Looking very good. I am also a fanatical car cleaner, the only problem I face is that I live on a main road and have to park my Astra in a side street which means no hoses/spraying etc and lots of walks back and forth with buckets Mind you still get some great results just takes a bit more hard work - autoglym super resin polish seems to get the black coming up very nicely as well.

Personally I'm a Garmin man, they have been building navigation equipment forever - look on most boats etc and you will find Garmin equipment - software is pretty intuitive as well. I want to do this when I eventually buy a 350...seems like a fairly straightforward job?

Not sure yet, my Astra is an N/A engine, so not much you can do with it and given its not really a sports car wasn't worth spending the money to make any changes - similar challenges I suspect with the 350? Quite lucky in that both my Dad and brother are car mechanics who run their own businesses (lots of my family are mechanics, except me!) so can do all the labour for free

Cant login using Firefox on my Mac, but it works fine if I use Safari - not sure why that is?

I will probably have a play with it - my current car I put lower springs on, carbon fiber wrapped the grill and stuck in a touch screen dvd player Given that it's a sports car will probably like to tinker with the engine, also add some side sills etc.

For my budget, I am restricting the miles to under 50k when looking online, also coming with full service history and mostly coming out as non GT for some reason. I think if the mileage is creeping up to 80k for instance I would probably swerve it even if it had full history etc...

...so why not spend it on a stunning 350Z Ideally: Under 50k miles GT pack preferable Any colour except Orange Am in SW London, so would be preferable if you are somewhere closeby like within an hours drive or similar. If anyone is wanting to get more seats and/or something sensible I am in the process of selling my 57 plate 1.8i SRi Astra (black, lowered 15mm on Eibach springs, carbon wrapped grill and boot strip, replacement head unit with touch screen DVD and sat nav - still have all original parts if you want to reverse anything) and would consider a p/x Cheers Col

Cheers So would you say lower mileage or GT pack is more important? I have always gone for low milers as selling on has been much easier if you can talk that bit up.

...thought I would come here first, sign up, say hi and get a few snippets of info. If I am in the wrong place of course pick me up and drop me in the right place I bought an Astra last year then signed up to a forum and then realised what I should have been looking out for etc. Luckily I got a good car, but lessons learned... My budget is 10k and hoping to get something with a 04 plate and under 50k miles on the clock. Is there anything I should be looking out for? Is the GT pack worth the extra money as I would have to maybe get an older version? Ta Col
