Yup, and I've zero problem with that, it's great to get a confirmation from people with them on the cars. I just pointed out that it seemed fruitless to compare what you'd suggested as that is highly suggestive to say that all of the MeisterR models are the same, that's not on.

Interesting. How would mounts affect the syhncro operation unless you get somesort of outer casing distortion. The shifter isn't on external cables/rods - it's attached to the gearbox directly. Did you change oil at the same time? I did the gearbox mount first, the oil had previously been done about 2 years before (I stick with the Nissan oil). That vastly improved it, no grinding. Then Kaizer/Sly did the diff mounts as the main one had popped, then several weeks later he did the engine mounts. It progressively got better and better each time. Fast forward about another 8 months and I just did the gearbox/diff oil again I've posted this before, so the OP can have a seach and see if they want to do this. I'd probably just start with a new gearbox mount, but my ones are poly just to clear any confusion (except engine mounts are vibratechnics). The reason I'd say try a new standard gearbox mount first is that a poly one will bring potentially unwanted vibration.

But did you not say yourself that they were the entry level MeisterR's ? (£700 vs £1800) ZetaRs wherever they are on the scale of things now. Otherwise, I don't see your point. What are £1800, the new MeisterRs? The KWv3s are £1600. They are the entry level ones, or cheapest if you like. And your comparing the top end road/track day KW v3s which cost £1728 RRP (or cheaper potentially elsewhere) against them, which seems pointless. Same as comparing Bilstein B6 shocks against their top road/track day shocks, obviously more development has gone into the higher ones (I'd hope).

It's mounts - either gearbox (most likely), diff or engine. I changed all of my ones, doesn't happen any more.

There is tip top info on the thread, and it truly did help me make a decision. Mods please don't lock it I really encourage anyone interested in suspension to check out the channel I posted on reply #29 & #31. He's independent, revalves his customers suspension and tunes them to what they are after (from road to race car).

Right, I thought I'd update this thread as I received a Torque Solutions single piece shifter on Friday Now the reason I decided to buy it, is that I know a few of the cheapy Chinese ones have snapped in half (Tim on track!). The way I shift doesn't really lend to any stress on the thing BUT the one thing I didn't like is that it's 2 pieces. I could always feel some play between the 2 parts, one angled at certain position - the top part would always go a bit further. Chinese on the left - Torque Solutions on the right You must remove the nylon/white cup thing from the OEM shifter, pop it on the new one. OEM on the right Here's a good channel, and an install video if that's of any use: So, after a very simple installation what I wasn't expecting was any difference in shifting, and this is why I'm posting this. Holy freaking cow - it feels absolutely fantastic ! Completely solid, very mechanical and tons better than OEM or the 2 piece (crud). I really can't believe how different and positive it is. I have done other things to the drive-line (?) which made massive improvements to the shifting anyway but added altogether I love it ! (bought on Ebay from a US trader awd_motorsports)

I've replaced 2 of the higher reading coils now, still the same. I'll try some injector cleaner next, or may pull them all next week and clean all of them manually.

Damn your lady is cool ! I never find any chicks that like cars, let alone buy one that isn't a shopping trolly.

Banana arm bushing has failed there on the front (compression arm/rod). I have a couple of different poly ones for sale if interested.

Don't put boiling/hot/warm water on glass - you are asking for trouble, seriously stupid idea. (no personal offence Apooc124! - although not sure if that was in jest) It was recommended just recently to get Gummi Pflege for the rubber seals (windows/boot): https://www.amazon.c...ds=Gummi Pflege Try that first, if the lock mechanisms are properly greased then they should be fine.

Rocket_Rabbit: I am curious as to what you think of the videos.

Excellent stuff, and really good to read your thoughts I've been watching plenty of the videos today, and I'm sure for the next few weeks ! (luckily I can have them playing at work) I imagine that, exactly like you said 'if your car only have 1 "ideal" function' - which is potentially what he might be referring to. I can see both sides to it, ultimately it's what the 'knob turning' does. If anyone is interested - check these two but do look at the channel, awesome resource ! (continued)

LOL How many miles do you do ? Simple answer - just suck it up and drive to get to that garage, get some jerry cans and fill them for when you CBA. You don't need to buy another car, or remap it

I posted the link to this chaps YT channel before but as usual, it gets lost. I highly recommend having a look for those that want to learn, understand more about suspension. It's early days for me at the moment but I find it interesting: https://www.youtube.com/user/SuspensionTruth/videos For example:

Yep I have my position set like that already, and using the CG Lock helps keep me in place but its the lower back, just needs a bit of cushioning there. I have to go and check it and happy to re-position things to gain the height. I've not seen what it's like without the seats in place, so I will do this if no joy - but do you think a custom mount would work ? (my car is the 04 GT)

I found out last month on a track day when wearing my lid it's rubbing against the roof. I'm not that tall, about 6ft but I think it's probably because I sit quite close and upright for my driving position. After some panicking, adjusting the seat at much as possible, and having to slouch down a bit I went out but it wasn't comfortable nor confidence inspiring. Is there any possible way to reduce the height, even just by 1cm !??? So, I know one solution is to get bucket seats, I presume side mounted(?), plus some kind of harness bar and harnesses but even if kept to the budget end of the spectrum, it's expensive for something I'll really only make use of a handful of times a year. I do not like the seats anyway since I've got no lower back support, and it tends to make me ache after a short while. Any help would be much appreciated ! (edit, I should possibly try another lid as my one has some weird visor thing that comes down like top gun) I did just find this, not sure if they use the exact same seats: http://g35driver.com/forums/body-interior-exterior-lighting-diy/34492-lack-drivers-seat-headroom-easy-easy-0-fix.html

They're integrated with the can. Strange looking nozzle. Ah bugger
-
TT350: You can buy quality nozzles from ebay/amazon etc Then just bin the ones that come on the halfords cans

Loving the information ! Just so people know, I've made my choice - so I shall do a new thread in good time. But for now I shall not give any clues

All the best guys and gals to the New Year !

Aye, even though I have an 8 string 'djent' guitar, I really don't play that style of stuff, unless I'm just playing along to Meshuggah BTW I can wholeheartedly recommend the Atomic Amplifire (only Andertons sell them in UK), no matter what kind of music you're playing. I don't have any space for amps, and I don't really have the budget to stretch to the top end stuff but this is a great mid-way device. I got it as I wanted to get on-board with a product that's new, and listening to it's user base and frequently updating it. I LOVE IT !
