sense of humour. Thanks for sharing.
