  1. Cali! So jealous, can you get to an In-N-Out and ship me a burger? You'll have a full set of V8 furniture before long
  2. If you're tempted to pull the trigger, make sure you clone the hard drive first, so you can always go back.
  3. I've had the "technical preview" on a VM for a while. Much better than Windows 8. I'm guessing the live version will be a further improvement. It's nearly caught up with Macintosh System 7. You haven't missed 9, it's been Windows "Nein!" since 1985
  4. Obivously it's BS but If the nuts were too tight, why not call you and state there's a risk of damage? Then at least you could decide.
  5. I'd not noticed streaking, maybe because it's GM, which is a forgiving colour. I'll keep an eye out next time. Don't know if you've got a pressure washer but Gyeon WetCoat is epic if you do, for sheer laziness alone. As Dan rightly says open ended hose or even a watering can (no sprinkler!) is a winner. Is your water particularly hard?
  6. I'm not exactly a huge fan of waxes myself. Once you get through your current lot (which should be fairly quickly at those rates!) perhaps see if you get on with DJ Red Mist Tropical. It's a piece of **** to use and takes next to no time in comparison to waxing, treat yourself to some decent microfibres to make your life easy. The results won't be as good as doing it properly, but I'd wager you'll be happy to reach for it after every wash as it's a doddle to apply. http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/shop/dodo-juice-red-mist-tropical-spray-detailer.html I'll pop my flame retardant suit on now, for being a wax philistine
  7. I could be wrong, but from what I've read on here, after the battery is disconnected for a while the ECU is reset. It sorts itself over a short period after you start driving again. I don't believe it's related to your driving style. If you're going for an uprev the throttle response is usually sharpened up on the new map, and you'll have that all the time.
  8. Stunner, even in estate form. Worth getting up for work half an hour early for a quick loosener!
  9. I find there's 4 common reactions to my Zed 1) Lots of people say, "What is it?". 2) Women over the age of 32 say, "I don't really like cars, but that's very nice". 3) Young lads say, "That's a nice/sick/cool car" when I park up. 4) Someone in the work car park who drives a new BMW/Merc says, "You must be on a wedge!". Additional - the fat bloke in the shell garage always asks, "How man BHP you running?" and "Thinking of getting a GTR?"
  10. This is the only known photo of the location
  11. along. I nearly went for an RX8 before the Zed stole my heart. I love the lazy, low down on tap power. It's part sports, bigger part GT and 100% beautiful. Good luck in your search.
  12. If all the wheels are like that, is purely carelessness and they should be repaired such that you can't tell they were damaged. Good luck getting it sorted. FWIW they changed brake fluid at my last service. After my tech took it out after to test (on his insurance). Then he asked me to take it out and see how it felt. The pedal was way spongy. It went back up on the ramp for more bleeding, then another test drive, sorted. Next time (go somewhere else ) but make sure you take it out for a spin and don't hand over any cash until it's spot on.
  13. Never really got a wheel boner before today, they rule!
  14. It's got a show and go Glad you've taken it in good spirits Pritchard The triple actually looks better than I expected. I have a secret lust for a big lambo style central single exit.
  15. Probably my best photoshop to date, thanks for the inspiration to get out there and do it.
  16. Woohoo AMMO wins, I can almost justify the price now! Thanks for taking the considerable time to put it through it's paces Good luck with the new job, don't want to be a scaremonger but I heard down south they don't have Greggs for sausage rolls. Instead they all eat some sort of raw fish muck, called sushi - sounds suspicious to me...
  17. Totally agree, in the majority of cases. It takes something special to make it as a pro, through all the competition as a kid, then when you're on a youth deal, the sher number of other people you have to shine brighter than etc. Obviously there's always a few exceptions. When you watch players the likes of Terry, Keane, Shearer, Gerrard, Bergkamp, Henry, Scholes, Gascoigne or anyone battling it out in the football league - they'd do it if footballlers were wage capped to £15k a year - just to be a footballer.
  18. No worries, good luck with the install. If, like me, paitence is not a big part of your skill set try and take it easy and don't force anything - it's all brittle plastic. Be super careful with the ribbon out the back of the climate controls, it's delicate and important! If you have a magnet on a stick, it's handy for the inevitable dropped screw. Post some pics up when you're done.
  19. When I did mine, this was super helpful http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/56481-kenwood-ddx-4028bt-rear-cam-install-–-superguide/
