  1. Me too.... wasn't looking for one but now its been mentioned I think I'll have a go!
  2. Its usually just the central locking part that you have to recode if it looses anything at all and that can be done on the vehicle with most Nissan's (ala my old Primera and the likes). Its the chip you have to have recoded if there is a problem although its not mega expensive (about £60 If I recall). ultimately you have to just take a chance with it, you should be able to take the gubbins out without removing the battery I would have thought as its usually all attached to the board. I'd actually be more concerned about snapping the key off in the ignition as I've not heard great things about the chinese built key fob thingies, let us know how it fares after a while! Hope this helps
  3. And I think you are correct. The one in the pic is a Mark 2 series 3, NA UK car. Bog standard with the exception of the radio and wheels. i only pointed the dates out as you said 1976 vintage, which slightly confused me haha yeah, I think being a P reg he meant 1996 vintage
  4. While I love my 350Z I can think of better track cars that will return more joy for the money. I also think the 350 is a bit heavy for a track car but maybe that's just me... If I had £5000 to spend it would be on an MX5 Turbo, cage and hard top, I bet you anything that would put a bigger smile on your face than a 350.
  5. at least we managed to fill an otherwise slow morning eh! I've given up now, it all gets a bit serious when the posts start exceeding 200 words. its become about blame and we are all as bad as each other here so there is no point trying to be a keyboard warrior like RTbiscuit point out. hope your day brightens up neil
  6. Just correcting you as per your post request ready to let this go yet?
  7. Sorry Dad..... but please replace "spat your dummy out" with "expressing your feelings" and as for being offensive, if my opinion offends you then you have the right not to read them! and while we are on the hypocracy front can you please not reply because your comments are offensive!
  8. spitting the dummy out? Being offensive? really? maybe you should try www.ifindeverythingidontagreewithoffensive.com
  9. Haha this is turning out to be quite funny. You are quite right though, its a spotted on ebay forum so you arent doing anything wrong! Not so sure you can class my comments as slating though, lets be realistic about it chaps! Going on some of the replies here i urge you all to list every single 350z listing in here just incase someone hasnt actually realised you can goto ebay and see the exact same stuff!
  10. I'm sure there are some "look everyone I can use the search function on ebay" medals kicking about fella, I think they are hiding underneath the "I ruined an ebay bargain for someone this week" medals
  11. I was always told the most accurate clock was a stopped one. That way it is 100% accurate twice a day
  12. Thanks Leo. I've had a better offer by PM but still holding out for a gunmetal one if anyone has one kicking about! Thanks Kev
  13. As above really my spoiler-less 350 feels a bit light at higher speeds. does anyone have a standard OEM boot spoiler kicking around they want rid of. colour not mega important but gunmetal would be a bonus! Cheers Kev
  14. yeah been having a look at that earlier! amazing how many of them are listed as teenage driver.
  15. I'm planning a European Road trip for early April so fingers crossed the weather is good!
  16. yeah it was a tad early.... only really brought on by the tax running out!
  17. Haha only just seen this, I've just posted almost the same thing on another thread!!
  18. So its been a month since I took my Zed off the road for winter and its killing me already! I took the covers off and ran it up to temperature yesterday and she still purrs away..... its also amazingly clean under there too! such a shame to be missing out on all these nice days we have been having. and to make it worse, my brother turned up in his new car the other day............ yep a Ginger 350z! to cheer myself up I've ordered a new headunit with sat nav so it will give me something to do at least. I'm hoping for a mild start to next year so maybe I can bring it out early! anyone else got the Zed blues?
  19. I'd be interested in a mirror dip kit if you can share the info!
  20. just what I did. even for a modest E-510, it still does far more than I understand right now. I suppose another question you can ask is that if she does like it do you have another £1000 to spend on lenses for the 60D
  21. It depends on what you want to shoot really but I doubt the 18-55 would give you enough focal length. I suspect the 18-55 will produce better pictures (if you really got into the nitty gritty) but I'd take the 18-135 if it was me as its more universal. I mostly run a 40-150 on my E-510 (which has 2x crop factor) and I'm still hankering after something bigger for those super zoom shots as thats where I get the most out of my photography... that said, sometimes I switch out to my manual focus lenses for macro work so its all relative. I think it could be suggested that she does a "lot" of homework before jumping into a camera... its a bit of a mine field to be honest!
  22. I'm only an amateur and spent £250 on a second hand DSLR with 2 lenses, I've also got a few manual focus lenses too. Its true really that most of the goodness comes from the lenses so I'd try and get a couple of lenses with a camera at least. The body is really the inexpensive bit. PERSONALLY I'd say a 60D is too much for a first DSLR unless you really know what you want to get out of it. If she really gets into it then you can always sell your camera for good money and buy an upgrade. There is also the chance that you will keep both as some different lenses suit different things. I'd buy second hand until you know where you are going.
