  1. Even though he was only.using his phone as a torch/light and not taking a call it still caused the fuel to ignite? I thought you had to be on an active call for it to be dangerous?
  2. Lovely! However check for the shipping spacers attached to your front springs. Full lock the car and stick your head in, 9/10 the clips are left on the springs and you'll see them
  3. does it have to be plugged into the cigarette lighter? I'm not too sure where the one is in a 370z. I'll do some investigations! if you're sure it's that easy. i'll be ordering one this week and giving fitting a go at the weekend. the ciggie lighter is above the passenger footwell so easy to route up the passenger pillar (mindful of the airbag) and across the top of the windscreen, on both of my 370's I spliced into the loom on the rear of the lighter and hardwired it in , as its much neater I'll just plug it in for now - so in terms of routing the cabling, to be crystal. You guys didn't remove any of the panels, you just carefully/forcefully pushed the cabling behind the plastics/headline. James
  4. There's a socket under the dash on the right side of in the passenger footwell - just run the camera cable under the floormat, round the edge of the dash in the door shut, up the A pillar trim and along the edge of the headliner trim to where-ever you stick you cam to the window. just been out to check - looks pretty straightforward, do I need to order adhesive cable tidies for the headliner trim as this seems glued down Cam ordered

  6. Me too... I'm reluctant however as I don't particularly want to take it to Halfords to get one fitted (don't fancy doing it myself). May just bite the bullet and get down there this weekend

  14. I've had a fitted indoor one for my car since I've had it and it's not caused a single scratch. I only use it once the car has been cleaned
  15. Hopefully you paid on a credit card and can raise a claim? Have you had any contact from the seller ?
  16. based upon the responses and thinking about it a bit more I think i'll keep it insured etc and run it out every few weeks to keep it in a good working condition. I I wont be keeping the car on the premise that it may be a classic one day and be worth what I paid for it originally.. so not a big issue, but i wont be putting big miles on it.
  17. The time is fast approaching where I need to make the decision as to whether to upgrade/downgrade the Nismo and give her back. However I love the car (contrary to many peoples opinions ) and have decided to pay it off as I would like to keep it for a summer car, declare off the road over winter etc. I'd then start again with a new car, something as interesting but with more MPG for commuting. Few questions: 1. Is it a massive pain to declare a car off the road for the winter and then re-register in the summer? 2. What's the chance of the value flattening out if I don't pile miles onto the clock (obviously this is very subject to peoples opinions). 3. If I started the car every couple of weeks to let the engine turn over for 5 minutes would that be sufficient? The car would remain on a trickle charge over winter. Cheers James
  18. Thanks guys - I'll send this over. I think my recommendation of declaring all changes upfront is the right one so thanks for helping me tell him he is wrong.. I'll take pleasure in it!
  19. Hmm the odds are stacking against me here , thanks for the answers as ever guys
  20. Friendly forum folks. I am with a friend of mine at the mo who is moving house and we can't reach a consensus. He and his missus are moving in the next 2 months and have sold their home, plus had an offer accepted on a new house. The challenge is that his gf is changing jobs in the next 3 weeks (albeit for more money). The question: do mortgage lenders verify employment after they have given you the mortgage offer in principle? My view is that they do perform a VOE before completion (i'm pretty sure I remember my mortgage application having to have this done) - his is that they don't perform VOE views?
  21. How about with Instagram and Twitter? Does this still apply
  22. Hmmm .... I might be persuaded to take these off your hands ! Draco +1 Adrian
