  1. If the DRL were working before the incident, tell the garage/insurance to take it to Nissan and hand it back when the job is finished. The lights don't just magically switch themselves off so someone has changed something since you had it, which would be my bigger concern if they don't know how to undo what they must have done... I would suspect that they fiddled with more than resetting the bump damage, whether intentional or otherwise.
  2. There's no rhyme or reasons to the way orders are being filled, not helped by Royal Mail who are only collecting a certain number each day (when they turn up at all) and even then orders are sat in sorting offices for days or weeks in some cases. Car Chem's communications could be considerably better, but the deliveries are purely down to Royal Mail. If you call Car Chem, they should be able to tell you whether your order has left the warehouse or not. If it has, they should be able give you a tracking number so you can watch it sit with RM for a while at least.
  3. I do like that - the perforated leather bit at the bottom is a particularly nice touch. Good choice not going for alcantara too! Not many people realise just how badly it wears unless you're going to wear gloves every time you drive it.
  4. Haha, no worries if I can’t switch it off I’ll just learn to live with it (or just open the browser on the widescreen monitor instead of the laptop screen, I suppose). Cheers for checking.
  5. Yep, tried a few browsers and that doesn’t make any difference.
  6. Cheers, I've tried all of those options but can't get rid of it. Having it on the right is marginally better but the solution seems to be just to use the mobile site instead.
  7. Should have mentioned that it’s only on the desktop site, not the mobile version, too.
  8. Has anyone discovered a way to ditch this from the top of some threads? Only comes up on longer threads but takes up so much of the screen when it does show - any way to turn this off?
  9. In fairness, there were fundamentally only two problems with AvP. In no particular order, they were: The concept. The execution. Also in no particular order: Pulp Fiction, Reservior Dogs, Empire Strikes Back, Mallrats, Dogma, Shawshank Redemption, Aliens, Saving Private Ryan, Goodfellas, Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Terminator 2, Human Traffic, At a push, Falling Down - it's not a great film, but it's re-watchable.
  10. No UK auto option. £5k is a bit high for what it is - ie. non-GT equivalent spec, still in KPH, the less desirable interior, the least desirable wheels and standard exhaust that literally everyone complains about being too quiet. Not to mention the less desirable auto and being an import would make it a little harder still to sell. £4.5k-ish with the work done would be where I would place it. However, it is in the best colour, so there’s definitely that.
  11. I’d expect if it requires CONSULT it’ll be a standard diagnostic charge (because diagnostic machine, no other reason) and an hour’s labour, tbh.
  12. It's moved to the banner at the top of your post/response - under the ellipses icon on the right.
  13. Independence Day I get. Aliens is absolutely awesome. However, Daniel, you have let yourself down by using the words “Jurassic” and “Park” together in that sentence. On the bright side it’s not too late for you to blame it on lockdown, but I urge you to seek help. Jurassic Park indeed.
  14. Awesome work, as usual. @Ricey did okay with his small part in it too. I have to admit I wasn't taken by the new badging in the first picture in isolation, but the wider shot of the whole rear end actually pulls it off very nicely. Good choice. Also love the indoors shots of the bonnet... the frunk... the froot... that bit panel at the front between the wings. That bit. Increadible results.
  15. Bubble wrapped and vacuum sealed too, right?
  16. You're forgetting where you are, Dan. We all drive super-precious cars that can't possibly be exposed to the elements, damn it! Nope, if there's even any slight moisture in the air, one must lock one's Z away in an airtight bubble. This is the way of the Z.
  17. I don’t think anyone has comparatively tested them against each other, so you’ll only get opinions. I’m sure Torqen’s are fine but I’d be looking at the Eibach’s of it were me. I’m sure others will be along shortly to offer their opinions and advise on the rubbing question.
  18. There’s some serious backers who have invested. Sounds promising. However, I’m that guy (especially on this topic), so the most telling sentence in that whole article is “StoreDot is aiming to deliver 100 miles of range of charge to a car battery in fives minutes in 2025”. Specifically “aiming”. Sounds like they’re got some interesting tech that could, potentially, be a game changer for EV’s in the longer term (100 mile range still isn’t great after all) if they can pull it off, but that is currently still a rather large ‘if’.
  19. He’s chasing 1000bhp because it’s a pretty number and he, on limited budget, buys a.... body kit?!? Oh wait, Dan beat me to it;
  20. It’s a possibility, but I suspect less likely as the water would have to travel through the spoiler to get under the paint where the bubbling is. I wouldn’t rule it out entirely without further investigation though.
  21. Could be a number things that caused it; excess moisture under the paint, using the wrong primer or the surface not being cleaned properly. Excess moisture might be the more obvious suspect - check to see if there’s any obvious signs of moisture getting in from underneath - but it could be the way/what was applied; either way take it back to the body shop that painted it and get them to look at it.
  22. Turns out it didn’t have a 2JZ in it at that point - it was RB26 powered then and Lexus V12 powered (and hideous-but-apparently-functional) now. So I’ve been of no use at all. For a change.
  23. Wasn’t the Top Secret Supra in the region of four digit power about 20 years ago?
