Yes this is correct. Many years ago i used to for a company who made all types of windscreens from JCB's, bus's all the major wagons & cars. I used to make all the bullet proof glass for Northern Ireland Garda and our police forces. We always used wire wool & the those little square American blades to take off smears, small scratches and scabs that appeared in the windscreen making process. HOWEVER - its just the same as when you polish your car - to much pressure will only make things worse and you're never gonna get rid of a really deep scratch. You can also use a glass paste thats the same stuff as Jewelers use to polish gold and a D.A yeh a D.A IT DOES WORK HONEST. I kept on hounding the managers to start making personalised top tint windscreen ie NISSAN 350Z but it never did make the production line perhaps i should approach Dragons Den & deny it was my idea if the cars fail their MOT's Just as a footnote we also made the glass for the original Popemobile.

My mate does that green lane stuff in one. Its road legal ?????????????????????????????stionable but it does what it says on the tin & never misses a beat, Your gonna be oooooookin cold in the winter in one. My choice 1st Nissan Patrol or 2nd Mitsubishi Pajero bullet proof buy know sell later same price and people with big caravans love them and they do caravaning in the summer . RESULT ON RESALE .
-
Just to let you know I invested in a car cover as per my recommendation earlier in this forum & parked the Zed up for the winter. 2 years earlier in my previous 350Z i tried the run up approach in our street got stuck 5 hours later & with a street full of shovels i eventually got the Zed back to my drive parked it up till the summer and bought a £1,000 Pajero hey ho happy winter motoring sold the Pajero for the same money in the summer to a caravan person. £34 from SADA at the time Worth every penny.

Unless you've got a four wheel-drive if your stuck = your stuck - However (not for the Zed) we bought three sets for two cars and one for a van & they did the trick. Our cul de sac has a very steep incline then on to a very very busy main road with lots of traffic, so you've either got to rip it up & hope theres a gap because once you stop your stuck & got to try again. Bought ours sets from SADA and drove out as if there was no snow at all even stopped on the top. Must say all front wheel drive cars but our neighbour bought a set after he saw our results and flew out in his ................. BMW ....................

With every convertible feel every inch of the carpet door cars and in the boot/hood compartment area for wet patches. Take the roof up and down at least a couple of times before & after any test drives and i have always asked to use a hose all over the roof to check for leaks. A good convertible should not leak and that goes back to the days when i used to drive a Triumph Spitfire and those were held on with press studs! ! Apart from that its a 350Z and the forums buying guides tell you what to look for make sure a full tyre check is near the top of the list. If your not mechanically aware i would even pay for an AA report i know there not cheap but it adds to the history of the car on a resale & a lot better than losing a whole lot more if you buy the cars and its a Dud. If in any doubt walk away & buy another day. Best of luck. Hope to see your pictures if all goes well. ITS A ZED ENOUGH SAID.

Seriously take the cash. Repair it - Unless you know good people in the trade who will do it for you the bills will escalate out of control. My mates do this for a living & have done for over 30 years and still get burnt. Factor in the time you will be without a car then the possibility the car might not be 100% to your satisfaction. Stripping and selling it for spares - Unless you have got somewhere to store it you're gonna have to pay for a lock up, then the time to strip it down & sell, correct disposal of all fluids :headhurt:Is it really worth the hassle The car will never be the same to you again . Let it go . Go grab a bargain , there plenty out there !!

chubby ninjas supercharged build, update page 5!

Amazing build to take on yourself and 10 out 10 for keeping your heed from exploding when the parts didn't arrive. What sort of uplift in performance are you expecting after Abbey work their magic? I used to be a big fan of the polished stuff on my motorbike but the upkeep was nightmare especially if caught out in the rain or any water got to it. Everytime i pop the bonnet on the Zed i look at all the alloy on the engine & think mmmmmm should i - but takes me a half a day just to wash & polish inside & out never mind keeping the engine bay shinney as well . Wasso is definitely Sssssuper Sssssuper cheap in his pricing for the work involved, however if he fancies expanding his talents to the North East owners i think his pricing is reasonable. -
Rite thats two hours of my life i have spent looking through all those pictures & i will never get it back - but well worth it . Some absolutely fantastic 350Z body Mods & wheels in there.
