A nice surprise when I got back from work Anyone got any ideas what to do with it?

Errmmm... wasn't it the last Labour government who literally left a note to the Tories saying "no money left, sorry!"? The note was a reference to the then losing Tory Chancellor Reginald Maudling leaving his successor Jim Callaghan a note that said "good luck old ****, sorry to leave it in a mess", after they were booted out in 1965.

Christ on a bike, they're not even going to have Clegg's hand in Cameron's pants, gently tugging him back. Five years of free range pillaging the country and what's left of state infrastructure on behalf of Eton alumni. We'll be lucky if there's even pencils for the polling booths left by the next one Time to move to Scotland before they see sense and close the border

To think the first utterly compelling reason to vote popped up just before I go down there. What timing!

Just catching up on Charlie Brooker's Election Wipe. My highpoint of this election is Brooker refering to Farage as Admiral Ackbar. It's uncanny Ironically, he's an alien...

That's cool Stu. The suction cup mount I had before the GoPro genuine one was an eBay special and you could pull it off the car window without releasing the pressure which is why I recommended the genuine GoPro one as you'd never be able to do that with it. If you've a good one you've got experience of then no harm in giving Ian another option to consider. Regarding the suction cup mount at track days this will vary between circuits as Suits on here mentioned to me before. Castle Combe were fine with them externally & internally so I guess that's up to the safety marshals at the circuit you're on. I thought they were all against the suctions, so that's good to know I've not tried the genuine GP one, Dan tipped me off on DCS and I've not really looked back since.

Darren-B's 1971 240z Project Pumpkin Major UPDATE P48
Stutopia replied to Darren-B's topic in Other Cars
Love the silver black plate, wish I could have one on my Zed. Cracking work as usual mate, can't wait to see this come together -
Don't want to disagree with GM but I'd also consider Dog Cam Sport for accessories, their suction mount is extremely sturdy and I've used it to mount the GP externally to the rear and front glass also. Though I would recommend a second teather if you are doing that, for added confidence. http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk If you find a good external mike and windsock combo, post it up, Getting decent audio is the bit I've struggled with most, so far If you are planning on using it for track, remember they don't allow suction type mounts, so you'll need a headrest mount or a semi permanent adhesive mount for the windscreen.

Sweden and Norway Road Trip '15 - Write Up & Pics
Stutopia replied to Stutopia's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Having ploughed through the camera's 20gb of photos I've now started on the GoPro. If I get anthing even vaguely exciting I'll post up a quick vid. Hunting through GP footage is a PITA though -
Some good tips here, the spot metering is the most crucial but closely in second plasce is to have at least one spare battery!!!! http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/83761-new-toy-go-pro-hero-3-black-edition/

Sweden and Norway Road Trip '15 - Write Up & Pics
Stutopia replied to Stutopia's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Thanks for the positive comments gang Wendy - I think the next trip will be somewhere warm, I need to thaw out (from the UK, not Scandinavia ) Norway's national speed limits are 50mph/80kmh on the "A roads" which represented about 90% of our sightseeing driving. Motorways are quicker TBF. The 10mph less than the UK doesn't seem like much difference, but it was painful at times as the roads have to meander round the fjords and mountains, it can take time to get places. Sweden has, to my eyes, more reasonable limits, more like the UK. We made much better progress there, though it's a slightly unfair comparison as that was 90% "motorway" driving, albeit two lane, running at either 110/120kmh, Either way, don't let the speeds put you off, the countries are both very beautiful and the lower speeds can make it a bit easier to take it all in when you're driving. Obviously, if the weather goes mental, 50 is way too fast anyway without studded tyres. There's no limit on ice lakes as far as I could tell PS - We only saw one patrol car on the whole trip (outside Oslo and Stockholm) and that was the one that the trucker tipped off, so you can make of that what you will... -
engine bay bolts - where do you guys tend to get from..?

http://www.pro-bolt.com do pretty ones, but the titanium ones are space craft quality and priced accordingly Very good though. -
Thanks chaps for confirming my banana bar, ball joint end. Replaced the arm today, play was in the ball joint and now the knock is gone

Just wanted to say thanks to the lads at Clark Motorsport for the help selecting and supplying my new Ferodo DS2500 pads and DBA T2 discs, which I finally got on today. Also for the banana bar which has cured the hideous knocking that's plagued me the last month or so. Always a quick service and the advice is always very much appreciated

Having been away for a while the brakes and pads have been sitting around waiting to go on Finally got myself over to Grinspeed (top service, as usual) for the fitting today. Also did a banana bar too which has so far cured the nasty knock that developed Thanks to Ewen @ Clark Motorsport for the DBA T2 brakes, Ferodo DS2500 pads and OEM banana Not only keeps the brakes in good shape, also cures the horrible white "hats" which corrode for fun. So they also make everything look a lot nicer too She's had a couple of quid out of me of late, hopefully get back to mods and get a rest from maintenance
