  1. Molyslip or not, just drive it!! It will be fine!!!
  2. Yup, a lot of people on hear use molyslip. Its great stuff!
  3. i normally throw ice water on my discs to cool them down asap.....
  4. Go for a GT mate as you also get heated seats which are soooo nice in winter!!! think GT also come with Rays as standard (not 100% sure though). I would wait a little and save some money, will make all the difference. Go and see a few as well and see how they drive. I saw 5 in one day when I bought mine and you can tell the good from the bad.
  5. yup its all about the drift scene now-tatty cars that can be easily modded and ragged. But as said tt Supra, S15 and skyline are all rare cars and popoular in the jap scene. I wanted to get an S15 spec r but couldnt afford one!! Went with Z instead and im glad as you get more for your money in terms of creature comforts.
  6. 04 model for £6k!! Dont say that, I picked mine up for just under £8k last March!! tbh it has GT pack with only 42k on clock and not a dink in sight. GT and manual FTW!!! I wanted to get one in blue but they look better in pictures than real life (no offence, lovely colour but not my favourite ). There is a really good buyers guide on here so take a look. Loads of info.
  7. Anyone else offer advice on my original topic!? Thanks
  8. Hi, I want to clean my pop charger and it seems that the K&N filter and oil cleaner is the kit for the job. But I am getting a little confused as I have read about having to get the right kit depending on whether the filter is paper or foam?? This is the one I am looking at:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/K-N-Complete-Filter-Oil-Cleaner-Service-Kit-99-5050-/370770965495?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5653abf3f7#ht_1753wt_1065 Is this the right kit? thanks
  9. Around town you have to nurse 1st to 2nd as it doesnt like it that much at low rpm's. If its doing it at all rpms then get some molyslip its really good stuff. Think its just one of those things as my old Integra was exactly the same around town.
  10. Filled up last night at local Shell and all their VPower has already been replaced with Nitro+ so didnt have a choice. Asked chap in garage and he said "it gives you 20-25% more power on start up" Seemed to be taken by surprise by me asking and he gave me the leaflet on it. Was 144.5 a litre tho
  11. remain above 4k rpm at all times and accelerate to the speed limit as fast as possible!!
  12. I may stick to the normal V Power until we know more. I'm filling up at my local Shell tomorrow so I will see if they know anything about Nitro+. Will post my findings if I get anywhere!! Im hoping that with Nitro+ I would get at least another 50bhp!!
  13. I underseal mine once a year, just get 4 cans of waxoyl a wire brush and go crazy! When I bought the car the rear brace was pretty rusy but once you get the surface rust off and waxoyl it should all be ok. Be warned its a proper messy job!!
  14. Yeah surely some dash light would be showing with the bad mpg and a seriously bogged down engine. Get it hooked up to one of those code readers as that will show past codes it has thrown up.
  15. Some great lunchtime reading here!!!
  16. Not sure if im right in saying this but im sure going into first gear the way you described is always a little tough on most cars. My old Integra was the same, really stiff putting it into first when going slowly up to traffic lights. I found giving it a little blip of the throttle sorted it though. Btw the molyslip stuff is very good, really does help all round making it smooth. If blipping the throttle helps it go into first at slows speeds then I wouldnt worry about it. If it still refuses to go in at all then you may need to investigate further.
  17. Welcome along!! I came from a DC2 to a Z. After having the Z I would trade vtec for the V6 howl every time !!!
  18. Been reading through this thread, glad it wasnt anything serious! Welcome to the club! Get some dodo juice and a decent polish on it and Z will be looking If you need any service parts PM zmanalex (as said before), he does a great service kit with all the bits you need.
  19. Welcome!! Hope you enjoy the Z
  20. Thanks guys, my mechanic took a look and it's a knackered calliper, found some seeping fluid from calliper this morning as well. Alex will PM you in a bit for parts Thanks
  21. thanks chaps, will book it in to get it fully checked as its due annual service next month anyway. Hoping its just a stone but will drop you a line Alex if I need any pads/discs etc. The wheel hub bearing on that side was replaced when I got the Zed last year so really hoping that's not the issue! Thanks again for the input
  22. Hi guys, Just driving home from work in slow traffic and i suddenly started getting this awful metallic scraping/screeching noise coming from my back left (i think) wheel- really loud! Sounded like a small stone stuck in between my pad and disc and the noise was there constantly even without me touching the brake pedal. It went after a few mins, almost as though it came lose but then it came back and went again just before I arrived home. This seem like a caliper release issue to you? Was so damn embarrassing driving through town!! thanks Matt
  23. Hi Andy, Did you pick up my PM yesterday?
