  1. I didn't think to put wax or sealant on them. Apparently this new batch of ones I've got won't change colour. So I'll whack em on this weekend and report back in a years time But yeah, think the pair of them cost £30, anythings better than those OEM chromey Datsun things.
  2. Fitted my satin ones March last year, roughly 11k miles ago. They turned a bit green & spotty over winter so I've got a second set at home to put on when I get round to it. Think it was all the salt on the roads that they didn't like.
  3. Must admit, saw those rear spats and was like... I NEED a set of those! Other things need attention & money at the moment though.
  4. Another vote for the rear quarter window from me, although I am rocking a white Format67 sticker. Couldn't find anywhere else it'd go nicely, plus exterior stickers I would rather they go on glass instead of paintwork.
  5. I'm no wheel guru myself but this should help give you some idea - hopefully I filled in the information correctly for you! Front compared to a stock set up but including your 20mm spacer supplied: http://www.willtheyf...t2=25#content "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 28.4mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 15.7mm more than before." And rears, compared to stock set up: http://www.willtheyf...set2=25#content "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 1.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 11.4mm more than before." So doubt you'll have any rubbing issues while the car has stock suspension. Not sure about aftermarket stuff as it varies slightly, also looks like going up to 20" with those tires could knock your speedo out a bit too.
  6. Very nice, enjoy. The wheels on the new model are definitely growing on me. And I'm with Octet, aftermarket exhaust is compulsory not optional Said to myself when buying it "no mods" as it came with a 6 months remaining on the warranty, sure enough, 2 months later it had an exhaust fitted...
  7. Great mods! Love the steering wheel & the lights
  8. Best looking car on here by far imo, I love it (way better than any of the Nismo models - just to squeeze that in there), and the direction you've gone with it. Great selection of parts for its use too. Well played sir
  9. Nick are you seriously still faffing about going FI?!?! Not read all the replies on here yet, but isn't the SC kit fitted circa £6-7k mark? For 500bhp that's a bargain isn't it? Still worth a good £3-4k second hand down the line if removed yeah? Just order it, fit it, drive it, enjoy it. You know I'm an Evo lover, and when done right they're incredible to drive on road or track, just to throw that in the mix like... You could comfortably get something like this just so you know... http://www.lancerregister.com/showthread.php?t=500469 As for newer more expensive cars, M BMW's, GTR, RS Audis and whatever, if they go wrong it could easily cost you more than this little SC kit just to fix it. As you say, only live once, if you can afford it, and you obviously want a 500bhp SC car, so just do it. You'll only look back at it and say to yourself "why the hell didn't I do this months ago" afterwards. So yeah, get it ordered & fitted asap is where I'm driving at here... Then giz a go! Let me know when you've ordered it buddy
  10. If you're after a loud sound (like that Armytrix when valve open) then the Akrapovic is nothing like it tbh. Best way to describe the sound of my car is how I (and most who have heard it) would've hoped the car sounded from the factory if that makes sense? Thought about adding HFC a while ago but don't want it too rowdy.
  11. Removed mine buddy and I prefer it. Feels more 'clutch like' if that helps
  12. Yeah I fitted them all at the same time mate. I wanted a rear diffuser / rear spat type thing so it's got a 'full' lip type kit thing but Evo-R didn't have any black ones in stock (only carbon) and not a fan of many other ones so left it be. Tis up to you on the colours, I wanted to keep a stock car underneath so in half a days work or so I can have a completely stock car for when I sell it on. At the end of the day, they're just black bits of plastic, can come off easy, sell on easy, and they're cheap to buy in the first place.
  13. Wow, ARK sounds fantastic mate, jealous much!
  14. Thanks mate Yeah I did manage to get that Akrapovic for bit of a bargain really, was just a right place, right time sort of thing. To be honest I rarely see any other 370's about, let alone modified ones (for spring / exhaust comparisons). So for other spring manufacturers ride height I'm not sure how they compare. Maybe somebody else more clued up on the subject on here would be able to help you out better. I have left the nose dipped as do I like the look myself, but was more concerned with practicality & clearance issues but it's really been fine to live with so I've left it alone. To get anything made just find a decent shop who will fab something up for you. It might be at Japfest. I'm taking the Evo this year but if I can find somebody I trust and who's available to drive the Zed for me I'd love to have them both there for once. It's really just my work horse these days so it racks up the miles... Good luck with your new Zed buddy Cheers buddy, the screws they came with went straight in the bin because the heads on them were too small for the pre-drilled holes IIRC. So after grabbing some new screws we drilled more mounting holes, lined up & fitted as per. Off memory there was about 4-5 holes pre-drilled, mine are held on with at least a dozen bigger head screws each side. As for scraping I've only caught them twice so far, that **** take of a speed bump into JAE and a huge speed bump on some stupid single track road up to this mansion place where my cousin got married last year. That's also the only 2 times I've caught my exhaust too btw. Thinking about it, they've been caught more often by shoes getting in & out I see them, and my front splitter, as wheel spacers. Try them, if you're not happy you can take off with no damage to your car (bar some tiny screw holes underneath of course) then sell on - no biggy.
  15. I feel pretty much the same as you, that ING thing is my favourite. But using on a daily basis & lowered it would never last a week. Main reason I went for the Evo-R one is because it's no lower than the OEM bumper, if anything, makes the front look a tad higher from some angles (not a bad thing imo) If stock ride height I'd try & get away with the INGs myself tbh. The middle bit of the splitter & the fangs areas on my are all black, to give you an idea it looks a tad like this: And the only straight on pic I have, all be it, rather crap quality...
  16. I tried a couple places in the UK too, no luck though. Ordered direct in the end, the person I spoke with was Jay Shieh, who was very helpful.
  17. That is lovely, seriously good looking car, enjoy it
  18. Are you getting the side skirts & rear bumper too? Either way, the 2015 Nismo looks incredible imo, I hope you go ahead with this!
  19. Good mix of parts there The carbon centre lip & fang cover works very well together, especially on that awesome blue you've got!
