  1. I used a company called Totally Dynamic for wrapping previously in Redhill, might be near to you. They are excellent and have done plenty of show cars, for me they simply wrapped my front grill on my previous car. Even when I then drove it down the road and 2 days later a stone ripped a whole in it they patched it for free.
  2. It is quite flimsey, bit worried I might in a heavy handed fashion break it even more. Any ideas on how much it would cost for someone who knows what they are doing to sort it? It would probably pop back but then need some filling and spraying.
  3. After spending the best part of the weekend tidying it up I am left with dealing with a dent in the front bumper, it is just below the vertical reflector at the bottom and has a crack in it. Any ideas on best way to sort it?
  4. The only Z I see day to day is a ginger one in the car park where I work...I haven't parked my black one next to it yet...
  5. My last three cars have all been black - quite happy to put the time in to keep it shining. Cleaned the interior out so it doesn't smell like it belongs to someone else which is good. Used some matte wipes and it came up really well. Just need to fix the damn ashtray which flops about and one of the sidelights is not working. Probably going to invest in some Falken or Vred tyres in the coming months too.
  6. Was busy taking some arty photos of my new black Z down by the river when a black roadster with private S plate drove by. Gave him a wave!
  7. Yeah the Rays do look better, I was stretching the budget a bit though. Will pick up a set further down the line...
  8. Yep reg came with the car, I did factor the value of it in with the amount I paid. But v happy with it. That engine and exhaust noise, its something else eh...
  9. After an epic first post in here, full of daft questions, thought I would post proper as an owner and show some pics. Car was quite discounted for what its worth, needs a few bits of bodywork and new tyres but otherwise in great condition and goes like a bullet, actually I very much doubt the bullet would keep up... Its had a first prep, wash, moisturized then resin polished and came up ok. The paint certainly needs some TLC as I can feel bumps on it and the front bumper needs a few bug n tar sessions but otherwise looking good. and one that I have photo shopped and dropped on my background...
  10. Sorry to hear that. I happen to be a dab hand at CV's if you want a second eye run over it mate...(we can look into creating a couple of CVs its good to have a skills set CV and an experience based CV as a start point and adjust each one for the relevant jobs)...just PM and let me know.
  11. You got the best colour Z - me just purchased a black GT too
  12. Well after next payday could well invest in a Scorpion exhaust, will get my Z looked at see what needs doing first...Exhaust or Tyre and Wheels.
  13. Any recommendations? I would like to stick some Vred tyres on too in the coming months as it has bridgestones on at the moment so could do the whole shabang. Also could do with a new exhaust along the line ...
  14. Going to sit down tonight and read the manual. Then up early tomorrow to clean it up nice and shiny then over to my mates place who wants a look at it. Think I have done well, a few scratches, exhaust blowing a bit, so knocked a lot of money off the asking price. I can have a go at a few bits, my dad and brother both run their own car mechanic business so can help with a few others and with the number plate should add a lot of value and be back to mint. Previous owner had let it go a bit...
  15. Im such a plonker, reparked the car as the rowing set have now gone home and parking spaces near my place are available. Looked at the controls and noticed a button depressed that looked like a window with a key through it. Pressed it, it popped up, window now moves. Although still doesn't explain the excessive wind noise.
  16. Cheers, will give it a good clean tomorrow and get some photos up, nice number plate on it as well spells COUPE
  17. Thanks guys I will have a look at this, I literally bought it this morning, up in the West Midlands then drove it back to London and noticed the noise, it only kicks in really over 70mph but is still annoying. I pushed the window and it doesn't seem to be sitting snug in the door, there seems to be a bit of play in there. The window itself is stuck closed, so wont go down. Another question, a dumb one, but still - where is the cigarette lighter socket so I can plug in my sat nav etc. Found an ash tray in the central column but nothing else...
  18. Purchased...all good...until I got on the motorway and at about 70mph the noise from the damn stuck passenger side window start bellowing. I checked everything, everything but the most obvious and common fault I forgot to check the windows work. Gutted. How much does that cost then to get fixed?
  19. On the train now to go see this ... could be a winner!
  20. Always a classic if you want something crazy, listen out for the wimpering at about one and a half minutes in... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IMgyi57s-A4
  21. My preference is the Midlands one, but if that doesn't come off would very much like to take you up on that mate
  22. Despite a lot of posturing today he seems to have agreed on the price again and is coming over tomorrow to buy the Astra. Have already inquired about two Z's one in the midlands one in cornwall and both look good options - both black, gt spec FNSH and low milers. So could have sold one car and bought another in a matter of days. Fingers crossed...
