  1. as far as I understand it the Brembo brakes are the same on both the UKDM and JDM cars. I also think it would be easier to explain it in "Brembo" Vs "Non Brembo" JDM only refers to the home market. my import has Brembo Brakes but they are still JDM's.
  2. Another Nissan Primera high mileage here. P10 on 278,000 when I broke it. engine still running ok.
  3. Other than the fact they have been backed into by the ugly car they seem like pretty good value for money!
  4. If you can, then keep the original parts. Then when you come to sell you can return the car to stock, sell that at normal money and sell the after market parts to get some of the money back. If you sell them on the car then you will not get as much back (if hardly any) and unless the car is heavily modified to a particular taste (track day spec, rally car, drag car etc) then it is usually harder to sell on than a stock car as it can give the (often wrong) impression that the car has been driven and used heavily.
  5. Its certainly going to get interesting but I cant imagine they will fail loads of imports for no washers on the headlights. its not just 350z's that will be affected that said, if it does get that mad you can easily t-piece your normal washer jets and point a hose at the lights for the MOT. bit daft but it would get round it!
  6. I wonder how they are going to test my import with factory HID's then. It has self levelling but no washers. could be an interesting one!
  7. If you look under the classic car section i would say the top 3 would be of most use but you can ask them to advise you based on your requirements
  8. Dinitrol comes highly recommended in the mx5 world. Im not needing to do mine yet but ill be looking at that when i do!
  9. You work in IT and you dont know that a computer is unable to generate a truely random number?
  10. do I get anything for being close?? I think £600 is fair.
  11. those have been up for sale for over 6 months now. there was an individual set that were going for £450 a wheel. but they were pristine brand new in box. yeah dont get me wrong, I know your wheels are worth a lot more than this, I was just using this as an example.
  12. I know these are 17's but I think this says it all really. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OZ-RACING-SUP ... 125wt_1139
  13. I'd want them for about £600-£700
  14. I might have just found the answer to this. It seems that 265/40's are very limited and bloody expensive! best pairing I can find are probably Falcon 452's on a 245/40 and 275/40 without going into crazy money territory! anyone running this setup on here?
  15. I've been hammering the search functions and really am none the wiser. I have some new 18 inch rims for my car which are wider than stock and the current tyres have a fair bit of stretch on them. I'm looking at replacing all 4 and have found a lot of references to using a 245/40/R18 and a 275/40/R18 combo but calculating the sizes seems to make the difference way out at that. (about 3.7% as a pose to 2.7 on stock) From what I can figure a 245/40 and 265/40 would be a much better combination. (although thats slightly under at 2.4%) is anyone here running wider tyres on 18's and if so what are you running? I know the rears will wear faster than the fronts so will having a larger difference to start with be a better bet? Thanks Kev
  16. If you don't get any takers I'll give you £20 for it for a bugger about!
  17. I'd go with incorrectly bled brakes if I had to guess, especially if you have replaced the lines.. This is another reason to try your car after each part fitted and not fit loads at once!
  18. yep someone really needs to change the law to include "if you were being a dick and get a bit of a kicking you are on your own sunshine"
  19. +2 Sarnie. And I think its disgraceful that his parents would actually go on TV and say how hard done by he was. If that was my dad I'd have got a kick up the arse and told I had it coming. It was clear from the video that he could and should have handled himself better. He was being a cocky little get thinking he knew best when clearly he didn't. YES the big man was heavy handed but it would never have got that far if he had discussed it properly instead of being a dick. too many people think the world owes them a right to do what they want and while it perhaps wasn't the best approach to throw him to the ground the young lad should have taken it as a warning and realised the error of his ways. If people continually fail to educate their children and accept this "my children can find their own way in life" hippy approach then we are going to spiral even further out of control.
  20. I like how it changes the shape of the headlight, very Ferrari 458 looking at the right angle. Back in the "day" when this was cool I had plates welded onto the bonnet of my car and smoothed in (bad boy bonnet for those that remember). I'd say if you were going to do it then that would be the way forward, at least it would look factory. not easy welding to the alloy bonnet though I imagine.
  21. I have some OEM 18's you can have at sensible money if you are near york
  22. REIS do my road cover and they include so many track days a year. They also do track day only cover. http://www.reis.co.uk/
