E.g. "But I didnt know putting a turbo and Nos in my car was a modification"

I would be very surprised if insurers declined your claim just on the wheel colour as it wasnt deliberate non disclosure. They may ask you to pay the additional premium you should have paid if you told them about it prior to the accident. If you change the vehicle colour I take it you have to get it amended on the vehicle reg doc? You should also tell insurers, even if it is cosmetic as it is a modification.

I find it a much more involving drive with a manual, but that's just me. Auto is smooth and no worries in traffic/town but I would always miss not being in complete control. Plus I would miss blipping the throttle to rev match manual changes.

Although I havent experienced a mis fire before, the DE when hot and on idel does sometimes pop and revs fluctuate slightly when it does this. Is that what your experiencing?

I have a car cover but I only use it if I go away or I have just washed it and want to keep it clean. They are good, but I have found it can attract attension. I came back to one side lifted up in an obvious attempt to see what was inside the car. They are a bit of a pain to take on and off especially when its windy! Also be careful you only put it on when car is clean as it will create swirl marks with the dust/dirt on the bodywork. No biggie as you can polish out but thought I would mention it. In terms of recommendations, not sure as my wife bought mine for me.

I'm sorry but in all honesty who has NEVER accelerated either in a tunnel or underground car park for the sound. Obviously being careful not to speed and there being a time and a place etc etc etc. But really, we have all had a little blip for the noise now and again. I had the same thing when I was 19 and was driving a Civic Vti (with a loud exhaust!) completely normal through a leisure centre car park and this old chap came up and had a go at me saying there are kids around here and to be careful. Your car and age/image you give off will be half the reason why someone else wants to get on their high horse. (gets down off high horse)

keep an eye out on the for sale section here (when you get enough posts). I got an OEM one in perfect condition from a member on here as mine was really tatty.

The last JDM car I had was exactly the same. It always overead by 5mph compared to the GPS. My mates Nissan S15 does the same and so did his JDM Supra before that. Seems to be very common occurance with JDM cars that get converted.

Probably because it makes their workshop all dirty!! Any mates you could pull a favour with? crate of beer in return!?

Literally anyone can do it mate. It's not an artform, I did mine at a friends garage. Just get a wire brush, about 5 or 6 cans of Waxoil black spray and go mental!!!

2007 DE with 35k miles for £7k trade or I would say £8k private sale I reckon.

Drove a HR the other day and I have to say it is quite different. Engine revs much better and feels tighter (although I think there is less torque?) But I do prefer the non HR interior.
