  1. As used by Ray Mears, US navy seals and most importantly, me in the Amazon. Everything tries to eat you, everything hates it. http://www.raymears.com/Bushcraft_Product/314-3M-Ultrathon-Insect-Repellent-60ml-Lotion/
  2. Nice Zed, second fastest colour too. exhaust looks mean.
  3. +1 upper plenum isn't too bad either! Nice bay.
  4. I haven't heard it hit one yet, and the humps at my work are pretty high and steep. I'm not lowered mind. Do it!
  5. Well it probably took some minerals to say it, and he must have meant it, you could have bounded off to his Mrs after all; so it's not something he'd do on a whim.
  6. No you don't, you buy it so you can be Steve McQueen everyday! Very nice motor. I bet with that unit and some tinkering you could do something about those horses? How long does it take for Mustangitis to take hold?
  7. Thanks for the positive feedback gang.
  8. As promised, justice for the diffuser, top bit of kit, if I do say so myself. Weave!
  9. 5 weeks, that's insane! Are they growing the stuff off the car like an ear on a mouse?
  10. Top job. I think I'd like to promote my amp from boot to glove box. Looks very tidy.
  11. It's been tough not having her for 5 loooooong days, but finally got to pick my Zed up this afternoon from sunny St Annes Body Centre (https://www.facebook.com/pages/St-Annes-Bodywork-Centre/227248237368799). I can't say I've particularly enjoyed the mindless chit chat with taxi drivers each day, but I did enjoy showing my Zed off this afternoon. Thanks to Jon there, really pleased with all the work. Super excited about the results, hope you all don't mind some light pic whoring. New lip (thank you tarmac sportz ) very pleased with the final result. The front bumper has also been done as it was starting to look like a Maccy Dees trainee assistant's boat race. A previous owner had done a not so smart repair on a wing mirror, so these have gone gloss black. The door handles were bubbling up through the paint from behind, so they have been resprayed, as close to OEM as they could achieve. Very pleased with this as they really showed the car's ages, until now that is. Cheeky little step down the side. I quite like these, relatively subtle. Courtesy of aerokit. http://www.aerokit.e...?product_id=110 Last, but certainly not least, rear diffuser thanks to Steve @ Redline. Extremely pleased with this, but the photo doesn't do it justice. Something I intend to remedy later on today. PS - I know a diffuser with no spats looks stuck on Chris I'll be in touch...
  12. You have a Mustang? Can we have some pics please? I love them. Purely from a detailing POV obvs.
  13. Well I was worried I was going to get abused for not doing things correctly, but the feedback has all been constructive. When I first started looking into it, all the information and advise was overwhelming to be honest. I think something similar to my original (after edits) is a decent place to grasp the basics, then you can build from there. The initial move from a sponge and fairy liquid to a microfibre and car shampoo is hardest step, after that it's an expensive, slippery slope to obsession! Here is my rather tame shelf How do you rate the Megs Gold Class shampoo? I started with that but have tried a few others since as it didn't get me all into a lather.
  14. It's is what happens if you don't use two bucket method. http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/businesswomans-80k-bentley-wrecked-cheetham-5289436
  15. Nice nob, wear aside I didn't like the OEM one at all. It didn't feel right in my palm, this shape is much more comfortable.
  16. Good place to start this, good effort as loads of people ask (myself included). I know products are very personal, but in terms of pure drying power I found the Megs drying MF ok, but I've fallen head over heals for this Dodo take on it. http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/dodo-juice/orange-plush-microfibre-drying-towel.aspx
  17. Awesome trip! This has refreshed my desire to do this, I've got a similar route planned but I'd prefer to take a few mates than go lone man wolf pack, which seems the only choice at the minute due to financials. I might tweet Monica Bellucci and see if she's ip or it. Cool pics bud.
  18. Seen loads of pics of black wrapped roofs, but not cf. Sounds cool, go for it! Seems to be getting them off the front is harder than back on. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/57062-removing-wiper-arms-for-respraying-pg-2-pics/page__st__20
  19. Cheaper and easier than sanding and painting the rear wiper, just kiss it goodbye and rainx. Makes the whole ass look sleeker. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71353-350z-wiper-removal-delete/
  20. Less tasteful than BBK's but still cool.
  21. Jesus, how hard are you braking? My rear carpet's never moved an inch, with or without my laptop on it! Does it look like this one? Or are there other types out there? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Nissan-350z-Boot-Mat-/400244956938
  22. That stuff really work?
  23. One of my first jobs was to remove a Nismo badge from the previous owner. I have no Nismo, so I can't have a badge. If they float your boat though, go for it and take the gentle ribbing on the chin. It's your beast, so it's your call... Oh, and get some proper Nismo to go with them!
  24. Just bear in mind what your tax arrangements will be if you contract. Accountant fees, paye and nic, corp tax, VAT, insurances etc, depending on how you are set up. Well worth investigating. I'd imagine insurance costs for this type of thing might be high if you're dispensing pirate justice on a daily basis . I'm sure there are contractor forums out there which can help. All these costs have to come out your £200 a day, not to mention your leave is unpaid, do you want a medical or pension plan. Most of all, is your neck worth it! I'd want more than that for leaving my desk and risking it all. Good luck
