No I was at work having got the train here. Sent her a few texts during the day 'asking how she was' and 'are you enjoying the sunshine' daring not to be seen to be checking up on her! She text back and said 'Took the car for a spin, amazing experience, very good choice' Phew!

...and LOVED it I was worried she would hate the heavy clutch and gearbox. Worried she wouldn't like the visibility out the back. Worried that it hasn't got more than two seats. She loves it, in fact I face a battle to use it everyday for work now..!

Yeah I know, his company is a contract/leasing company he is not really a car dealer. The car he bought from his friend in town who was the policeman. I bought my Z without Rays, actually not that worried as I factored that into the cost and am going to invest in some aftermarket alloys rather than wait on something with Rays.

I spoke to a trader in Cheshire who has a 05 plate GM Zed with 48k on the clock GT pack. Previous owner is a retired policeman. Spoke to both on the phone and seemed very genuine. Just had a service MoT and a few new parts on it. Can send over the guys email addy and phone number if you like? He can offer delivery as well if you like? He had it priced at £8995. I might try get down there again tomorrow and get some shots in the sun. I am a budding amateur photographer and got a few already but the road was a bit crowded and it was overcast (although that gave a good condition for the shots would like to stick a polarizing filter on and have a nice blue backdrop sky).

The weather screams at your roadster but I think the coupe looks x10 better Sounds like you are hunting in the same area I was, pre 2006, sub 50k miles (make sure you get full Nissan service history stamped book), GT pack but I really wanted black! I was looking at roughly 2004/2005 cars under £10k and I would say about half are silver, another quarter are orange, the rest made up of black blue and gunmetal. Black and Blue certainly were a lot rarer at that price level and spec level than Orange or Silver.

Yeah I know it, I am always a bit nervous that the car will break down or something and the tide comes in... Good location along there though, I live on that road so always handy for photo shoots. Bit of a pain when the rowing set are there using the road as some sort of footpath though...

Just standard I think, cant see any drills or grooves. Spoke to my dad over the phone just now (who is a car mechanic) and he thinks it might be a back plate behind the disc rubbing. Either that or something trapped in the caliper rubbing the disc. Either way going to drive over to his Friday and have him dismantle it and take a look.

It also makes a clack sound when I stop and put it in reverse...sure I saw something about that somewhere?

Hiya Had a skim through the posts in here but couldnt find anything covering my problem. Hadn't noticed it before as it is on the passenger side only and it was only when someone opened the window whilst in the passenger seat they heard the noise. Its from the rear passenger side, a sort of repetitive shh sound. Sounds like something rubbing against something else every 1/4 second or so. It doesn't happen until I have been driving for about 10 mins then it gets progressively louder. The previous owner said he put new discs on the car. So I am assuming its the brake pads rubbing against the discs? Maybe the distance is not great enough so when the pads heat up they expand or something? Any ideas?

Think I will go the full hog and get a new head unit rather than any hack - for the time being this is brilliant

Defo give us a wave mate don't suppose you have a 08 plate RX8 do you? Think it might have been a light colour? I was driving through Roehampton a few days ago and remember one sitting in behind me at some lights just before I got to the A3...?

Bought a Sony one from Amazon, gave it a try just now with my iPhone and it absolutely pumps the music out without any interference. Very pleased and will suffice as a music player for now. Saw some mixed reviews on this but mine seems to be working just fine.

I used a company called Totally Dynamic for wrapping previously in Redhill, might be near to you. They are excellent and have done plenty of show cars, for me they simply wrapped my front grill on my previous car. Even when I then drove it down the road and 2 days later a stone ripped a whole in it they patched it for free.

It is quite flimsey, bit worried I might in a heavy handed fashion break it even more. Any ideas on how much it would cost for someone who knows what they are doing to sort it? It would probably pop back but then need some filling and spraying.

After spending the best part of the weekend tidying it up I am left with dealing with a dent in the front bumper, it is just below the vertical reflector at the bottom and has a crack in it. Any ideas on best way to sort it?

The only Z I see day to day is a ginger one in the car park where I work...I haven't parked my black one next to it yet...
