  1. I wouldn't say the zed is a much better car than a Type R, it's a different kind of experience. I'd argue the civic is actually more fun to drive due to less weight and a sharper set up. The zed is slightly quicker in a straight line, more comfy, makes a better noise and more toys, but the civic is a great car, although loud exhausts on them is a bit cringworthy
  2. Could be the same one, as I see it picking someone up, so maybe it's dropping someone up in the morning
  3. Very nice, would love a Boxster or Cayman S but I'm too risk adverse regarding engine issues on them but wish you good luck, enjoy it!
  4. To and from London every day...
  5. Not sure about these A class interiors being beautiful comments, the dashboard on them looks awful with that tacky sat nav screen, looks like it's been stuck on as an afterthought
  6. There is a lovely red one that I often see at Goodwood festival of speed, think it might be owed my Toyota UK as it is always parked around the old Toyota Celica rally cars.
  7. Parents in law had one for 2 years from new, it was red with the black roof like the one above. They loved it and never had any issues with it over the 2 years they had it (which cannot be said of the Audi A1 we had). They only traded it in as they needed more space, so got a DS4. I think it had a 1.6 120bhp engine.
  8. I would sell if I were you, plenty of time to get another one when the time suits better. Yes you know the history etc and that's a good thing, but you'll be able to find another good one when you can, providing you look around and take your time. I would also add that there are plenty of other great cars out there to try.
  9. Only just seen this thread, going to have a proper look through when I have a bit more time but I've been considering a Mk 3 MR2 for a fun road car and occasional track car, it's that or an EP3 Type R but I think the MR2 might drive more like my old Exige with less power.
  10. Anyone on here? seen it a few times
  11. Enjoy the car! my tip, do not put wheel spacers on, looks great, drives naff
  12. Nice!!!!! Yep, it was a very special car, difficult to live with on occasions but an amazing drive. Had to sell to buy a house, but will have another, hopefully with a supercharger.
  13. Often see a Black 370Z around fleet, there is a dark grey one too. I see more of them than I do 350's

  15. I have a similar problem with mine, going to install some soffit vents at the back and front to improve ventilation. Hoping that will help.
  16. I like my scorpion, nice sound similar to standard and I like the look of the slash pipes
  17. Mine might be up for sale in next couple of weeks although still not 100% decided on selling yet. Azure blue, black leather, 79k miles and full history. Will let you know when it goes up for sale.
  18. I didn't have a set route as such, just used the satnav to get us from place to place. If you are after great driving roads then southern France is probably a better bet, but depends how much time you have. I kept to Northern France as we only had 3 nights (4 days) where the roads are good with little traffic, although not that exciting. My route was broadly Calais to Ypres to Reims to Amiens to Calais. Ypres in Belgium is a small city, we went to see the Menin Gate memorial, there is a service every night which attracts hundreds of people, and is very moving. We stopped at Vimy to see the Canadian memorial and there are some trenches there to see, again very moving. Reims is in the champagne region, so there are champagne houses you can visit or do tours if you have more time. We also went to the motor museum (lots of cool old French cars) and the old Reims circuit. It's a nice place to walk around as well. Amiens was ok but wouldn't go again, better places to stay but we were there just as a base to see the Somme battlefields and memorials, which were fantastic. The Somme museum in Albert and Thiepval memorial are must sees if you have any interest is WW1. I honestly think everyone should see them at some point. The Thiepval memorial has the names of 72,000 men whose bodies were never identified.
  19. The one that really disappointed me recently was the Z4 3.0 coupe. Love the look of it, fantastic engine, but the steering was awful and it tramlined so much! Might be better without the runflats but was just left disappointed with it as standard. Was very impressed with the new Seat Leon, interior much improved and drove really well. Going to replace my girlfriends Audi A1 with one in the next few months.
  20. I've wanted to take my car to France for a while and the old race track at Reims for a few pics, so with a few days off last week me and the girlfriend headed off to 4 days to Belgium and Northern France for some WW1 sites and champagne tasting Anyway, car performed really well, it is perfect for that sort of trip!! Took loads of luggage in the boot and rear shelf area, and managed to fit in a few bottles when coming home. The car suits the open a roads and French motorways really well, relaxing to drive and cruise around in. Over 800 miles the car averaged 28.1mpg per the computer so happy with that. I didn't see another Zed at all, I think performance cars are a bit less common over there, and it attracted a lot of attention and admiring glances. I think it is a bit of a farewell to the car as it will go up for sale soon, but this trip has given me some great memories of it. Also, I can thoroughly recommend the WW1 sites, some very moving places and I cannot imagine what those soldiers went through for our country. Few pics:- Motor museum in Reims Reims circuit Le Tour Menin Gate at Ypres Canadian Memorial at Vimy
  21. A few of mine EP3 - owned for 5 years, loved it! Then I bought an Exige - incredible car Had to sell the Exige to buy a house, so went back to an EP3 Only kept it about 6 months, fancied a change and bought a Mk 5 Gti, a good all rounder but lacked a bit of excitment. Sold the Golf to buy the Zed Really enjoying the Zed but do miss the revs that the Honda's and Lotus gave me, so I suspect the Zed will go in the next few months
