  1. Sold mine on PH at a premium price, also it was on ebay and had a number of people ready to buy if the PH buyer dropped out. Key is to write a really good, engaging advert, use pictures that are functional not pretty (although one pretty one is useful for getting attention), be honest in the advert and outline the things that need fixing up as well as the things that are great about it and make the purchase as easy as possible i.e. make yourself available for people to view as often as possible etc. I also found that all the people interested in my Zed on PH and ebay looked at the build thread that I had on here, gave them a lot of confidence in what they were buying. Autotrader I have found to be utterly useless and the advertising overpriced for anything I have every tried to sell.

    Rx7

I have to say I have always been a fan of these - stunning looking cars - but the cost of ownership and potential repairs, just scares me off!
  3. Love hearing stuff like this - gives you back some hope that humanity isn't all that bad
  4. Good work fella, like the 5th one down
  5. Wasso used it on my black swirly Zed with a DA polisher, came up stunning. Some pics on here somewhere if you search around.
  6. There is banter then there is out and out nastiness, of which this Bruton fella is clearly residing in the latter. Good riddance.
  7. I managed to fit a set of these a while back (mine were aerokit but look pretty much the same thing) and I did it with no jack, on my own, with the Zed parked in the road - seriously if someone as practically inept as me can do it...
  8. Dave 'I love my zed standard' is doing a great job on modding the Jag!
  9. Sorry but these wheels are bottom of the pile, heavy and unwanted - I know its your business but I would snap his hand off at £250 and swallow that £20 difference. I gave mine away when I sold my Zed!
  10. Snake oil for sure, but looks great if you are going the red engine bay look. I bought some for mine back in the day!
  11. You cant really go wrong with a Z4, common as muck though and cant corner for toffee, but decent engine on the 3 litre by all accounts. Enjoy!
  12. Yes defo wear a hat in a roadster! Otherwise you will end up dehydrated with a pounding headache lol
  13. I lived in Paris for a couple of years, unless you get there at very early o'clock the traffic is pretty bad. There is a "fast lane" road which runs alongside the river, you need to try get on that and make your way to the arrondissement 1 where your car park is, beware though as on Sundays between 8am and 2pm this road is closed to cars (and I believe right now the Paris plages is on which means the road closed for a month).
  14. Sounds a lot of money but I got a set and it really does transform the engine bay of the car
  15. am just up the road in Richmond, although Zedless now!
  16. Save up a bit more and get yourself a clean one - in the meantime head to some meet ups and get plenty of advice off owners.
  17. So glad to see it sorted out. Hats off to everyone involved for such a good job. See you on the Kent drive out end of the month!
  18. Ironically passed by a red 54 plate I think right outside The Owl pub. Silver one pulled out in front of me about 10 mins later Jaz plate!

    Number plates

I had mine filled and sprayed, looked MILES better - also ended up putting a vinyl reflective plate on which looked brilliant (although I believe the legals on vinyl plates is a bit grey, if they pull you for it you will get told to switch it)
  22. I went last year with Darren/Colin was a brilliant day out.
