  1. Haha seriously? T Rex...the big bitey Dinosaur. Like in Jurassic park!
  2. good drawing! definately get some spacers buddy. The Zed needs spacers about as much as a T Rex needs longer arms.
  3. Yeah when I had a DC2 a few lads on the forum had put a turbo on and they were pretty reliable. Some serious tyre scrabbling though!
  4. apart from the Woosh of a nice bit of good old fashion boost The new Civic Type R will have boost and VTEC....certainly an interesting proposition. Hopefully it will still rev! I thought they ditched the VTEC because of the harsh emissions they have to abide by? Turbo and VTEC would be awesome though.
  5. Ah beat me to it Kyle! Temp gauge is water and not oil temp. I also look at the oil pressure. If it's around/slightly under the first line (30psi I think) then it's definitely warm enough! Only on the basis that warm oil is not as viscous so I lower pressure. Dunno if that's right though!!
  6. Your passenger has to hold on to it!!!
  7. Definately see some in the flesh and drive a few before commiting to buy. You must be a VIP with your insurance company having high powered cars at a young age, fair play!
  8. Had my heart set on Azure blue, until I saw one up close and I didnt like it that much. P*ssymagnet Grey (Gunmetal) for the win!!! Seriously, your 19??? Man I would have given my left arm to drive a Zed at that age. Although I prob would have crashed it!!
  9. Well to be honest it can't be as bad as seeing a Vauxhall Corsa with a 'Type R' badge stuck on it!!!
  10. No worries Just to note that I have a scorpion backbox so not sure if that makes the join size different. I'm pretty sure it doesn't as I have oem mid pipe
  11. It's 65mm. I know this as the mid pipe is 63mm but the join is 65mm. I found this out the hard way today as I bought the wrong size from halfords!
  12. Cheers Ad appreciate that. Like one of these? http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Exhaust-U-Bolt-Bracket-Pipe-Clamp-65mm-51mm-43mm-55-5mm-60mm-92mm-/181162867008 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Hi guys, Heard some rattling under the car and fit had chance to get underneath and take a look. As you can see from the pics the bracket which holds my scorpion back box to mid pile is totally corroded and has snapped. Anyone know where I can get a replacement bracket or if it needs to be welded instead? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I think the general consensus is the Nissan fluid is the best with molyslip. Pretty sure the normal Nissan gearbox oil is 75W-85 (either way it is the Nissan MT XZ one)
  15. Forget car stats....How does each car make you feeeeeel!!! If you fall in love with the engine and the way it drives then go for it. Obv looks come into it as well but that's easy, you either like the look as much as the next car or not.
  16. I think the weight distribution on the Zed is 53% front, 47% rear. So moving battery would def seem to help.
  17. Oh can you put some feedback after you get y pipe put on? I have Scorpion as well but think I want to do a little louder. Not sure if HFC or Y pipe is best.
  18. Another Zed buyer! Must be the sun!! Congrats, hope you enjoy as much as we all do
  19. stones trapped somewhere. Think there is a thread sticky on this somewhere as it is so common.
  20. maybe best to start practising on track before you go. Track experience and learning limits of the Zed will give you the most benefit at the ring over any mods to the car. Apologies if you have plenty of track experience in the Zed, I was just assuming from what you wrote that this was your first trip to ring. Also getting some decent tyres will prob be a better bet than weight saving.
  21. I'm keeping my 350z tax disc holder in the car. Think I wil put a picture of my Zed in it!! hahaha
  22. yeah mine was rear heatshield but it made such a racket that I wasnt sure at first where it was coming from. Mechanic will know straight away if its loose shield or exhaust, really hope it's nothing gearbox related.
  23. Polo to a Zed, awesome!! Only 220 odd bhp difference! Zed pedals will feel heavy in comparison, just be careful with that right foot! I would honestly drive a few Zeds so you get to feel what they are like. I drove 5 in one day and they all felt different to one another. Just worth doing as the first one you drive you will definately think "oh wow this is amazing I want one!", just dont buy one when you are all excited without comparing it to others out there.
  24. I had a rattle from underneath and it was a knackered rear heat shield. Ripped that badboy off and all was well!! Didnt cost a penny. If the exhaust is knackered at least you get to buy a brand new aftermarket one!!
  25. wow sounds like it was a bit of a wasted journey. I even had one car dealer who would only let me look at the Zed they had as he didnt want to move cars on his forecourt to get it out. After about 10 mins of looking he asked if I wanted to buy it! Who buys a car without driving it! hold out for a good one!
