Thats not a bad point!! Actually what if mobile phones can have sensors in them that show direction/movement etc we should be able to buy something that goes into the car! What do you recon? Remember, this was my idea!!Funnily enough, if i go to a car park, i always take a photo of the cars either side of me!! so that i have their number plates just in case!! sneaky eh!! think you'll find most mobiles already have those sensor in them Dont think she'd be able to use a mobile phone...especially THAT app!!...she cant even reverse!! Its not an App, its a part of the infrastructure of the car that is parked i.e. if it moves a particular amount (that would constitute a collision) it would then activate a camera on the front and back of the car that took pictures. All well and good but what about people that have no choice that have to use a vehicle for work? Clearly its not aimed at them (even though they are affected - but companies like BP offer fuel cards to VAT registered businesses to get reductions in the cost) but at your lazy driver who could use public transport as an alternative.

I *nearly* went for my stag do - but some volcano called eijafijadoholalalaa exploded and grounded all the flights! I did some research and it talked a lot about the scenery, the lights etc. I recently went to Oslo and if their beer prices are anything to go by be prepared for £8 a pint!

But there were probably a quarter of the cars 25 years ago compared to now - definitely more lanes on motorways and more taxation on fuel to make you use cars less, but its just keeping up with population growth and vehicle usage, it can't outpace it.

There are some much more knowledgeable people than me on here but I would suggest a detox shampoo then clay bar - wash with normal shampoo - for the swirl marks, you may need to machine polish (Megs Ultimate Compound is good for this) - then wax and seal.

There have been some favourable reviews on the clay mitts recently on here (do a searchy) if you want a more beginners introduction to clay bar work. It isnt as bad as you think using the bars, just make sure you keep the surface well covered in lubrication to prevent any marring. Once you do one panel and run your finger tips over it you will wonder why you never did it before, the difference is huge.

White spirit is a paint thinner (and I believe is an ingredient in some car wax?), you will have a hardened coat of lacquer on your cars paint, as long as you use a small amount and rinse within a few minutes I have found its absolutely fine.

I have used bug and tar and white spirit when debadging my cars - paint has been fine?

I have a 4s, have had it for about 2 1/2 years now and has done this a couple of times. Aforementioned reset worked both times. I did have a problem with the 4s when I first got it, the speaker failed, took it back to carphone warehouse and they simply checked it and swapped it for another one - no problems at all.

I was out cleaning my gleaming red VX220 and an american couple walked by and the guy in the thickest yank accent went 'hey man, nice ferrari' !

What if someone suddenly showed us a picture of a car which as standard had the same rear bumper as the chargespeed one? Would you all then remove the bumper as you shouldnt be trying to be something you are not? The bumper takes inspiration from the GTR, not sure it really matters.

Would the DVLA not want to know?

Neighbour got a knock on the door last night to be faced with two coppers and a burly Polish fella in a Curry's coat. Walked outside to see the right hand side of his Range Rover smashed up - turns out the Polish guy is a delivery driver for Curry's and took his HGV down our road (which is clearly signposted unsuitable for HGVs) and just drove into it before driving off...then got stuck at the top of our road trying to get around the corner and couldnt get out. Police arrived and a neighbour came out and said they saw the lorry hit the Range Rover... ...so Curry's are paying up and the driver is off for a court date for failing to stop

Not 350z related but still funny, went with mate and his girlfriend whilst at uni to a football match - was the first game she had ever been to - she was adamant she had read up on the rules and was confident she could contribute to the banter on the terraces...we were really supportive of her right up until when the teams ran out and she asks 'so who is the guy in black'

Your Zed is not polarising, its just how people drive regardless. I have a R33 and a Ford Focus - get the same behaviour from people no matter what car I am out in. Had the same in the VX220 which was scarily exposed (imagine small lightweight tub about 6 inches off the ground) - really, its not a Zed thing.

Asking price & selling price are 2 very different things I know that, I would bet my last quid that on average people get no more than 10% off...still doesn't put the budget in a good place.

I think Billy had the seller at gunpoint - that or had some very interesting pictures of the seller that could potentially fall into the wrong hands There are something like 180 Zeds for sale on AT last time I looked - I would have a guess about 2 of them are under £4500 - so you are getting effectively the bottom 1% of cars out there in the market. It could be ok, but it will be a very early import or massive high miler.

All as above but I bought one for £40 from Halfords instead of Stormforce - pretty much identical one branded one not (both 4 layer, breathable, materials etc) Stormforce are circa £150. All the VX220 boys used to get them and were ultra OCD because of the paintwork/clam issues on the cars and they all recommended the Halfords ones. Putting on first time will take ages, by fourth or fifth you will have the technique nailed down!
