  1. I've been looking at maybe getting a cordless impact wrench, nothing too expensive and fancy BUT I was wondering if it's possible to end up damaging bits n bobs ? Really I was just thinking of having one to save time (under the car yesterday and if I had one, I could have been done in 10 mins rather than a couple of hours ) and serious aches n pains For example, I'll be taking the suspension off at some point soon, or taking the ARB's off etc, and just thought it'll be handy to have. They seem to be in the range of 410Nm/302ftlb - is that overkill ? (can't be can it, we're talking tools !) Like this - looks like a time saver ! (that one is also pretty expensive but 780 ft. lbs )
  2. Yes, definitely spongey feeling. I'll ask if Sly can bleed and test them, as the braking quality is excellent with a double tap but not quite so confidence inspiring without doing that. Great to know there is a specific way to do it, and yes, I won't be taking it to Eurospec again.
  3. My car is off to Sly hopefully in the first part of Feb, and it's on the list of things to look at. But I thought I'd just ask on here anyway out of curiosity. When my car had new brakes/lines/fluid installed at Eurospec, they told me it was a nightmare bleeding the system, and that it may have something to do with ABS (said it wasn't dangerous, and I've not noticed anything odd). I know it's not much to go off but has anyone had some kind of sensor or actuator when broken that would cause an issue ? Cheers !
  4. Right, so an hour job turned into 2.5 hours & I only managed to do half of the job as two bolts started rounding (sorry Sly over to you mate). But the cool thing is, you aren't kicked out for staying longer, so you just carry on until you're done. It's not pristine down there but you've got everything you could possibly need, and it sure beats being out in the cold ! (although I still wore thermals hah) As mentioned, it really is worth calling a day or so in advanced, especially for the weekend. I've got the suspension to do pretty soon, I may end up doing that particular job on the drive as if I break something, at least I can leave it there without an issue.
  5. Heading there this evening. Call up a day in advance to book though.
  6. Great to know, what was done to the car in the end ?
  7. They're delaying the hardcopy release date now, digital release is still coming out on the 27th for download, but for an extra 10 to 15 quid. Screwing the customers again. Bloody tossers. I was going to get this, the can fak off for trying cheapo tricks like that.
  8. Agreed with the others. Find out the problem first, fix it and if still looking for suspension, set a budget. (FYI - I'm putting Bilstein B6 shocks & Tein S springs((mild drop)), and some choice poly bushings on the car for better response)
  9. Can't stop playing Forza 5, finally I understand the tuning (as I was just using spreadsheets in FM4) and it's loads of fun now !
  10. I believe, for the ones I linked to, that something can be done their end beforehand. As it's not a priority for me, I didn't follow it up...
  11. Hey man - I spotted these, which, well at some distant point I'll order. They ship to the UK. http://jmautosports.com/spyder_auto/spyder_projector_headlights/444n350z02hiddrlbk/i-2008929.aspx
  12. Great info there mate I do wish I had seen that video prior to my purchase but luckily, so far they seem to be designed properly, just need to be fitted (early Feb). I'll be making a thread in due course on the ones I've chosen and why, plus what I honestly think of them in my particular experience. Bennett, IF you had the time, it could well be worth popping some videos up as well ?
  13. I've gone from SuperPro on the banana arm back to stock, as the garage didn't want to press out the new one and replace it (ffs ). The difference is HUGE, the steering feels extremely dull without it. Thus I've bought a front end kit, plus steering rack bushes, and will sling the SP bush (well, Sly will ) as I want nice steering again
  14. Bloody useful vid guys. I'm glad to say it looks like the bushing I've bought seem to fit the bill in terms of what to look out for when purchasing them. (will start a thread on that soon)
  15. Ok ye dirty sods - suspension bushes, just randomly found this video, looks informative so check it out:
  16. Just reading this, gives a far clearer (literal) picture of what's involved http://www.motoiq.com/MagazineArticles/ID/3407/Project-350Z-Testing-Jim-Wolf-Technology-C2-Camshafts.aspx
  17. If I could do £50p/m I'd have it right now !
  18. LISTEN !!!!!!!! :teeth: (how do I post the videos so they can play in this post?)
  19. There is on one of the upgrade packs it seems. The only option I picked was black, or that dark gun metal colour.
  20. Yep they do from the one I posted, so not a problem as Brad had feared.
  21. As above I'd guess, cold and the battery not working optimally?
  22. Many thanks for your post Ewan, I hope my post will be half as informative 😊
  23. Hey Brad, either way is great, I just thought it would be worth posting this as not many people know about them. I think you can see the ramps from the photos of the particular place I posted. Half tempting to start one out here in East London!
  24. Great prices with that company! Bookmarked.
