  1. Definately drive a couple for comparison. Make sure it has the correct servicing- . P1, P2, P1, P3 etc. Check clutch on the test drive as well as that will set you back about £1k to replace it. Ask owner what fuel it has been run on and if they have any receipts to prove it (worth a punt!). Must be on high octane only and NOT 95.
  2. Lovely car mate, looks like you have done well. I would definately recommend some wheel spacers when you get Rays/Rotas, really makes a difference to the stance. Just to note that be careful with what spacers you get if you do decide at a later date to lower your car. I think if you went 25mm spacers all round and you lowered it you might be rubbing. Someone should be able to confirm as mine is not lowered, I just have 20mm spacers all round.
  3. I haven't read all the posts so forgive me if it has been mentioned before. Wont the damage be sorted by your windscreen insurance, pretty sure it covers passenger sides windows as well. Prob £50 excess or something. Hope you get the squeak sorted by the way!!
  4. you must be loving it after the FN2. IMO worst of the type R's! Enjoy Zed ownership
  5. Def hold back a bit of dollar for tidying up the Z when you get it. I was lucky that a friend did a full service inc belts and all fluids when I bought mine. Then other bits like gearknob as mine was worn, refurb alloys as rays were peeling bad and decent exhaust (OEM was blowing a little). All adds up but worth it as all those changes really makes the Z feel like your own.
  6. P1147 is Heated O2 Sensor 2. If you have aftermarket induction or HFC/de cat then this is common. As above, clear code and see if it comes back. You checked your MAF sensor for the rough idle as this code shouldnt really affect things too badly?
  7. When I had my DC2 I once had Parcelforce leave a note under my wiperblade saying how awesome my car was!! Overall had quite a lot of comments with the DC2 but it was the rare 2000 Rx version (pretty sure there were only a handful in the UK) and such a tidy car. Also seemed to get thumbs up from almost every modified civic, prelude or accord! Now the Zed has spoiler, popcharger and scorpion I do turn a lot of heads. Definately get more women looking while driving the Zed! 'Meow' magnet!!!
  8. Dont hold out for a Zed just because it has a Nismo kit. You never know you could find a nice Zed for £9k then you could spend the rest of your budget on doing the kit yourself.
  9. cant see the orignal vid only the orange Zed drifitng abroad (unless this is what everyone is talking about), crazy driver but talented! Some of the russian drifitng videos are insane and so are the night street racing vids in Japan. Mentalists out there!
  10. Mine had full service done but I put it through a P3 when I got it and literally replaced ALL the fluids and belts and undersealed it just so I knew that nothing had been missed. I did this at a friends garage and took pics and kept receipts. Good service history is important on these cars.
  11. Yeah I got mine with the expectation that it would give a nice intake noise, which it did. I was already happy with the Scorpion exhaust but I do think it pops a little more on overrun after the pop charger went on.
  12. 1 (or 2 if you count the one I had on Forza Motorsport)
  13. Wales- A4069 in brecons. I turned around and did this about 4 times!! Also some lovely back roads to Aberystwyth and around Rhayader. As said you must go to Elan Valley and also around the slate mines area (forget where that is now but pretty sure it's north of Elan Valley). If I'm honest I didnt like the Evo Triangle. Evo triangle is where they road tested the Evo's funily enough!

    De-badge or not

yeah get a spoiler on there. She's got a big ass so a spolier set it off nicely!!

    Fuel type

just one of those things you will never know. I keep receipts of shell vpower so at least the next owner knows I ran it on the correct fuel. Cant be any worse than hoping that the previous owner didnt rag the engine when it was cold .
  16. Maybe worth getting under the car and spraying the clutch bit (cant trace the how to link at the mo) as I did this as mine was creaking. The clutch definately felt a little lighter after I did that and it cured the creak immediately. £600 to replace a good clutch just becuase it's heavy is a little steep! You should try pressing a racing clutch in a Skyline, you practically have to grit your teeth and stomp on it!! Best option is to smash out some sqauts at the gym!! haha
  17. Only found out this morning as it's really foggy. If your fog light is on, when you turn off your headlights it also automatically turns off the fog light switch for you.
  18. yup took me a while to get used to the noisey fly on these cars. Just the way it is I guess.

    Road noise

best fix= louder exhaust, open windows and turn the tunes up!

    Body kits

Pretty well thought of trader on here. I havent used them but here is a link of their work/appreciation thread:- http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/68595-our-work-archived-and-indexed/
  21. Cat converter....not meow cat. (Didnt want to offend you if you have cats! haha!)
  22. If it is an 'eggy' smell then it could be your cats.
  23. Agreed, really scary stuff. Just by chance I read that article the other day about the most dangerous cars and the Zed was in there. Just a shame that all those lives were lost. Does make me nervous that in a split second of missed concentration it could all be over, driving fast is risky. Just keep it to track.
