  1. Does it HAVE to be coilovers ?
  2. You can have them in a square set up either 9.5 all round or 10.5 all round Only silver at the moment though sadly Ah great ! Not overly worried about the colour well, these are on my ever growing shopping list now
  3. My favourite style wheels for the Z, so I shall get a set in due course. I just wondered if they'll release a square stance set of these ? And a darker colour ? The set I want comes up to....£1,702.80 + tyres (ffs)
  4. Ah thanks for the clarification of that, doesn't sound too bad at all
  5. I presume you'll be using an oil temp sensor too ? If you do, can you post up details on how to hook it up, and what parts you ordered ? I guess they are universal.
  6. I'm 6'4" and I done track time in the zed with no issues wearing my lid, how far back do you have your seat reclined ? I'm 6ft, the seat is quite close to the wheel and sit quite upright. I don't like leaning back too much but that's what I had to do back in December and had to slouch a bit. I'll try farting about with it again on the weekend but I can't get it into a position that I like with the lid on last time I tried.
  7. Heh, good to hear, I shall pop the old ones on to see what happens one at a time, if that sorts it out they can go back A couple more things I shall try out too. Test out someone else's working Maf, my one has been removed and cleaned but you never know. I'm going to do a smoke test for the vacuum leak, I don't think just spraying around with the carb cleaner is really ideal as you can't get into every nook and cranny. Something like this will do, I'll either use a hand pump or my electric tyre pump for pressure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rumgJ5UBpCw I also found this which could be a good alternative: http://www.atmospher...ducts/uk-europe ingredients include propane (45%), butane (45%), and mineral oil (10%) - I think it's safe enough - OBVIOUSLY no engine running on these tests Lastly I've got one of these to see what the spark is like from coil packs: http://amzn.eu/6szs6TL Does this: The hunt continues!
  8. I'm looking at popping an oil spacer on the car as I'd like to get a few track days under my straining belt this year, plus it seems like a sensible addition anyway. The main two I see that are available are AAM and JWT, aside from the pricing, and perhaps the little gully for the RTV sealant on the AAM, is there any difference between the two ? I saw someone mention that the JWT isn't tapped so I'd probably go with the AAM if that's the case, and it includes a few more bits. Also any pointers on how to install an oil temp sensor ? As I get better (hopefully), yep I'd add an oil cooler with the thermostatic plate. The car is staying NA.
  9. Excellent stuff. So how did you sort it out, insurance ? Price?
  10. From what I read, it's the electronics underneath the leather seats that means it sits slightly higher. I'll pull my drivers seat out this weekend to get a clearer image of what's happening underneath. The other thing I may try is a different lid.
  11. I'm quite surprised if you frequently drift (or anyone tracking a lot) the car that you didn't already have those two installed. Spilt milk and all of that. Like wise for fuel, unless you meant 'normal' as in 98 for Z's.
  12. Nooooo ! I have to try someones out first of all anyway, just to ensure I can fit with my lid but by all accounts they sound like they sit lower.
  13. I have to get my butt up to sportseats4u to try some out... however, it's going to end up costing a lot. Seats Rails Harnesses Harness bar
  14. If the driver one comes up it could be thank you Ideally I need to test out the drivers seat with my helmet on, as my lid is scuffing the roof in the Z. I'm not even THAT tall
  15. I've got the leather seats but I'm looking for either just a decent condition drivers seat, or the pair. Please PM me
  16. Any more luck on finding something Snjur ? The only other thing I can think of is doing what a friend does in his Superleggera for track days, just remove the arse cushion and you instantly gain more headroom. IF that's what you require. I am going to pull out my drivers seat this weekend to see what's what underneath, as I'd like to have it mounted lower by about 1cm-2cm hah.
  17. PS4S aren't out just yet, March (?). I've been using PSS since 2013, one more set before going to PS4S. Up to you what you want on there but I'll not use another brand\model unless it's just a set for track days. Decent tyres = £ You'll just have other trade off's with cheaper ones.
  18. That's a pity :/ I tried a little CarPro Reload, actually that's pretty good (imho). So I may order a bottle but it's worth prepping the paint properly first, I didn't, I just washed the car, dried it then applied.
  19. Defo sounds like Camshaft/Crankshaft Positon Sensor by that symptom, generally the 2 ontop of the engine.. Dont get aftermarket will do exactly the same. Ah ok, I kept the original ones so I'll test one at a time. How come the oem copies aren't the same? Cheers for clarifying this!
  20. Hopefully one day I'll get to the bottom of this, hah. Right just to recap. Cleaned injectors. New lower injector o-rings (as I damaged them last week). New spark plugs. New cam sensors. Checked for air leak. Contact cleaner on all of the harnesses that I could see as well as the maf and throttle body (didn't touch flappy). Tested coil packs (all 'seem' ok). 2 new coil packs (spares to test with). I might just get another 4 new coil packs to at least replace all and see if that helps. I'll order a crank sensor too, just in case. Lastly I've seen that people can have an issue with the knock sensor and harness, so I may get one of those to try. Lastly, as mentioned earlier it might be worth sending the injectors off to get tested and cleaned professionally. I have torque pro if any settings I can report, let me know. Otherwise I'm at a loss, the car was mapped about 4 years ago by Jez, might be worth heading up to get it looked at again. Last thing... It's now taking its sweet time to fire up after the car is warm. (I re-did idle air volume learning too)
  21. Ah good to know, I thought they looked ok but not totally sure as I've not paid attention before. Funnily enough I did the cam sensors this morning, I've not done the crank yet but will do as a precaution anyway.
  22. I thought I'd better take clearer images so here we go, I've replaced them now but kept these out to see if it gives any clues. Only cylinder 1 seems to have a little yellowing on the thingy.
  23. Have a look on youtube or search on here, plenty have done it but you need to do it all, or it'll be differing shades.
